Chapter 523: Chapter 523 Explosion

Chen Ke picked up the grenade launcher, pried open the magazine on top, and removed the grenades inside. Quickly, the magazine filled with blood. The red liquid solidified into the shape of grenades, looking sticky and viscous.

"I need to reinstall my monitor. Where is that guy now?"

Li Moyang’s mechanical arm extended a revolver machine gun, aiming at an empty ground, while his other mechanical arm was fumbling with his own head that was ripped out.

Bader’s claws were slowly regenerating. No matter what method Li Moyang had just used to sever his arm, it seemed to be of no use. Bader had become an indestructible monster. Only their Divine Blood Bullet could be effective.

Chen Ke raised the grenade launcher and fired. The blood-red grenade popped out of the barrel with a "plop," arcing towards Bader.

"Explode! Explode! Explode!" Chen Ke chanted silently.

Bader’s right arm solidified into its normal shape and swatted the grenade into a pile of cars on the side. There was a muffled explosion as the grenade burst under the chassis of a car, lifting it two meters off the ground and painting the ground with a splash of blood.

Chen Ke hadn’t expected his blood grenade to explode like that.

"Did it hit him? Hm...no, it missed." Li Moyang finally twisted his head back into place. It seemed that this big metal brute wasn’t so easy to break.

"It’s not a flesh target. It won’t just stand there and let me shoot. Can you control it?" Chen Ke asked.

"Wait...it’s coming!"

Li Moyang’s left arm machine gun started to rotate, unleashing endless firepower. But Bader’s muscles hardly flinched at these ordinary bullets. Even as his flesh was torn apart, he braced against the powerful impacts with his pectoral muscles and charged towards Li Moyang.

Chen Ke, standing slightly farther from Li Moyang, prepared the second grenade and fired again at Bader.

The grenade arced swiftly towards Bader. In that instant, Li Moyang’s machine gun suddenly jammed. Bader sharply turned around, transforming his right arm into numerous tendrils that slapped the grenade onto the wall where it exploded. Then, sweeping forward, he aimed towards Chen Ke.

Chen Ke’s eyes widened as An Helei’s Requiem instantly enveloped him. The next second, his legs were tightly bound, and he spun wildly in the air for a few seconds before he slammed heavily onto the ground, his shoulders and ribs cracking.

Soon after, he felt himself skidding rapidly across the ground. Bader grabbed his legs and in a flash, Chen Ke was face-to-face with him, Bader’s clawed right arm gripping Chen Ke’s chest plate tightly.

"Once I dismantle your shell, I’ll relish the bits inside your belly," Bader said, his blood-red eyes fixed on Chen Ke as several black, maggot-like tongues spilled out of his dark mouth.

Then, he felt a heavy punch on his back, and Bader, letting go, threw him outside the wall.

Chen Ke spat out a mouthful of blood and climbed up from the dirt. Inside the wall, a series of terrifying thuds sounded. Then, he saw a metallic figure shatter through a quarter of the wall’s height, flying out from another direction and crashing into the mud, carving out a six-meter long trench.

Bader leaped out, landing on the metallic figure and grabbing its left arm. The left arm of the metallic figure extended a nozzle just as a dark golden flame emerged, but Bader immediately ripped off the arm. Metal joints and cables crackled and spat sparks as Bader yanked it away, leaving a sparkling, armless gap.

"Chen Ke? Are you still alive?" Li Moyang called out.

"Why the hell didn’t you shoot just now?" Chen Ke rose from the ground.

"First, can you help me get this thing off me?" Li Moyang said.

Chen Ke considered for a second. Should he use the Black Gun here? Considering its destructive power, Chen Ke didn’t know how far the energy beam would travel or how many people it might inadvertently kill.

Furthermore, with Bader’s speed, if he dodged his attack like the other Chen Ke had, it would have been a bit pointless.

He sighed, it wasn’t time to use that thing yet. Chen Ke charged at Bader with a burst of Spiritual Energy, sending him flying, and then readied the grenade launcher.

Iron Man got up from the ground, his movements already somewhat uncoordinated.

"Chen Ke, I’ve got 30 seconds left, and I’m out of bullets. You better have a way to kill it now, or we’ll be on the news tomorrow morning," Li Moyang said.

"I have a plan, charge at him and trap him, so I can shoot him a few times," Chen Ke said.

"Do you have any grenades left? I remember there was only one in there," Li Moyang said.

"I have a way, just charge at him and hold on to him," Chen Ke said.

"The last 20 seconds, seize them!" Li Moyang said. Iron Man’s feet emitted flames, and he blasted out, his right arm swinging an iron fist toward Bader.

Bader grabbed Iron Man’s head and slammed it into the ground, then yanked it down, Chen Ke could hear Li Moyang groan inside, even though he was inside an iron shell, but that impact was not trivial.

Li Moyang struggled to control Iron Man’s only arm, tightly grabbing Bader’s neck. Bader gripped the gaps in Iron Man’s chest plate, desperately tearing it apart, producing a heart-wrenching metallic screeching sound.

"Chen Ke! Chen Ke! 12 seconds left!" Li Moyang sounded anxious.

The time bomb exploded silently, freezing the time around Li Moyang and Iron Man. Iron Man, like an eternal rack, trapped Bader there.

"Go to hell you son of a bitch," Chen Ke cursed.

He kept firing grenades, hitting Bader’s pectorals and abdominals, punching fist-sized holes in his body.

Since the grenades entered the paused time area, they didn’t explode immediately, but Bader surpassed time, allowing him to be shot through.

Chen Ke fired eight rounds before the time pause effect was lifted, and then, Bader’s black muscular body burst open from the inside, mixing purple and red blood splattered on the grass, his body was blown in half, the upper body lying on the grass, only the lower half still standing.

Chen Ke immediately rushed to Bader’s side. He saw that the mutilated Bader wasn’t completely dead yet, but his body wasn’t healing itself.

"Bader... tell me, where is Diana?" Chen Ke grabbed Bader’s mutated head, staring into his blood-red eyes and demanded.

"Deep Anchor... Krant Street 45... I’ll be waiting for you there..." Bader said.

"Next time I will definitely kill you," Chen Ke said.

"I’ll be waiting..." Bader shook his head, his body slowly turning into white ash, eventually disappearing into thin air.

Li Moyang climbed out of Iron Man, his face bruised, his lips also cracked, his fine hairstyle somewhat messy, but he still gracefully straightened his tie and suit collar.

"What... what was it? Where’s the body?" Li Moyang looked around.

"That thing isn’t here, it never was... so I couldn’t see it... I understand now," Chen Ke stood up and looked at Li Moyang.

"You better help me clean up before County Police are attracted here by the noise of the fight. We still have a lot more to do," Li Moyang said.
