"Hey there, big brothers and sisters, take a good look at me. I’m actually quite skinny and don’t have much flesh on me..." Before Gu Fan could finish his sentence, those mutated vampires pounced on him, desperately tearing and biting.

Gu Fan cried out, "Big brothers and sisters, please bite gently, ow, ow, ow."

After a short while, those mutated vampires started to convulse violently on the ground, showing extreme discomfort after biting Gu Fan. Their howling also became much raspier.

Gu Fan got up and looked at his shredded clothes, feeling quite indecent. If he had to go through this a few more times, he feared he would truly be in tatters.

"Where is everyone? They should be okay, right?" Gu Fan scanned the area and saw only sporadic resistance left.

Just as Gu Fan was worried about Li, someone frantically bumped into him. The impact sent the person tumbling to the ground.

"Ah... Ah..." The person sat on the ground, not daring to open their eyes, flailing their arms and legs in panic.

Gu Fan shouted, "Stop yelling, take a good look, it’s me!"

Hearing this, Li opened his eyes and was overjoyed to see Gu Fan, "My God, it’s really you, that’s great. I thought something had happened to you!"

"You could say I did." Gu Fan admitted candidly.

Li, disregarding the surrounding shrieks, was shocked by Gu Fan.

Now, weapons had no effect on these mutated vampires, and even Xue Lang and his subordinates had to run for their lives. Defeating a mutated vampire was out of the question; it was already good enough that everyone hadn’t been bitten and turned into mutated vampires.

Li counted six mutated vampires lying at Gu Fan’s feet and asked out of curiosity, "How did you manage to do that?"

"It’s simple. I let them bite," Gu Fan said with an air of nonchalance.

Li grimaced, "Boss, please stop joking around. With the situation as it is, I’m really not in the mood for your jokes."

"Alright, wipe that look off your face. Let’s get out of here," Gu Fan said as he strode forward, determined to head toward the entrance of Experiment Zone 2.

Li hurried to follow him. He now saw Gu Fan as his savior.

Just as Gu Fan and Li were about to escape, they turned a corner and saw about a dozen vampires struggling to hold down a mutated vampire, and it took all their strength to barely keep it in check.

When Gu Fan saw Xue Lang among the vampires, he quickly said, "Sorry to interrupt, carry on." With that, he turned to run.

Xue Lang was startled, then shouted, "Wait a minute, aren’t you Gu Fan?"

Hearing this, Gu Fan froze for a moment, then turned around with a smile, "Sorry, but I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else."

Xue Lang roared, "It’s impossible for me to be wrong, how come you’re here?"

Li’s eyes went wide with surprise, "Oh my god, just like I thought, you’re no ordinary person. But I never imagined you’re Gu Fan?"

Gu Fan showed an embarrassed expression, "I didn’t expect to bump into each other here, old friend."

"Pah, who’s your old friend? Hurry up and help," Xue Lang said so, suggesting they were not friends yet speaking with such righteous indignation that the other should help.

Gu Fan did want to help, but then he suddenly remembered something crucial, so he wasn’t in a hurry anymore, "I can help you, but you have to acknowledge me as the boss, and whatever I say goes."

"On what grounds?" The vampires expressed their dissent, especially Xue Lang, who scoffed at the idea.

"If you’re not willing, I’m not going to force you. We’ll each go our way, and I wish you luck." Having said that, Gu Fan turned to leave with an indifferent attitude.

Xue Lang thought it over, gritted his teeth secretly, though unwilling in his heart, he still called out, "Boss Gu Fan, please help out your little brother here, I’m working for Helen."

Gu Fan smiled faintly, not displaying any urgency. He dug at his ear with his finger, adopting a languid pose, "Even though you call me boss, even though you are Helen’s subordinate, I should look after you, even though I’m a soft-hearted person, even though I can lead you out of here alive, even though..."

"Alright, alright, stop jacking up the price. I know you have a way," Xue Lang had dealt with Gu Fan before. Seeing how Gu Fan’s clothes were torn and ragged yet he was unharmed, he guessed Gu Fan must have some means to survive in this place.

"Okay, okay, what can I do? Since you call me boss and because I’m just a soft-hearted person," Gu Fan said and walked over, stretching out his arm, "Take a good look, see how I deal with these mutant vampires."

Li was horrified and Xue Lang didn’t understand. Under everyone’s puzzled gaze, Gu Fan stretched his hand right into the mutant vampire’s mouth.

The mutant vampire wasn’t picky, it bit whatever it saw.

Soon, Gu Fan’s hand was retracted, and everyone saw that his hand had not a scratch on it, and they were all surprised once again.

Of course, Xue Lang knew about Gu Fan’s Vajra Body Protection, so he wasn’t surprised, but he didn’t understand why Gu Fan did that.

After a short while, the fiercely struggling mutant vampire started convulsing, its resistance gradually weakened, and finally, it fainted.
