Chapter 1428: Chapter 1428: There’s Always Someone Stronger

Xue Niu roared loudly, then burst forth with a savage charge against the boss.

"Alright, big guy, let’s see who is stronger," the boss, unwilling to show weakness, sprinted at high speed and charged as well.

Though the boss appeared less imposing in stature, his aura was no less intimidating, his steps alone could shake the earth.

The two masters collided head-on, the overwhelming force of the impact knocked the boss off his feet and caused Xue Niu to roll several times.

The boss quickly stood up, dusted off the dirt on him, and with a smile curling at his lips, appeared quite pleased, "I’m thinking, should I recruit some vampires as subordinates?"

"Go to hell, who do you think you are?" a Xue Clan member attacked from behind, landing a fierce punch on the boss’s head, causing him to see stars.

Xue Sha and Xue Jun joined the fight together; they had no intention of facing the boss one-on-one, and outnumbering their opponents was not something they considered shameful.

"Alright, come at me all at once," the boss said as he waved his fists and feet, blocking attacks from three directions.

"I don’t believe you can defeat all four of us by yourself," Xue Niu rallied and came back, joining the four Xue Clan members to gang up on the boss.

At first, the boss was able to hold them off, but as the four Xue Clan members’ attacks became more coordinated and relentless, the boss began to falter, taking hits left and right.

On the other hand, a hunter faced four Xue Clan members; his swordsmanship was sharp and fierce, cutting through the air around him, preventing the Xue Clan members from approaching easily and deterring them from taking a hit as that would be painful.

The four Xue Clan members circled the hunter at high speed, occasionally launching an attack to divert the hunter’s attention, creating opportunities for their comrades.

Xue Yun seized the moment, caught hold of the hunter’s precious sword, and shouted loudly, "What are you waiting for, finish him off!"

"Alright!" Xue Zhan was the first to rush forward, his claws out, attempting to tear the hunter apart.

"Get lost!" The hunter kicked Xue Zhan away with a flying kick, while his sword’s Qi burst forth, breaking Xue Yun’s arm and slashing a wound across Xue Yun’s body.

Xue Yun screamed in pain, quickly covered his wound, and swiftly backpedaled; normally, such a wound would heal quickly, but the blood kept flowing, requiring much effort to stop.

"Such terrifying sword Qi can suppress our healing abilities," Xue Wen and Xue Wu said, daring not to advance recklessly, continuing to circle the hunter at high speed.

The hunter targeted Xue Yun, swinging his sword continuously, dispersing his sword Qi, driving back Xue Zhan, Xue Wen, and Xue Wu, isolating Xue Yun.

"Be careful!" Xue Zhan warned as he saw the hunter moving towards Xue Yun.

Xue Yun, not daring to face the hunter head-on, turned and fled; his speed remained fast despite his injuries.

"No wonder they are Xue Clan, still so fast even when injured," the hunter couldn’t help but admire the Xue Clan’s abilities, but as he pursued, someone was also chasing him.

The hunter immediately turned around and struck with his sword, using sharp Jian Qi to force Xue Zhan, Xue Wen, and Xue Wu to a halt.

"I don’t believe it, let’s see how long your power can last," Xue Zhan declared, setting a strategy of evasion while Xue Wen and Xue Wu employed the same tactic, planning to gradually wear down the hunter’s power.

The hunter understood his predicament; he wasn’t the boss, he didn’t have eternal youth, and one more hit would be the end of him.

Xue Zhan, Xue Wen, and Xue Wu attempted to attack, forcing the hunter to wield his precious sword in defense. But every swing of his sword and each release of Jian Qi consumed his power, and prolonged battle would drain him to death.

Moments later, the hunter seemed to worry about consuming too much power, so his sword strikes began to hesitate, and the speed of his attacks slowed.

"Now’s the moment!" Xue Wen and Xue Wu saw the hunter’s opening and attacked simultaneously from left and right, grabbing the hunter’s arms and halting his movements.

"Well done!" Xue Zhan, excited to the point of madness, rushed forward and landed a heavy punch on the hunter, the force so great that it made the hunter spit blood, severely injured.

The hunter refused to give up, he kicked Xue Zhan, showing his determination to resist to the end.

"You still want to struggle?" Xue Zhan, enduring the kick, punched the hunter again. This time, the hunter was in so much pain he knelt on one knee and coughed up a large amount of blood.

"That’s right, a loser should lie on the ground." Xue Zhan, believing he held the winning ticket, prepared to deliver another punch to finish off the hunter.

However, at that moment, the hunter feigned weakness, his hand could no longer grip the sword, and it fell downwards as if he had lost all his strength.

Xue Zhan didn’t care, all his attention was on the hunter.

Suddenly, the sword on the ground, controlled by some force, flew out like an arrow and pierced through Xue Zhan’s body with such impact that it carried him away.

"Scram!" The hunter would not admit defeat; every pore of his body released Jian Qi.

"Damn, injured yet still so fierce." Xue Wen and Xue Wu felt overwhelmed and quickly let go of the hunter, creating a safe distance.

A sudden howl made Xue Wen and Xue Wu quickly dodge to the side, narrowly missing the sword, breaking out in a cold sweat.

"How are you?" Xue Wen glanced back at his comrade.

"Don’t worry, I won’t die, but..." Xue Zhan could barely stand up, yet the wound from being pierced by the sword was healing slowly, it seemed he would have to retreat from the battle like Xue Yun.

Despite kneeling with blood at his mouth and severe injuries, there wasn’t a hint of surrender in the hunter’s eyes, and his sword circled around him, obeying his command.

"As expected of the renowned hunter, impressive." Xue Wen said while pulling out a dagger, "You have a weapon, and so do we, let’s see how long you can hold out."

Xue Wu also drew a dagger, they could see the hunter was seriously injured and immobile, an easy target.

A dagger was thrown with immense force by Xue Wen, the speed and the whizzing sound were chilling.

The hunter wasn’t going to sit and wait for death; he controlled his sword to fly and chop down the dagger.

"Don’t rush, one is not enough, we have more." Xue Wen and Xue Wu sneered, and then they threw their weapons at the hunter, one dagger after another with unrivaled lethality flying toward him, their howling relentless.

Of course, the hunter knew the rivals were trying to exhaust his Qi, but now he had no choice but to fight with the last bit of his strength.
