Chapter 339: Chapter 339: Extraordinary Person
The fight was now intense, but Zhuo Hang was hiding in the snow on the other side, observing through his binoculars. He watched as everyone else was fighting desperately, a slight smile played on his lips, "Fight on, you have to finish your battle before I can come out and clean up the aftermath."
At this time, Cui Qi also hurried over and stayed beside Zhuo Hang, evidently still in shock, "Old pal, this is my umpteenth time going undercover for you, but this time it’s truly eye-opening. The things I’ve encountered, they are beyond my wildest imagination."
Zhuo Hang seemed indifferent, he replied dismissively, "Didn’t I already tell you that the risks of this assignment were unprecedented? You didn’t take it seriously then."
"I didn’t expect the risk to be of such a magnitude." Cui Qi shook his head and sighed, adding, "If I had known, I would have asked for more money."
"It’s not too late now. Even if it’s for nothing else but to thank you for the heads up about the arrival of my boss, giving me a chance to steer clear, it counts as a big contribution. I’ll reward you handsomely when we get back." Zhuo Hang’s words didn’t boost morale at all, and Cui Qi was still downcast, "Looking at the situation now, we should first think about getting out of here alive."
Looking at Zhuo Hang who seemed to enjoy the intense battle scene, Cui Qi couldn’t understand, "Zhuo Hang, since you knew the boss was coming, why didn’t you inform your companions beforehand so that they could be prepared?"
"Why should I do that? Since the boss is coming, everyone will have to fight sooner or later. There’s no escaping it, so let’s just fight." Zhuo Hang seemed to take it for granted, as though he was eagerly looking forward to both sides fighting.
Zhuo Hang added, "Although, I didn’t expect a snow monster to join in and spice things up. However, it makes the scene even more interesting."
But when Zhuo Hang saw Su Hui surviving a dangerous moment in the battle, he tensed up and then breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed he cared about Su Hui’s safety.
Just then, a snow monster quietly approached from behind. By the time Zhuo Hang and Cui Qi noticed, the snow monster was already near, and it sent both of them flying with a direct punch.
"Damn it, I knew we couldn’t avoid this." Cui Qi hit a stone wall and his face was injured.
Cui Qi was in a lot of pain, and also terrified. He had no faith in himself facing down the enormous snow monster. The sheer force of its punch revealed a stark disparity in their strength.
However, Zhuo Hang quickly got back on his feet, brushed the snow off his body, and appeared nonchalant. To Cui Qi’s disbelief, the wound on Zhuo Hang’s face was healing at an astonishing speed.
Cui Qi had seen this kind of situation before, but only on the boss. Now, the same thing was happening to Zhuo Hang.
"What a bother, I really didn’t want to fight." Zhuo Hang stayed where he was, started to warm up, and completely ignored the snow monster.
Apparently feeling ignored, the snow monster roared then charged again, aiming a punch at Zhuo Hang.
"Come on, let’s see who’s got the stronger fist." Zhuo Hang, excited, threw his punch as well, directly countered with a punch, in a contest of brute force.
The snow monster was much bigger, its fist larger. Compared to it, Zhuo Hang’s fists were pitifully small, but, surprisingly, the outcome of the small punch against the large one was unexpected.
With a yowl of pain, the snow monster staggered backward, while Zhuo Hang remained unmoved, a clear demonstration of strength showing he was stronger than the snow monster.
"How is this possible, Zhuo Hang is actually this powerful." Cui Qi couldn’t believe it, as he saw Zhuo Hang roaring with laughter, taking the initiative to attack.
The snow monster seemed to realize Zhuo Hang should not be provoked and was considering retreating. But Zhuo Hang didn’t let up and pursued relentlessly. With punches and kicks, he made the snow monster tumble and crawl.
However, the snow monster, being no pushover, knew it couldn’t escape and, after steadying itself, charged at Zhuo Hang with its huge body.
"Damn, I shouldn’t have underestimated you, you beast." Zhuo Hang, having just got up, was knocked down again by the snow monster, his voice breaking off.
One stomp after another, the snow monster seemed terrified of Zhuo Hang retaliating, and was stomping him constantly, as if to stop him from getting back on his feet.
However, after enduring the potent attack, Zhuo Hang kicked the snow monster on its leg unbalancing it, then with another kick, knocked it to the ground.
Cui Qi watched on, shocked, unsure how Zhuo Hang was doing after taking such a fierce beating.
But then Zhuo Hang was back on his feet, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, then with one direct kick, broke one of the snow monster’s legs.
"Not bad, it’s rare to have been beaten like this. In acknowledgement of your fight, I won’t show any mercy." Zhuo Hang said casually, as he started to beat the snow monster, breaking all its limbs.
A mournful sound came from the snow monster’s mouth, a plea for mercy. With its eyes losing their vitality, it looked very pitiful.
Zhuo Hang didn’t finish it off, but instead flexed his muscles, as if he had gotten a bit tired from the fight. He turned to Cui Qi, who was dumbstruck at the scene and asked, "What do you think we should do with this snow monster?"
Cui Qi said, "It’s not a threat anymore, why not choose to forgive where you may?"
To this, Zhuo Hang sneered repeatedly, "It was the snow monster that attacked us first. Do you think that if we were at a disadvantage, it would spare us?" After saying that, he twisted the snow monster’s neck, killing it.
Cui Qi watched Zhuo Hang kill the snow monster so easily, dumbstruck, barely able to close his gaping jaw.
"Damn, it was this hard to deal with one snow monster, if there were two, God help us." Zhuo Hang once again wiped the blood from his mouth. He walked over to Cui Qi, completely disregarding his terrified expression, gave a pat on Cui Qi’s shoulder, and said lightly, "Remember, as long as you follow me, I make sure you won’t lose out."
"One more thing, you have witnessed my biggest secret today. Do not tell anyone about it, or else..." Zhuo Hang did not mention what the consequence would be. He knew Cui Qi was smart and would understand.
Cui Qi didn’t respond, he was deeply moved and his thoughts were jumbled.
After a long while, Cui Qi finally regained his composure. He looked at Zhuo Hang’s retreating figure and couldn’t help but wonder, who was Zhuo Hang? Why did he possess a similar power and ability as the boss?
Zhuo Hang didn’t care about what Cui Qi was thinking. He picked up his binoculars again to monitor the battleground. His main concern was the two targets, one was the boss, and the other was Su Hui.
