Chapter 593: Chapter 528: The Superposition State of the Soul

Aeo was a capricious God above Gods. Aside from those deities that had existed since ancient times, many deities hadn’t even heard any parables from this God above Gods. They were just unluckily turned into mortals with a slap when Aeo was angry.

Sometimes, when in a good mood, Aeo would fish out a Soul that had long since perished from the river of time and grant it the power of a deity.

Most of the time, this person’s death was spectacular enough and interesting enough to talk about.

But Aeo almost never dealt with living mortals. No one knew why; it could only be speculated that it was this God above Gods’ personal preference.

After all, the rules were set by Aeo, who held the absolute right to interpret them and to modify them at any time.

Amberser’s death was legendary enough, and this lich himself had performed many feats beyond mortal limitations. It was quite normal for him to be deified by Aeo after his death.

The God of Alchemy certainly did not wish for his student to be consecrated as a similar type of deity and have his own deity position divided. Therefore, he hoped his student would eternally fall into Hell.

As long as the mortal was not completely dead, then Aeo would not intervene.

"To the devils, this seems an imperfect but very persuasive reason. My student, ah, he really had everything prepared, it’s just a pity that destiny did not side with him," said the God of Alchemy.

The God of Alchemy lay in His Divine Realm, sharing His frustrations with the Goddess of Wealth, Wojin.

"Which teacher cleans up after their student every day? Shouldn’t it be the teacher exploiting the student ruthlessly, treating them as a slave, and claiming all the academic achievements for themselves?"

Dressed like a noble lady, Wojin smiled and said, "Haven’t you already obtained the academic achievements? Your position as the God of Alchemy came from that."

The God of Alchemy said helplessly, "That’s true, I reaped the benefits early; now it’s time to pay back. I just didn’t expect the trouble this lad causes to grow bigger and bigger."

On the eve of the battle at the Storm Coliseum, Amberser had a very long talk with the God of Alchemy.

Destiny was set and could not be defied. Amberser knew he would die in that embarrassing way. But every Diviner Mage talks about accepting destiny, yet they all try to do something just before dying.

Mr. Misfortune did so, Selwyn did so, and Amberser was no exception.

"Though I don’t know what happens after death, I guess I will fall into Hell, and I assume my Soul will be shattered, even completely destroyed. If not, my friends would easily revive me. If it’s completely destroyed, then teacher, you don’t have to do anything. But if there’s still a slight chance, I hope, teacher, you can do something for me," Amberser had earnestly requested, so the God of Alchemy had no reason to refuse.

He just didn’t expect that everything Amberser did next would be so insane.

The God of Alchemy watched as Amberser pulled out a large halo from his own Soul.

The pain of tearing the Soul could make even the Undead wish to kill themselves, but Amberser endured it, severing a part of his Soul and solemnly handing it to the God of Alchemy.

"Teacher, that hammer of yours, it should be able to transform this into an Alchemical Product, right?" Amberser said shakily.

Only then did the God of Alchemy realize that what Amberser had taken from his Soul were all the memories related to his Legendary Grace.

Pseudo-Soul, Golden Throne, and his Destiny Weaving—three kinds of Legendary Grace.

The God of Alchemy didn’t know how much resolve Amberser had, He only knew that Amberser was truly about to die. Legendary Grace could be understood as an understanding of World Laws, a sort of weak divine power closely linked to the Soul. Mortals cannot simply separate these powers, just as Amberser, upon receiving Rose’s avatar, required the God of Alchemy to differentiate the contained Deity Position.

Thus, what Amberser was doing now was akin to dismembering himself in advance, forcefully ripping his Soul apart.

Pain was secondary; such forceful disintegration would cause severe damage to the Soul. Were it not for the power of the Legendary Ranger’s Grace supporting him, Amberser would have probably died already.

The God of Alchemy could not understand what Amberser wanted to do, but still, He followed Amberser’s wishes and used His own power to transform these three types of Legendary Grace into Alchemical Products.

That crystalline hammer was actually a manifestation of the rules of Alchemy, a power the God of Alchemy realized after becoming stronger. When the hammer struck down, it could decipher the principles of all Magic Power and could also transform any spell through Alchemy—effectively deconstructing and reconstructing.

The three types of Legendary Grace were disassembled and then recombined by the hammer of the God of Alchemy, eventually forming a huge alchemy furnace.

This was the last lifeline Amberser left for himself.

Complete death waiting for Aeo to grant rebirth?

Hehe, to spend his life not worshipping deities and then begging for Aeo’s mercy after death? Amberser couldn’t do such hypocritical acts; he also did not want to pin his hopes on the mercy of deities.

Never worshipping deities, never seeking divine help in times of need—this had always been Amberser’s standard in life.

After all, a Diviner Mage does not believe in fate; they always think they can change their fate, or find a glimmer of hope under the shadow of destiny—this might be considered a professional tradition.
