Chapter 111: Chapter 100 Edison_2

But Lucien didn’t know that this was just the beginning.

Perhaps due to being in a state of "malnutrition" for so long, Edison’s body had been in a "low-energy consumption" dormant state, so after feasting for the past few days, Edison’s bodily functions slowly began to recover. However, at the same time, his appetite multiplied by the day.

At first, Lucien tried his best to satisfy him with ordinary food, but as time went on and Edison’s body steadily revived, Lucien found that Edison had almost no interest in these normal foods. What would fill a normal person seemed like mere "snacks" to him, and simply didn’t stave off the hunger.

Thus, by now, Edison’s staple diet had been changed to high-energy physical potions. But even with these high-energy potions, Edison needed to consume two to three vials per meal. If converted to the dietary standards of an ordinary person, then Edison’s meal was roughly the amount an average person would eat in about a month and a half.

And most crucially, Edison’s physique was still on the thinner side compared to a normal person. According to Lucien’s estimate, this appetite wasn’t yet Edison’s limit. As his body continued to recover, his appetite was expected to increase significantly.

Edison’s terrifying appetite sometimes made Lucien doubt whether his initial promise to let him eat to his heart’s content was a wise decision. After all, with this rate of consumption, Lucien felt he would soon be brought to ruin by this big eater.

Gurgle, gurgle...

Edison, unaware of Lucien’s thoughts, quickly popped the stoppers off three test tubes, then opened his mouth wide and poured them down his throat in one go.

He then skillfully turned the test tubes upside down, opening his mouth to catch the last few drops dribbling out, smacking his lips afterward with an indescribable look of satisfaction on his face.

Watching Edison’s extremely satisfied expression, Lucien nearly got hungry himself.

"Lord Lucien, do I need to assist with experiments this morning?" After eating his fill, Edison seemed much more lively, no longer looking dazed but rather brimming with energy. With his still somewhat slender figure, he looked like an enthusiastic young man.

"No, today is not for experiments. It’s for assisting me with an alchemy work on a witch tool," Lucien said, glancing at Edison before adding, "However, it might require collecting some of your blood as one of the alchemy materials."

"Oh, no big deal. By the way, Lord Lucien, will there be an extra meal after collecting the blood?" Edison asked as he rubbed his stomach, clearly more concerned about the "sickbay meal" that would follow the blood collection than the procedure itself.

Lucien’s mouth twitched slightly as he looked into Edison’s clear eyes, now somewhat understanding the true cost of "room and board."

"Yes," Lucien admitted reluctantly, then added in response to Edison’s hopeful look, "A full meal."

"Hooray!" Edison cheered.

In his excitement, he leaped into the air and suddenly transformed into the muscular, imposing figure of a grown man, landing with such force that the ground dented and even caused a slight tremor in the nearby area.

"Cough, cough, cough..." Lucien was caught off guard by the dust kicked up by Edison’s stomp, ending up somewhat dusty and disheveled.

But when he saw Edison trying to help dust him off with his palm as large as a fan, Lucien’s face turned slightly green. He quickly cast an acceleration spell on himself, narrowly avoiding the slap that Edison had just aimed at him.

"Sorry, Lord Lucien, I got a bit too excited..." Edison’s voice was somewhat muffled and echoed as if it were bouncing within his chest cavity.

...

"Crystal Stone, Edison’s special blood, Mole Beast leather..." Lucien carefully checked each alchemical material on the table, treating them all with extra gentleness.

Today was the day he would try to craft the witch tool "Wizard’s Notes."

However, even though it was an attempt, Lucien didn’t dare to be careless. After all, materials like the Crystal Stone or the hide of the Mole Beast were in such short supply that he had just enough to make one batch. If the process failed, he would not be able to find a second batch on the floating island.

"Edison, the Red Copper Stone hammering work is up to you. Look, gently hammer it into powder. When it becomes usable, the powder from the Red Copper Stone will be black..."

Lucien looked at Edison beside him, who was delightfully consuming a physical potion, and handed him a hammer. Meanwhile, he himself started to prepare some auxiliary potions and materials that would be needed later for the alchemy process.

"Leave it to me, Lord Lucien!" Edison took the metal hammer that Lucien had passed to him, weighed it slightly in his hand, and then easily swung the long-handled iron hammer that seemed somewhat too bulky for his frame.

Bang——

Sparks burst out as the iron hammer collided with the Red Copper Stone.

Bang bang bang...

Edison swung the hammer, quickly finding the feel for it, and started a series of continuous strikes. His frightening physical power began to increase gradually with each swing, each blow heavier than the last.

Crack——

Soon, with a slight fracturing sound, a tiny crack appeared on the exceptionally hard Red Copper Stone. Afterward, the crack widened with more strikes until the whole block turned into a pile of rubble...

However, Edison soon felt unsatisfied with the "weakness" of the hammer. After a roar, his body began to swell, and the new shirt he had just changed into burst at the seams due to his bulging muscles, revealing the brutish and knotted body underneath.

Afterward, Edison simply tossed the hammer aside and started pounding the Red Copper Stone with his bare fists, each punch stronger and faster than the last...

"Ora ora ora..." As Lucien watched Edison’s movements, a sequence of sounds, as if hallucinations, rang in his ears.

It wasn’t until he smelled something burning that he snapped back to reality and awkwardly tossed the waste he had been mixing into the trash bin beside him.

"Such terrifying physical strength, truly worthy of the Barbarian Giant known for its formidable prowess. Although he hasn’t inherited their monstrous physique, in terms of the explosiveness of physical power, he is in no way inferior."

Lucien looked at the hammer on the ground that Edison had abandoned, a hint of amazement in his eyes. A new idea started to form in his mind that once Edison learned some basic knowledge and could skillfully understand the common language of wizards, perhaps he could teach him the Body Refinement Wizard’s practice methods.

With his unique innate advantages, just how far this youth, who had awakened the Barbarian Giant War Spirit Talent, could go on the path of the Body Refinement Wizard was something even Lucien had difficulty gauging accurately.

"Lord Lucien, I’ve finished." While Lucien was pondering, Edison’s somewhat breathless voice came, and then he handed over a small pile of powder that was still faintly emitting heat.

Looking at the luster of the powders, they seemed even finer than those that had been pounded out with a hammer for a long time, and their effect also seemed to be better.

"Well done." Lucien nodded slightly and, under Edison’s expectant gaze, took out another physical potion.

"Heh heh... Lord Lucien, need me to process a few more pieces for you?"

"No need, there’s no more work that requires your help for now. Go find Gagarin and let him continue teaching you the common language of wizards. I’ve already spoken to him about it. Also, if you fall asleep in class again, the amount of potion you get for dinner will be halved..."
