Chapter 1233: The Great Duel

Chapter 1233: Chapter 1233: The Great Duel

The deep rumbling sounds continued, and dust filled the air. The tallest building in the town was being destroyed, as if something was shaking from the top floor down to the very bottom, causing the nearby residents to look on in horror.

While everyone watched the building intently, another loud boom echoed as someone crashed through the wall and was hurled out.

"You can’t be this useless," Leng Le said, holding binoculars and starting to fear because the person thrown out was the mysterious masked man, their new boss.

With solemn steps, the big boss emerged from the building, his eyes filled with a murderous gleam, "Say, who exactly are you?"

The mysterious masked man seemed unconcerned, stood up, and even patted off the dust on him, "Impressive. Compared to your brother Zhuo Hang, you are indeed stronger."

"You fought with my little brother?" The big boss frowned, a bad premonition rising within him.

The mysterious masked man stated calmly, "Yes, he gave me quite a hard time, but ultimately he lost to me."

"I’m not like him, I am much stronger," said the big boss, and with that, he stepped forward and quickly closed the distance. He threw a punch directly at the masked man.

The masked man didn’t react in time and was once again blasted away, smashing through glass and flying into a supermarket.

The big boss immediately pursued, charging into the supermarket as well.

Noises of the fierce fight emanated from the supermarket, and although Leng Le adjusted her angle, she still couldn’t see the extent of the fight inside. She could only silently pray that the mysterious masked man would win.

However, contrary to her wishes, it was the masked man who was sent flying out again, crashing to the ground in an awkward heap.

The big boss walked out with large, confident strides, and without a word, delivered a fierce kick to the rising masked man, sending him flying once more.

It seemed that the masked man was no match for the big boss, which frightened Leng Le. If this new boss was defeated, then it would be her turn next as a traitor.

"Come on, get up," Leng Le desperately wanted the masked man to win. Fortunately, he did not disappoint and slowly got up, casually brushing off the dust, "Impressive, fighting your brother required ninety percent of my strength, but it seems I need to give it my all against you. There are very few who make me fights seriously."

"Is that so?" The big boss’s face darkened, and abruptly, he rushed forward with explosive speed.

Fast and strong, the big boss aimed a punch that sought to shatter the masked man’s face.

Suddenly, a faster fist raced towards the big boss, striking him in the face before he could react. The punch sent him flying, crashing into several cars along the way.

"You rascal!" The big boss finally came to a stop atop a bus, but the bus was completely wrecked.

As the big boss recovered and started to rise, he saw the masked man had already approached him, and instinctively, he threw a punch.

Almost simultaneously, both the big boss and the masked man landed punches on each other. The sheer force of the strikes sent both men reeling backward, each taking three steps back. Although evenly matched in strength, the big boss felt a throbbing pain where he had been hit, which hindered his performance.

"You’re not giving up yet, are you?" The masked figure, as if nothing had happened, threw another punch, much faster and stronger than before.

The big boss sensed trouble, but he had no room to retreat, so he forced his spirit and took the punch head-on.

As two fierce fists collided, a solid proof of confrontation took place, but it was not an even match as before, as the big boss’s arm was immediately broken.

"How is this possible?" The excruciating pain twisted the big boss’s face, and what shocked him even more was that the last punch from the masked figure was nearly twice as powerful as before; had this guy been hiding his true strength all along?

"Again!" The masked figure followed up with another punch that sent the big boss flying.

From a distance, Leng Le, holding a telescope, saw the masked figure gaining the upper hand and beating up the big boss, which made her very happy, seeming like her new master was the right choice.

The big boss quickly rose from the ruins; the fighting spirit in his eyes had not diminished despite being at a disadvantage. His shattered arm was also rapidly healing.

The masked figure crossed his arms and didn’t rush to attack, instead waiting for the big boss to recover.

"You’re giving me time to recover, so polite; aren’t you afraid you’ll regret this?" The big boss said with a mocking smile, seemingly still confident of victory.

The masked figure replied, "It doesn’t matter. It will be the same no matter how many times you try; I am stronger than you, you cannot beat me."

"I just like to shatter the confidence of people like you." With that said, the fully recovered big boss took a step forward, then pushed off the ground and leapt toward the masked figure with a kick.

The masked figure was not to be outdone and kicked out sharply in response.

Both men took a hit from the other then retreated three steps, still evenly matched.

The difference was that the masked figure seemed untroubled, while the big boss wore an expression of pain.

"Not deadly, but very painful; what follows will be even more so." Without needing a rest, the masked figure launched a powerful attack, channeling his Qi.

The big boss could only grit his teeth and persist, roaring furiously, punching away as they met head-on, exchanging punch for punch, landing solid hits on each other. However, the outcomes were different.

The masked man was unscathed, standing firmly in place, while the big boss was sent flying, sprinkling blood all along the way.

"Damn it, this guy’s strength has again nearly doubled, just like before." The big boss lay on the ground, unable to get up for a while, a deep fist mark dented into his body, nearly penetrating through.

Seeing this, Leng Le was horrified; she had followed the big boss for so many years and had never seen him beaten like this.

The masked figure, not eager to attack, stood with his arms behind his back, waiting for the big boss’s injuries to heal, waiting for him to stand and fight again.

"I know you’re not one to concede easily; how about I give you a few more chances?" There was a hint of disdain in the masked figure’s words, which annoyed the big boss greatly when he heard them.

His injuries healed, the punch marks vanished, and the big boss stood up again, staring coldly at the masked figure.
