Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared -
Chapter 1425 Are You Human?
Chapter 1425: Chapter 1425 Are You Human?
While Gu Fan was lost in thought, he suddenly heard a scream. He snapped back to reality and as he fixed his gaze, his face turned pale.
The team member, whose strength had dropped, was no match for the vampire at all. He was directly bitten on the throat and the vampire crazily drank his blood. The team member screamed incessantly, and judging by the extent of his desperate struggle, his strength had reduced to that of a normal human.
"What the hell, coming to provoke me," said the vampire disdainfully as he finished off the team member, casting a cold glance at Gu Fan and Li.
This scared Li out of his wits, "Wait a minute, vampire sir, this has nothing to do with us, we didn’t mean to offend you at all."
The vampire, initially wanting to lash out immediately, suddenly contorted his face in extreme pain, struggled to vomit the blood he had just consumed, and only then felt much better.
Gu Fan stood up casually, seemingly unconcerned, and even began to warm up, attracting the vampire’s attention.
"See, this is the consequence of defying your superiors," said the vampire. Just after he finished speaking, he saw a fist flying towards him. Caught off-guard, he was sent flying.
Gu Fan attacked without warning, not bothering with any courtesy or martial ethics.
Li watched, dumbstruck, "Oh my God, why are you so impulsive too?"
The vampire got up disheveled, his eyes fierce, "Fine, you all rebel, one by one seeking death."
Gu Fan didn’t respond but looked at his arms and fists, feeling the power of his punch, and slowly a satisfied expression appeared, "I knew it, this makes sense."
"Makes sense my ass," the vampire charged furiously again.
However, Gu Fan remained calm, judging the vampire’s charging direction and threw another punch.
The vampire, not willing to show weakness, met the punch head-on.
The two exchanged blows directly, a frontal power test devoid of any tricks, relying entirely on pure strength.
Li watched nervously, fearing Gu Fan might be defeated, but what happened next shocked him.
The vampire screamed, clutching his arm and stumbling back, while Gu Fan seemed unaffected, as spirited as ever.
"How is this possible, how?" The vampire couldn’t believe that his own strength and speed were inferior to the man before him, who now seemed like a monster in the vampire’s eyes.
"Didn’t expect to be this much stronger, I like it." Gu Fan ignored the vampire’s expression, still focusing on his arms and fists, closing his eyes to feel the flow of power within his body.
The vampire realized he had kicked an iron plate, his pride completely gone, dominated by fear, he turned to flee.
"Fleeing the battlefield is severely punished, and you said it yourselves, it’s only fitting to lead by example." Gu Fan chased after him, grabbed the vampire’s head, and smashed it directly onto the ground.
"Please, don’t kill me, don’t kill me," the vampire pleaded, truly desperate.
But Gu Fan showed no mercy, pulled out a wooden stake, and drove it into the vampire’s heart, silencing him forever.
"This..." Li widened his eyes, at a loss for words. If Organization X discovered that they had killed a vampire, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Gu Fan slowly stood up, showing a look of regret, "The enemy is strong. They killed the vampire right in front of us. If the vampire hadn’t bravely held off the enemy and let us escape, we would probably have been killed as well."
Having heard this, Li understood and immediately agreed, "It seems that’s exactly what happened."
Just to be safe, Gu Fan waited a while longer and, seeing no vampires return, figured that the ones who had left had all been killed. This meant that no one knew about Gu Fan and Li escaping during the fight.
For Li, this was also good news, but he realized he was understanding less and less about his companion.
"We should go. The fight has just begun." After saying this, Gu Fan started walking briskly forward.
Coming back to his senses, Li hurried after him, "Wait, don’t go so fast, wait for me."
"Time waits for no one. We now need to assume two scenarios," Gu Fan furrowed his brows and continued, "The first scenario is that Organization X loses again and the Four Great Nobles retreat, then we’ll need to figure out how to blend into the retreating troops. The second, Organization X defeats the Hunter’s Guild, and there will certainly be celebrations, we’ll need a way to blend into the crowd then."
Li understood, "Celebrate together if it’s a celebration, retreat together if it’s a retreat."
Gu Fan nodded, "Yes, this is to ensure we’re not suspected of deserting during the battle."
"That means we must be near the battlefield when Organization X clashes with the Hunter’s Guild, ready to react to the situation." Li understood Gu Fan’s intentions even more clearly now, no wonder Gu Fan was in such a hurry to travel.
Li remembered something and curiously asked, "Tai, what did you give that guy just now? How did he suddenly become so powerful that he could exchange blows with a vampire?"
"Do you like it? I can give you some, just in case." Gu Fan said and then pulled out a vial of blue liquid.
Li quickly took it, examining the vial closely before treasuring it like a gem.
Gu Fan kindly advised, "You should only use this when you are in danger. Remember not to use it unless absolutely necessary, and as you saw just now, this power boost doesn’t last long."
"Can you give me more?" Li looked eager but Gu Fan showed a troubled expression, "If I could produce more, I would, but it’s not possible."
The blue liquid was actually Gu Fan’s blood. He had brought it today for an experiment, wanting to see what effects it would have if a regular person consumed it.
The experiment had mixed results. The team member who drank the blue liquid briefly enhanced his strength enough to exchange blows with a vampire, but ultimately, he was still no match for a vampire. However, his blood proved to be very harmful to vampires.
Gu Fan thought if more people drank this blue liquid, and everyone’s blood could restrain vampires, then what would happen to the vampires? Would they slowly wither away?
After running for a while, Gu Fan saw a crow constantly circling above his head, obviously controlled by Lin Xi.
So, Gu Fan shouted at the crow, "Hey, help me check out the situation in the battle."
The crow immediately flew away, and Li was dumbfounded, "My goodness, Tai, can you communicate with birds too? Are you even human?"
