Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 1143: Old Rivals

Chapter 1143: Chapter 1143: Old Rivals

Now Qiao Ya and Dong Ni, leading the people of Organization X, were vigorously pursuing Su Hui, Hunter Group Two. Both sides were using the forest as cover, constantly shifting positions and engaging in a relentless firefight, with bullets flying chaotically and the battle raging fiercely.

The members of Hunter Group Two were retreating to the coastal assembly point while firing their guns. Their numbers were limited, and they had no intention of directly confronting Organization X head-on; instead, they were pinning their hopes on being timely supported by their companions.

Gu Chuanshan, holding Mei Fang’s hand, both were getting on in years and found it difficult to keep up the pace. However, the whistling bullets passing by their ears spurred on their will to live, pushing them to persevere.

Su Hui was fast, but that was only when she was on her own. If she had to care for Gu Chuanshan and Mei Fang, their speed would decrease. Although they could still shake off their enemies, there was a risk of being caught up with and struggling to fight back after exhausting their energy.

Moreover, Su Hui had also considered that to successfully flee with Gu Chuanshan and Mei Fang, she must utilize the strength of Hunter Group Two; therefore, she couldn’t just abandon these temporary teammates and escape alone.

With a scream, a member of Hunter Group Two was shot and fell to the ground. Su Hui took this opportunity to pick up his gun and, demonstrating her masterful shooting skills, fired continuously, taking down those at the forefront of Organization X one after another.

"Well done!" A member of another hunter group, witnessing Su Hui’s marksmanship, couldn’t help but praise her, and then he was hit in the arm by a bullet.

Regrettably, it wasn’t only Su Hui who was a good shot, Qiao Ya was skilled as well.

Su Hui, taking cover behind a huge rock, had just poked her head out when she nearly got hit by a bullet, her face turning pale.

A member of the hunter group, clutching his wound, came over to Su Hui and whispered, "We must get to the sea quickly; our ship will rendezvous with us there, and then we can leave this place."

"I know, but we have to break away first," Su Hui said as she saw the people from Organization X closing in and she didn’t hesitate to greet them with bullets.

In the dark forest, apart from good shooting, one needed sharp vision and the ability to stay cool under pressure. Fire a shot and you reveal your position, which would invite intense enemy firepower.

Essentially, Su Hui would fire a shot and then move to another spot, steadily retreating while fighting. However, the members of Organization X were relentless in their pursuit.

Three members of Hunter Group Two had already been wounded and needed the support of their companions to move, which further reduced their speed.

"Beauty, we need more time!" The group leader’s face was stern, and he was breathing heavily.

Su Hui frowned, "We’ll retreat first and once we find favorable terrain, we’ll launch a counterattack,"

Meanwhile, Xue Lang and the masked female vampire were standing in a tree, looking down upon the battle below. Their night vision was exceptional, allowing them to clearly see Su Hui’s movements.

Xue Lang said, "What do you think, should we intervene now? We can capture Gu Fan’s parents and take out Su Hui in passing."

The masked female vampire shook her head, "No need, let them fight a bit longer. It would be best if Su Hui gets injured, then she’ll be even less of a challenge for us to deal with. Besides, with gunfire this loud, I don’t believe Gu Fan can’t hear it."

"So that’s your plan, to wait for Gu Fan to arrive," Xue Lang said with a nasty smile. "When Gu Fan arrives and sees Su Hui dying by our hands and his parents taken hostage by us, his expression will be one blend of hatred and fear."

"Of course, that’s the price he must pay," the masked female vampire spoke coldly and without compassion.

Xue Lang raised an objection, "But in my opinion, it’s not absolutely necessary to kill Su Hui. Having an additional hostage could make Gu Fan more apprehensive."

"Su Hui must die, there’s nothing to discuss," the masked female vampire said in a tone that brooked no argument, and Xue Lang, unsurprised, just sighed, "You really hold a grudge."

A moment later, Su Hui and the second hunter group arrived at a small river. They were clear in their minds that this was the advantageous terrain they had been looking for, but the precondition was that they must cross the river before the enemy caught up with them.

After some thought, the group leader left three people to cover the rear to delay Organization X’s pace as much as possible, while the rest quickly crossed the river.

With time pressing, Su Hui didn’t hesitate, directly grabbing Gu Fan’s parents by the arm and then forcefully leading them across the river, which luckily wasn’t deep.

The second hunter group also supported their injured comrades, exerting all their strength to cross the river, but they couldn’t match Su Hui’s speed.

Once Su Hui and the hunter group had crossed the small river, they immediately found advantageous terrain on the opposite bank, concealed themselves, and set up their position.

Looking at the dark forest across the small river, listening to the sound of gunfire and wails, everyone’s hearts pounded fiercely.

The three hunters responsible for covering the rear couldn’t make it out; all were taken down. However, they fulfilled their task, finally buying time for their comrades.

When Qiao Ya and Dong Ni led Organization X’s men in pursuit to this point and saw a small river obstructing their path, Qiao Ya’s first thought was to retreat back into the woods, but it was already too late.

Su Hui opened fire from across the river, taking down two of Organization X’s men and scaring the others back into the woods.

The situation had turned. Now, Qiao Ya had to lead their men forward, needing to cross the small river, but without cover, they were just live targets for Su Hui. They didn’t know how many would fall to her gunfire.

At that moment, seeing that Organization X’s men dared not advance, Su Hui immediately said to the hunter group, "Leave a few here, the rest of you hurry and retreat towards the seaside."

"Okay, I’ll leave three people to help you." The group leader left three people to assist Su Hui, and the rest—the ones that could walk did so on their own, and those who couldn’t supported each other.

In this critical moment, united against a common crisis, Gu Chuanshan and Mei Fang also helped support the injured, and the group leader supported two at a time. Although their progress was slow, none of them gave up.

Similarly, Qiao Ya and Dong Ni knew they couldn’t go on like this, they couldn’t give them the chance to retreat. So, they once again organized their men to forcefully cross the river, and without exception, they all fell to Su Hui’s gunfire.

"Qiao Ya, and Dong Ni, you know what I’m capable of, Su Hui. I advise you not to mess around, otherwise don’t blame me for not being polite," Su Hui warned, also imposing psychological pressure on Qiao Ya and Dong Ni.

After hearing this, Dong Ni was somewhat discouraged, "What do we do? We can’t attack them, and eventually, they’re going to escape."

"What’s the rush? Don’t forget, we’re not the only ones here to chase them down." After saying that, Qiao Ya let out a cold laugh, then replied, "Su Hui, I admire that you’ve managed to hold out this long, but I’m sorry, this place is our territory, you’re not going to escape."

"Triangle Sea Area, Pirate Island, you’ve said this before, haven’t you? But what was the result?" Su Hui brought up the past, evoking unpleasant memories for Qiao Ya.
