Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 106: Everyone Has Their Own Moves

Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Everyone Has Their Own Moves

Jie bravely suggested, "Perhaps, I should charge ahead and divert the wolf pack, then you guys quickly rescue Du Jun and Xu Haowen, and later come to rescue me."

Upon hearing this, Gu Fan immediately opposed, "Don’t act recklessly. If the wolf pack catches up with you, we might not be able to save you."

"So what should we do? If we don’t find a solution soon, it will really be too late." Professor Luo was anxious. He was responsible for the safety of everyone’s lives, especially since Xu Haowen was his student.

Su Hui picked up her mobile phone and sent a voice message, "Listen up everyone, the only solution at the moment is to see if we can collectively intimidate the wolf pack away with our presence. Remember, follow my command on the count of three, we’ll all rush out together, hollering and shouting in unison to rescue them. Remember that we must display an intimidating presence."

"Okay, I understand. We’ll take a gamble." Gu Fan felt that there was no better solution under such pressing circumstances. They had no choice but to risk it.

"Okay, everyone get ready, one!" When Su Hui shouted the first count, everyone tensed up. On the second count, they took a deep breath, gripping tightly onto the weapons they had at hand.

"Three, charge!" Su Hui hollered, quickly unzipping the tent and making a swift charge outside.

The rest including Gu Fan, Lu Yi, Professor Luo, Teacher Liu, Jie, and Ouyang Jin also made a dash out from their respective tents, shouting loudly alongside each other as they dashed forwards. The momentum they displayed was undeniably intimidating.

The group of wolves surrounding Du Jun and Xu Haowen’s tent hesitated once they saw several people charging towards them. They quickly dispersed and fled.

As everyone emerged from their shelters, it attracted other wolves. Three other wolves attempted to flank them but were met with Jie’s baseball bat and Ouyang Jin’s spade.

Although pushed back, the wolves did not give up, but their attempts to attack were met with the fierce swings of the spade and the baseball bat, deterring them from approaching too close.

Professor Luo and Teacher Liu were in charge of rescuing, but the previous four wolves that had retreated seemed reluctant to leave and still kept a close watch, cautiously edging closer.

"Teachers, please hurry up." Gu Fan suddenly felt that his knife wasn’t enough. Lu Yi’s shield seemed more intimidating and even Su Hui, holding a baton and bravely standing at the forefront, was full of momentum.

Gu Fan suddenly remembered something, "Strange, where are Lin Xi and Qin Jia?"

On the other side, Lin Xi and Qin Jia were in trouble because they had been too slow and hadn’t caught up. Just as Lin Xi managed to crawl out of the tent, she saw a wolf charging towards them and quickly retreated back into her tent.

Lin Xi attempted to zip up the entrance, but by this time, the wolf had already forced its snout inside, madly tearing at the fabric. Terrified, Lin Xi quickly stepped back, helpless against the wolf as it continued to tear apart the entrance to the tent.

In their desperation, Lin Xi and Qin Jia flailed wildly with their pillows, but this soft, harmless attack did not deter the wolf. As the entrance became wider, the wolf began to crawl in.

At that instant, Lin Xi felt a bottle. She quickly took it and sprayed its contents at the wolf, which immediately let out a painful howl.

"It worked! That’s great!" Lin Xi exclaimed, relieved. But a single spray wasn’t enough to fully deter the wolf. It regained its senses before starting to struggle aggressively again, managing to widen the entrance further before managing to force half of its body in.

In a critical moment, Lin Xi and Qin Jia each grabbed two bottles of the wolf repellent spray and sprayed the wolf all at once. The pungent mist was too much for the wolf. It howled in anguish and fled in a clumsy manner.

"Hooray! We successfully drove away a wolf. We’re so brave." Lin Xi and Qin Jia were overjoyed, viewing this as a major victory. However, before they could start celebrating, another wolf was charging at them.

Just as the wolf’s head was about to enter Lin Xi’s tent, Gu Fan rushed over. Without any hesitation, he tackled the wolf down, plunging his dagger into the creature’s body.

The intense pain caused the wolf to howl and struggle before escaping. However, it did not go far and glared back at Gu Fan with a menacing look.

"That was close. Are you guys alright?" Gu Fan asked, looking back at them. At this moment, he heard Lin Xi’s proud response, "No problem. Even if you didn’t come, we could have handled it ourselves, because we have this." Lin Xi triumphantly shook the wolf repellent spray in her hand.

"That really is wolf repellent, huh." Gu Fan couldn’t help but sigh. The wolf that he had just injured had now brought its companions over. Gu Fan knew they were in trouble.

"Don’t worry. We’ll help you!" Lin Xi and Qin Jia crawled out of their tent, eager to face the coming danger. They gave off a heroic aura, which left Gu Fan speechless. He quickly said, "Don’t show off. Stay behind me."

"Don’t worry. This time, I’ll protect you." After saying this, Lin Xi really did step in front of Gu Fan. It seemed she really wasn’t joking.

Several wolves growled, showing their teeth as they cautiously closed in, then charged from different directions.

However, Lin Xi and Qin Jia once again employed four wolf repellent sprays, and soon a large amount of gas filled the surroundings. Not only did it irritate their eyes, but the smell also stung their noses. Given that wolves have a keen sense of smell, one can only imagine the effects on them.

Several wolves that had just charged forward still had their frenzied momentum, but the moment they contacted the cloud of gas, they started yelping and scampered off, utterly unable to bear the odor. Once more, Lin Xi and Qin Jia emerged victorious, causing Gu Fan to feel the purchase had been worth it.

Everybody else was also faring well. When a wolf dodged Ouyang Jin’s shovel and tried to pounce on him, it was whacked away by a stick from Jie, causing it to yelp in pain.

When several other wolves tried to pounce on Jie, a swing of Ouyang Jin’s shovel drove them back. Even though it was their first time working together, they had a pretty good synergy.

At that moment, with the group’s help, Du Jun and Xu Haowen crawled out from the tent, joining the fray. However, Du Jun was unarmed — he couldn’t possibly fight wolves barehanded.

"Catch this!" Ouyang Jin tossed an electric stick to Du Jun, instantly making him feel safer now that he had a weapon.

However, as Du Jun caught the electric stick, he was so caught up in his joy that he didn’t notice a wolf charging towards him from the side. By the time he noticed, he was overcome with fear, hastily brandishing the electric stick in defense.

The wolf knocked down Du Jun, but was also hit by the electric stick. Du Jun and the wolf were both convulsing from the shock, making for a somewhat comical scene.

Professor Luo, Teacher Liu, and Xu Haowen quickly stepped in. They kicked the wolf away and pulled Du Jun back, just as a wolf’s howl echoed from behind them.

It turned out that Su Hui had knocked out the teeth of a wolf that was pouncing forward with a single strike, leaving its mouth full of blood. She was the only person in the group who could take a wolf down so brutally with just her physical strength.

Holding up his shield, Lu Yi protected Su Hui’s flanks and rear. A wolf that attempted to pounce several times was repelled by his shield.

Soon, everyone was slowly coming together, forming a circle. They looked ready to fight to the end, with the pack of wolves circling around them, seeking an opening.

"Come on, you beasts. Look how grandpa’s gonna knock your teeth out." Lu Yi gripped his baseball bat tightly, trying to look fierce. In reality, he was as nervous as everyone else.

Du Jun held the taser, oscillating between different wolves, remembering the convulsing feeling from the shock and feeling a bit scared.

"Stay away! You’ll regret it if you come any closer. Don’t believe it? Ask your pack what happened to them just now." Lin Xi held the wolf repellent spray in a fearless manner, though she stuck close to Gu Fan.

Swirling her baton dexterously, Su Hui cut a formidable figure. Her piercing gaze was intimidating, but suddenly the baton slipped out of her hands and fell to the ground. The mishap made her quite embarrassed as she quickly picked it up.

Lu Yi quickly urged with a bitter face: "Sister Su, please don’t make any mistakes. You are the top fighter on our side."

"Sorry, I just made a minor mistake." Su Hui said as she continued watching the movement of the wolf pack, noticing that the wolves were merely surrounding them without making any further moves.

After a while, perhaps realizing the futility of their situation facing a large number of humans and unable to single anyone out, the lead wolf let out a cry, and all the wolves slowly retreated step by step.

Once they put enough distance between them and the humans, the wolves took to their heels and ran, which came as a great relief to everyone.

However, Gu Fan remained worried and had Jie use a drone to scout the area. Confirming there were no more wolves in the vicinity, everyone looked at each other, their faces filled with disbelief at what they had just gone through. The tense atmosphere finally...

"Oh my god, tonight was too thrilling. We just fought off a pack of wolves by working together." Unable to hold back any longer, Lu Yi let out a cheer, and everyone else shared the same sentiment.

They all couldn’t resist reflecting on what they had just gone through, especially Du Jun and Xu Haowen who considered themselves lucky as they nearly became wolf food, if not for their daring rescue.

After the danger had passed, Lin Xi, now more relaxed, suddenly felt that this victory was a great one. It had proven that she was not a decoration. She was, after all, very brave.

"Who would have thought I would have a chance to be part of such a thrilling battle at my age, haha." Could not help but laugh, Professor Luo, followed by everyone else. The feeling of having a narrow escape from death was definitely worth celebrating.

With the assist from the drone, Ouyang Jin took stock of their situation and happily discovered that they hadn’t lost a single camel. Furthermore, Du Jun had bought his electric stick at a high price. So, not only had they escaped danger unscathed, they actually made a profit as well.

What was to be done now? With the possibility of the wolf pack making a comeback, who would dare sleep? For this, Ouyang Jin seemed to have a plan. After all, he was the guide and had contemplated the course of action should such a situation arise. How else could he justify his high fees?
