Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 1550: Gathering Again

Chapter 1550: Chapter 1550: Gathering Again

The Hunter’s Guild’s elite forces were fully mobilized, and various powers had also dispatched tens of thousands of troops, with tycoons, hunters, Gu Fan, Su Hui, and other experts in charge.

Of course, these VIPs had also sought the assistance of Shennv Xuanhui, but Qian Feng didn’t give them the time of day, even going as far as to dismiss them without discussion. Those magnates must have been angry, but what could they do with such a formidable enemy before them? Would they dare to cross Shennv Xuanhui?

According to reliable intelligence, the remnants of Organization X, including Xue Wang, were located in a large villa near the seaside, with the surrounding area much like the castle villa where Helen resided, complete with mountains and forests. This was likely Organization X’s standard for choosing strongholds.

To avoid collateral damage, the allied forces refrained from using heavy weaponry, opting instead for firearms loaded with wooden bullets, and scheduled the assault for daylight.

Coordinating such a massive assault naturally required a command center, and the person entrusted with command was a highly trusted figure among the alliance’s big shots, known as General Mike.

While Gu Fan desired command authority, he ultimately relinquished it, as he was not capable of leading an army of thousands. But Gu Fan’s nature meant he was certainly going to negotiate.

Thus, Gu Fan secured the freedom to make his own judgments during the battle, to act independently, and not to follow orders—at least, so long as it contributed to the eradication of Organization X, he could do as he pleased.

All troops and squads had already moved into their pre-determined positions according to the plan, waiting for dawn to launch the attack.

According to the weather forecast, the day of attack would be clear and sunny, an ideal situation to limit the vampires’ abilities, almost guaranteeing victory.

Now, with less than an hour until sunrise, the tension before the great battle was palpable; everyone’s breathing grew heavier, except for Gu Fan, who remained unconcerned about winning or losing.

Su Hui couldn’t help but retort, "I know you’re very capable and wouldn’t be affected by win or lose, but please consider me for a moment. I am not immortal."

To this, Gu Fan advised, "Sister Su, for your safety, and so I don’t have to worry, please stay at a safe distance to watch the battle."

"What do you mean!" Su Hui was displeased. Always competitive, she wouldn’t consider showing fear, and what she couldn’t accept was being looked down upon by someone she had once beaten to a pulp.

Su Hui directly twisted Gu Fan’s ear, warning him, "Even though you’re now immortal and invincible, remember you will always be defeated by me, and it was I who taught you your skills in the first place."

Gu Fan quickly conceded, "Absolutely right, Sister Su is more formidable than me, you truly are the invincible one."

Alright, enough of the banter. Su Hui returned to serious matters, relaying from her inquiries that this operation was significant, with even the leaders of the Hunter’s Guild present, seemingly called something like Hunt Heaven and Hunt Earth.

"What does it matter what they’re called? It’s all the same to me." Gu Fan had no interest, as the Hunter’s Guild was formidable enough not to warrant concern.

Suddenly, Gu Fan recalled something and immediately dialed Lin Yue’s mobile phone, asking where Lin Yue was now.

As expected, with such a large operation underway, the Hunters would be involved, and Lin Yue, of course, followed suit.

Gu Fan, out of concern, advised Lin Yue not to get involved directly but to provide backup support or aid the wounded. However, Lin Yue hung up the phone, disregarding Gu Fan’s suggestion.

"This..." Gu Fan started to worry. If anything were to happen to Lin Yue, he would feel deeply indebted to Lin Xi.

Gu Fan immediately had Su Hui inform them of the Hunter’s Guild’s location, and found that it was very far from their current position. The time to launch the attack was fast approaching, and there was no way they could make it to meet up with the Hunter’s Guild in time.

But Gu Fan still wanted to go, to meet up with Lin Yue as early as possible. His primary goal was to ensure the safety of certain individuals in the impending battle, and only after that to consider how to eradicate Organization X.

Su Hui of course wanted to go with him, feeling that it was better for the two of them to have each other’s support.

So, without asking for permission, Gu Fan and Su Hui left their unit and dashed through the forest, heading towards the location of the Hunter’s Guild.

The location chosen for Organization X’s secret base was excellent; it was surrounded by dense mountains and forests, with branches and leaves that blocked out the sun. Although it wasn’t as dark as the Dark Primitive Mountain, it could still provide a terrain that was somewhat advantageous against vampires during the day.

After observing the forest carefully, Gu Fan felt that even if vampires could defend themselves using the forest for a while, complete collapse was inevitable. This time, Xue Wang was likely to lose everything he had.

Su Hui was worried: "You think that with our large troop marching here, Xue Wang wouldn’t have noticed? Helen once said that her castle villa has secret tunnels, so wouldn’t the one where Xue Wang resides have them too?"

Gu Fan nodded: "That’s something I believe the commander has already considered. We’re only responsible for the assault; catching any fish that slip through the net isn’t our concern."

While on the move, Gu Fan’s phone rang. Upon checking, he was surprised to see that the call was from Helen, which immediately caused a sense of foreboding. Why would she call now, of all times, unless something bad was about to happen?

Gu Fan steadied himself and then answered the call.

A moment later, Su Hui saw Gu Fan’s serious expression and immediately became anxious.

After Gu Fan hung up the phone, Su Hui hurriedly asked: "What’s wrong, did something happen with Helen?"

Gu Fan replied: "Helen told me something. She received intelligence that all of Organization X’s outposts in the world are now deserted, and the whereabouts of all the vampires and regular members are unknown."

"What does that mean?" Su Hui vaguely guessed something and felt a chill in her heart.

Gu Fan looked in the direction of Xue Wang’s mansion and couldn’t help but sigh: "In the end, we still underestimated Xue Wang and Organization X. Now, I can only hope that our attack is met with emptiness, otherwise..."

Su Hui understood the implication. If Xue Wang was really here, then it was likely that the members of Organization X’s various outposts had secretly gathered in this place. In other words, this battle had been anticipated by Xue Wang, and preparations were already made.

Imagine thousands of people attacking, only to face an equal number of vampires counterattacking. The result would be one-sided slaughter.

"What do we do, should we notify the command center now and have them cancel the operation?" Su Hui offered what seemed to be the most cautious suggestion.

Gu Fan looked up at the brightening sky, checked his watch, and then shook his head: "It’s too late, the operation has already started. Let’s just hope things don’t take a turn for the worse."

At this point, all Su Hui could do was silently pray, hoping that everyone involved in the operation would come up empty and that Xue Wang had already moved out.
