It was late at night when Su Hui received a call from her superiors, informing her of an urgent mission and instructing her to immediately head to the scene.

Without a word, Su Hui immediately got out of bed, got dressed, and hurried downstairs, just in time to see Gu Fan, who had woken up in the middle of the night and was rummaging through the fridge because of his hunger.

With a frown, Su Hui asked, "Is there anything left here?"

"All data has been wiped clean, most personnel have sacrificed their lives, only I, Liu Hui, Shi Hao, Yan Bing, and Hu Hu are left," Zhuo Hang said with a look of dejection.

Su Hui grew curious, "Who could have done this? Could it be the boss?"

Zhuo Hang let out a wry smile: "It wasn’t him. It was a mysterious and incredibly powerful person wearing a mask. Even the hunters and I together couldn’t defeat him."

"What, you and the hunters teamed up and still lost?" Su Hui’s eyes widened in disbelief. Zhuo Hang and the hunters were so formidable; united, they were considered invincible. How could they lose to someone in a mask?

"Wait a minute, someone wearing a mask..." Su Hui’s expression changed, startled, as she recalled the mysterious masked person she had met in ancient times.

Noticing the change in Su Hui’s expression, Zhuo Hang asked, "Do you know this person with the mask?"

With a furrowed brow, Su Hui replied, "I don’t know if it’s him, but when I was in ancient times, I encountered a guy wearing a mask who was extremely powerful; over a dozen vampires joined forces but could do nothing to him. Moreover, according to Lin Xi, this mysterious masked person seems to have used the space-time door to travel to ancient times from a future even more distant than ours."

Based on Zhuo Hang’s description, this person who attacked the warehouse base and wore a mask also possessed immortality and was impervious to harm from weapons; his stature and other attributes closely matched the mysterious masked person Su Hui had encountered.

From this, Su Hui could surmise that it was most likely this individual. However, she did not understand why he had come to the era of Gu Fan and Su Hui.
