Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 1551: Falling into a Trap

Chapter 1551: Chapter 1551: Falling into a Trap

It’s daytime now, the sun has risen, and under the sunlight, vampires have no room for action unless someone can call upon the wind and rain to change the weather.

Wait a second, Gu Fan’s expression turned to one of horror, recalling what Gu Ling had said about a woman in Organization X who understood magic, known as Ye Yue.

"Damn!" Gu Fan quickly picked up the walkie-talkie to call the command center, only to find the signal was severely interfered with, which made his heart sink even further.

Gu Fan and Su Hui immediately hurried on their way, hoping to find the Hunter’s Guild and Lin Yue before the battle began.

The sky was still dim before, but now the sun has come out, and the time to launch the attack has also arrived. It’s believed that troops have already converged from all directions, and the battle is imminent and unavoidable.

Gu Fan thought that if this was a trap, Organization X would certainly endure and let more forces enter before starting their annihilation.

Su Hui was calculating; given the current pace, all units were advancing quickly towards that villa. It’s believed that it would only take half an hour to reach the target, meaning Organization X was very likely to launch a counterattack in fifteen minutes.

Fifteen minutes, Gu Fan felt anxious because fifteen minutes was not enough time to find the Hunter’s Guild, and by then, they could only hope the hunters would be able to protect Lin Yue.

There was no other way, Gu Fan could only give it his all, and the rest was up to luck.

The two of them sprinted at full speed only to realize something was wrong — the sky began to darken, sending a chill through their hearts.

"My God, it’s really happening." Gu Fan looked at the sky, filled with dark clouds blocking out the sun, plunging the surroundings into darkness, meaning the sunlight could no longer restrict the vampires’ movements.

At that moment, the walkie-talkie crackled to life, filled with urgent shouts, gunfire, and in the distance, the roars of vampires could be faintly heard.

"Vampires, vampires everywhere, we’re ambushed by vampires!"

"We need backup, requesting support!"

Gu Fan picked up the walkie-talkie, wanting to say something, but as he listened to those screams, his heart kept sinking, and he found himself speechless, even unsure how to handle the situation at that moment.

Su Hui was worried: "What should we do? Aside from the Hunter’s Guild, everyone else is encountering vampires for the first time. If this goes on, I’m afraid we might face total annihilation."

Gu Fan thought for a moment, then shook his head: "Don’t worry, many vampires have only transformed recently. Newbie vampires against elite troops, it’s still hard to say who will win or lose."

"Really?" Su Hui still lacked confidence, for the roars from the walkie-talkie were gradually overpowering the screams.

Just at that moment, more than ten vampires passing by happened to see Gu Fan and Su Hui. Since they were newly transformed vampires, they didn’t know that these two were not to be trifled with.

"Damn, a beauty." The vampires jumped down from the treetops, each of them excited and gazing at Su Hui with ill intent.

Gu Fan gave a wry smile: "Perfect, I need to find out some information, and you guys just delivered yourselves to my doorstep."

"You trying to get information?" The vampire looked unimpressed, even licking his lips.

Gu Fan asked, "Tell me, what’s the current Organization X deployment around here, and just how many vampires have come?"

"Pssh, why should we tell you?" A vampire showed a disdainful expression, but the next second he was horrified to see Gu Fan bearing down on him, as a wooden stake pierced through his heart.

Gu Fan killed a vampire cleanly, then spoke indifferently, "See that? That’s what happens when you don’t cooperate. Also, let me add, I don’t have time to chat with you, so answer my question quickly. Then, make amends, leave Organization X, and become a good vampire."

Hearing this, several vampires were stunned, their subsequent reactions were all over the place.

Seeing the vampires refused to answer, Gu Fan had no choice but to dispose of two more; killing vampires was now incredibly easy for him.

"Who... who exactly are you?" These vampires recognized they had met their match and their faces showed fear.

Gu Fan looked impatient, "Who I am doesn’t matter, what’s important is that you answer my question, or you’ll end up like this." Saying that, Gu Fan tossed out a vampire whose heart had been pierced and whose body had turned ashen.

The vampires knew they couldn’t win, completely dominated by fear, no longer possessing the courage to fight. They hurriedly turned and ran, thinking maybe they could escape with their speed advantage.

"What a hassle, always stirring up so much trouble." Gu Fan scratched his head with a look of resignation and then quickly pursued them.

If this were in the past, for Gu Fan to catch up to a vampire with his speed would have been quite an accomplishment, but now he had made several qualitative leaps in strength. Not only could he catch one, but he could also round up all the fleeing vampires.

In the end, Gu Fan left only one alive, disposing of all the others, then warned the survivor that if he didn’t want to die, he’d better answer Gu Fan’s questions properly.

The vampire quickly divulged everything he knew. He was originally a vagrant living on the streets with no fixed abode, and a month ago, he was captured by vampires and forced to become one of them.

Gu Fan wasn’t interested in these details and urged the vampire to get to the point: as of now, centering around that villa, just how many vampires were assembled.

The exact number, the vampire didn’t know. He only knew that his own hideout housed nearly five hundred vampires, and that they had all indeed come.

This was problematic. Based on the information Gu Fan had collected, Organization X had at least thirty posts all over the world. If each one had five hundred vampires, then the vampires gathered here would be at least ten thousand strong.

"What do we do, retreat?" In fact, Su Hui knew clearly in her heart that they had already fallen into Organization X’s meticulously arranged ambush, and retreating was simply impossible. At this point, participants from all the major forces seemed only set for slaughter.

Gunfire was already breaking out around them, even the sound of helicopters overhead could be heard; the situation appeared increasingly dire. At this rate, within an hour, it likely would be a complete rout.

Whether they lose or win, originally Gu Fan should just sit back and watch the tigers fight. He disliked both sides in the conflict – one was the enemy, and the other unfriendly towards him.

Unfortunately, as long as Organization X stood untoppled, Helen’s New X Organization couldn’t rise. Therefore, Gu Fan decided to get involved in this battle; at the very least, he had to deal with Xue Wang, the most troublesome obstacle.

So, Gu Fan spread out the map, began to calculate, and asked Su Hui to mark the possible current positions of different troops for reference.
