Now, Ning Qi, Hu Bo, Kang Rong, and the supervisor were trudging through the blizzard. They were all sleep-deprived and the forced march was draining them.

Kang Rong, having the least stamina, could hardly hold up anymore, she muttered, "Do we really have to go out in this blizzard?"

"We have no other choice. Do you want Gu Fan and his team to notice our unusual behavior?" Ning Qi, although also a woman, had a stronger will than Kang Rong.

Kang Rong still had some concern, "Even if we managed to sneak out successfully, Gu Fan might still find out."

Ning Qi circled the tree before announcing, "This is the place. Time to dig."

The two men started digging. They swiftly removed the snow, revealing not soil, but a stone slab.

"Good, this is it." Ning Qi affirmed. Hu Bo took the lead to pry open the slab, uncovering a subterranean tunnel leading to an unknown destination.

Hu Bo took the lead and descended into the tunnel, followed by Kang Rong and then Ning Qi. However, before Ning Qi went down, she reminded the supervisor to stay behind and keep a lookout. Although it was unlikely that Gu Fan would catch up, she wanted to be cautious.

The tunnel was not very long, and after a while, Hu Bo encountered a small iron door. He pushed it open, took a deep breath, and proceeded onward.

This was a tiny underground chamber filled with boxes of treasures. Ning Qi descended and seeing the numerous boxes, a smile spread across her face, "Nice, we’re back."

Hu Bo was the first one who couldn’t resist. He opened a box and found it filled with gold and silver treasures of huge value.

"We’re rich!" Kang Rong couldn’t help but exclaim excitedly. Ning Qi nodded, "Pack quickly. Take as much as you can, but don’t get too greedy. Don’t overload yourselves and slow us down. We can come back for the rest. We have a long future ahead."

Hu Bo was also very delighted, "Haha, too bad for the Deng brothers, their share of the treasure is ours now."

"Exactly!" Kang Rong picked up two gold ingots, her face filled with a huge smile.

Hu Bo packed a reasonable amount and left first, carrying his bag. He felt the weight and sighed to himself, grateful for Ning Qi’s thoughtful advice.

When Hu Bo climbed out of the tunnel and handed the bag to the supervisor, the supervisor was overjoyed. He quickly inspected the content and asked in surprise, "What’s going on? Why is there only so much?"

To this, Hu Bo explained, "Even this much has tired me out. Ning Qi said not to be too greedy or add unnecessary burden. We have plenty of time. If we can’t carry everything in one go, we can come back for the rest."

"That makes sense!" The supervisor began to count the treasures they had brought up, he couldn’t help but say, "We’ve struck it rich this time, seriously rich."

Suddenly, without any warning, Hu Bo pointed his gun at the supervisor, startling him, "Hu Bo, what the hell are you doing? Are you planning to make off with the treasure on your own? You better think this through. If anything happens to me, there will be no one to vouch for you, and you’ll be in deep trouble."

"Don’t worry, I’ll tell them you were eaten by wolves, and Ning Qi will say the same." Hu Bo smirked coldly. His eyes narrowed, revealing a look of disgust.

The supervisor was scaring, "Does Ning Qi know about this? Would she let you do such a thing?"

Hu Bo snorted coldly, "Of course Ning Qi knows. In fact, it was her idea. You’ve been using your status to force her into compromising, and you’ve been bullying her all this while."

Upon hearing this, the supervisor’s heart sank, he felt like he had fallen into a trap, "Hu Bo, believe me, I didn’t, I’ve always respected Ning Qi’s freedom. I never forced her into anything. I don’t know why she would say that, but I feel we’ve all been used by Ning Qi."
