Chapter 479 Lucina’s Fury
Chapter 479: Chapter 479 Lucina’s Fury
Was this iron chain also part of the illusion?
Just now, when the other agents entered, they walked directly through the door, combined with what the previous agent had mentioned about the Imaginary Cage...
Lucina suddenly understood something, nothing in this rotten place was real! Everything was just an illusion concocted by the Imaginary Cage.
Although she wasn’t a Spiritual Ability User, Lucina had smuggled Holy Relics across the sea with Hainerd and knew something about the mutated items controlled by the Administration Bureau.
The chance to escape was every time the torture ended, in that moment when the illusion disappeared and reappeared...
"Finish her quickly, Chairman Clayvin doesn’t want to wait too long."
After the agents finished talking, two of them walked out the door, leaving only one person behind in the factory.
The agent paced over to Lucina, looked at the sweat-covered Lucina, and picked up a vertical saw from the table. The tools on this table could change at the agent’s will.
"Miss Lucina, it looks like you’re well-rested. Let’s continue," the agent said.
"I can hardly wait. What new tricks are up your sleeve this time?" Lucina smiled.
"You’ll see," the agent replied.
In the factory, the sounds of Lucina’s moans and the saw cutting through muscle fibers filled the air... When everything had ended, a Blood Pool had formed at Lucina’s feet.
She endured the pain, gasping heavily for air. Her arms were readying themselves in case the agent decided to wash his hands with the water from the green bucket again—it would be perfect since that water was the signal for the illusion to reset.
"Aren’t you going to wash your hands...?" Lucina asked weakly.
"Do you really care that your blood is on my hands?" the agent countered.
"Since these wounds and blood are illusions, why bother washing them?" Lucina countered.
"If we continue answering questions with questions, it’s meaningless," the agent replied.
He looked down at the blood on his hands, then at Lucina, and walked over to the green bucket to wash his hands. The clear water quickly turned crimson red.
"Breathe... breathe... these wounds are fake..." Lucina muttered to herself. The cutting pain was too real, and even though she knew it was all an illusion, the pain was genuinely there, and the sweat was indeed coming out of her body.
Lucina watched the water in the bucket, waiting for it to turn clear again, but at the same time, she needed to find a way to divert the agent’s attention in the moment the illusion reset.
When the iron chains no longer existed, Lucina needed to quickly withdraw her hands and break free from her restraints, but if the agent saw her, she would lose the chance to attack him stealthily.
"Break time, Miss Lucina. You have 6 minutes," the agent announced.
"Hmm... Better go easy on the variety next time... I’m quite looking forward to it..." Lucina said.
"You know, I once tortured a woman who was an investigator. I forgot her name, but I recall she was Asian," the agent said, turning to tidy up the tools on the table and making small talk.
"But she wasn’t as lucky as you, because the torture she endured wasn’t an illusion; it was real... She lasted an entire night and died in her chair the next morning," the agent said.
The water in the bucket turned clear! The wounds on Lucina’s body also slowly faded.
Lucina quickly pulled her hands back. Her right arm was slow, and her wrist was still entangled, but her left arm had indeed broken free, and an iron chain from the ceiling dangled in mid-air.
She immediately wrapped the hanging chain around her own arm, pretending to still be bound.
"I am curious, if it were you, how long could you last?" the agent turned his head, holding a scalpel in his hand.
"I could definitely last longer than her," Lucina scorned.
"I still remember how I made her break down that night, Miss Lucina. You just now asking me to change things up reminded me of my methods from before. Now let’s see if you are indeed tougher than her." The agent smiled rarely, his grin revealing a lecherous delight.
Lucina eyed the scissors, understanding what the agent wanted to do, but clearly, this was his last enjoyment, she would no longer give him the chance to touch her body.
"Then let’s try..." said Lucina.
The agent supported Lucina’s waist with his left hand while holding the scalpel in his right, tracing across her beautiful abdominals as if picking the best spot to start.
"I suggest you clench your teeth, Miss Lucina, because the pain will be beyond your imagination. This won’t just be superficial pain; this time, I want to explore what’s inside you..." The agent licked his lips.
"Goodbye... you damn mongrel!" Lucina said coldly.
Suddenly, her left hand slipped out of the iron chains, seized the wrist holding the scalpel, and drove it toward his jaw. Lucina’s left arm muscles tensed, and with a forceful movement, she lifted the agent with one arm.
The agent emitted no sound from the pain. The scalpel, having pierced his flesh, went straight into his mouth. Held aloft by Lucina’s single hand, he could only tip-toe in pain. One of his hands tightly grasped Lucina’s left arm, and the other covered his neck, just above the spot, as blood flowed incessantly.
Lucina didn’t want him to make noise and attract his colleagues. To cover their tracks, she feigned a painful scream, pulling the agent close into her arms and tightly choked him with her elbow.
Gasping for breath, the agent kept slapping Lucina’s arm, but only met with ever-tightening constraint.
"Uh... uh..." the agent choked, his mouth obstructed by the sharp scalpel, his whole body struggling.
The wounds were all illusions, and the scalpel in the agent’s mouth would reset, but Lucina didn’t know the conditions or the timing of the reset. Suddenly, the right-hand chain disappeared, she violently pulled her hand out, the agent fell, and rolled, locking his legs around Lucina’s head.
Lucina recognized this as a ground technique; using brute force, she stood up, grabbed the agent’s thigh and arm, and flung him aside.
The agent must have released the Illusion Technique himself, unable to endure the pain from the illusion.
"You are very clever, Miss Lucina. Very clever," the agent said as he picked himself up from the ground, now aware that Lucina had found a loophole in the illusion.
"You can no longer hurt me... I am going to destroy you!" Lucina clenched her fists and shouted angrily.
"You might have found a loophole, but don’t forget, I am outfitted with ’Illusion Technique.’ You fool," the agent created a Glock handgun out of thin air and aimed at Lucina, pulling the trigger.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Five consecutive shots hit Lucina; three in the abdomen, one in the chest, and one in the left shoulder. Coughing blood, she knelt on the ground.
"You stand no chance, you’ll just obediently be a toy," mocked the agent.
"Go to hell!" Lucina forced herself to stand and charged at the agent.
She could feel the bullets still embedded in her organs and bones; the pain was severe and real, but her rage was unquenchable. Lucina used her fury to overcome the void.
"Damn... this bitch is crazy..." the agent flinched and fired several more shots at Lucina.
Imaginary bullets riddled Lucina’s body, but she lunged forward, tackling the agent to the ground and clutched his neck with both hands.
"Bang! Bang!" The agent’s tongue protruded as he struggled, the gun against Lucina’s abdomen fired twice, and a mouthful of blood sprayed into the agent’s eyes.
"Goodnight, you bastard!" Lucina roared, snapping the agent’s neck.
