Chapter 574: Chapter 511: Kalsass’s Deification Magic
Amberser looked at the empty arena and couldn’t help saying, "Madness? Can you bear the consequences of sending these legends to different timelines and the ensuing chaos in the world?"
When Amberser had gone back to the past, he encountered bizarre trials and had to be involved in the major events of history.
Now that the Magic Dragon was sending a group of legends to different timelines, even if the timelines had the ability to self-repair, they would definitely be seriously affected.
After leaving Alchemy City, Amberser had felt more than once that something was off, with many memories about time nodes appearing mismatched, and at the time, he had thought it was just his old age causing him to remember incorrectly.
Now it seemed that it was probably the "illusions" caused by the Magic Dragon’s meddling.
However, Atros didn’t care about this at all. As soon as Arthur Laine appeared, he launched a relentless attack on him.
Even after being reborn, the Magic Dragon still inherited the old vendetta and lost control upon seeing Arthur Laine.
Arthur Laine’s mecha form was very large, standing at ten meters tall.
But compared to this hundred-meter Giant Dragon, it still seemed too fragile, merely a single tail attack sent him flying, with various parts scattering in the air.
It was clear that a fight was out of the question.
The reason Arthur Laine was able to ambush was all because of the Hourglass Artifact within him, which also possessed the Power of Time of the Magic Dragon. After being an Instrument Spirit for one thousand seven hundred years, Arthur barely managed to use a bit of its power.
But when the Magic Dragon focused entirely on him, the Artifact Hourglass inside him instead became a hindrance.
Arthur Laine’s body couldn’t move and could only passively take hits. Struggling to fight back, he hadn’t even raised his sword before the Magic Dragon tore off one of his legs.
The Magic Dragon wasn’t killing the enemy but was completely venting.
Time and again, he bombarded Arthur Laine’s body and then repaired it, seemingly intent on inflicting endless pain.
But Amberser didn’t take the opportunity to flee. Instead, he took out a strange device and carefully monitored the readings on it.
When Arthur Laine was dismantled for the fifth time, Amberser finally saw the readings on the device enter a critical value.
Then there was a snap, and a tall and frenzied figure appeared in the arena.
Orc King Luoga, wielding his twin axes, re-emerged in the arena.
Luoga seemed not to have reacted yet, but on seeing the Giant Dragon in the sky, he immediately let out a roar and hurled his axes at the Magic Dragon.
The axe, glowing red, spun rapidly, taking the Magic Dragon by surprise.
He had sent this Orc King to a different timeline, so how did he suddenly appear here?
The Magic Dragon quickly realized that his own power was being consumed too greatly. The Power of Time was affecting every part of the world’s timelines by sending away numerous legendary figures.
This was a process of continuous expenditure, and the cost of history’s self-repair was borne by the Magic Dragon himself.
Even though he was now stronger than the Magic Dragon Tyrant of the past, he had still underestimated these legends’ destructive power on the timelines.
The sudden return of Orc King Luoga was just the beginning; if this continued, other legends would return one after another.
Faced with the flying axe, Atros temporarily put aside the anger in his heart and flapped his wings, creating a Wind of Time that slowed the axe to slower than a snail.
Then, with a flick of his tail, the Magic Dragon sent the Battle Axe flying back at ten times the speed.
Orc King Luoga’s eyes widened as he tried to catch the returning axe, but his own movements were also slower than a snail’s.
The spinning axe cleaved into his chest, bisecting Orc King Luoga’s body diagonally.
The sharp enough artifact to penetrate armor had now backfired on its owner.
In his lifetime, Orc King Luoga had never imagined that he would be defeated so easily; he couldn’t even comprehend where he had lost.
Amberser, watching the bisected Orc King, couldn’t help but sigh.
This was one of the various failures tested inside the Connected Dream Realm: the Power of Time was an unreasonable force; it could not be resisted with Magic Resistance. It only slowed you down, affected the time flow around you. You wouldn’t even feel yourself slowing down, but the deadly attacks appeared faster.
Only a barrage of intensive attacks could force the Magic Dragon to consume power, pushing him to lose precise control of the Power of Time.
But now, with only the Orc King alone, it truly was a death sentence.
The Magic Dragon didn’t even glance at the corpse, turning his attention back to the battered mecha. He pondered how he wanted to torment Arthur Laine.
Seeing the Orc King’s tragic death and Arthur Laine, who was barely breathing, finally could not hold back and shouted loudly, "How much longer?!"
The Magic Dragon Tyrant was momentarily stunned before finally turning to look at Amberser, who had been hiding on the side all this time. In his torment of Arthur Laine, he had truly forgotten about this Lich.
"How much longer?" Could it be that this Lich still had a hidden card up his sleeve?
Amberser crushed the instrument in his hand and then said, "The timing is just right."
The time that had been at a standstill began to flow again; it was because the Time Barrier created by the Magic Dragon Tyrant was being shaken by a massively powerful force.
In the center of the Arena, a rainbow-like brilliance burst forth from the ground, charging towards the sky.
The Magic Dragon, the Lich, and the Mecha were all within the impact range of this dazzling light.
Atros had no idea what this phenomenon was, but given his large size, he was most likely to be hit. He could no longer afford to deal with Amberser and Arthur Laine, channeling the Power of Time with all his might, attempting to freeze this multicolored brilliance.
The colorful energy did indeed slow down but continued to spread upward relentlessly. The Power of Time, ordinarily imperceptible to the senses, was visualized at this moment as countless hourglasses appeared, like chains, locking down the huge column of light, vowing to suppress it.
Amberser, witnessing this colossal power, remarked with feeling, "The Time Dragon truly is a born Legendary Giant Dragon, huh? It can even block this? This power has gathered the faith of tens of millions, even a Deity might not withstand it, right?"
"You damned Lich! What exactly have you done?!"
Atros gritted his teeth, persevering while his entire body, save his mouth, was immobilized.
Amberser chuckled and explained, "I haven’t done much, just spent all my savings to construct a grand Magic Array, using tens of millions of Underground Undead and Koutoa Murlocs as batteries of faith to cast the lost Kalsass’s Deification Magic, that’s all."
"Kalsass’s Deification Technique?! Impossible, that is absolutely impossible!"
Atros had of course heard of Kalsass’s Deification Technique, the terrible magic that had killed the original Magic Goddess, but after that event, the spell had been banned; no one could possibly cast it.
"It was impossible, as the Magic Goddess would never allow mortals to commit such a sacrilege again, but thanks to the Dark Goddess Shael, and Prince of Lies Hircine, the successive alterations by these two Deities have made some changes in this spell. This Kalsass’s Deification Technique no longer targets the Magic Goddess alone but can be aimed at any Deity Faction. As long as All Gods approve, this rainbow light can make any mortal ascend to Deity status, rest assured, absolutely no toxicity or side effects."
Amberser did not lie this time; he had indeed received the Gods’ approval. Those lingering shadows in the sky were the watchful eyes of the Deities, under whose tacit consent the current situation had unfolded.
Amberser had used the favor of kidnapping the Koutao Mermaid Goddess, borrowing Talos’s face to have all the Deities present today consent to this ascent to divinity.
As for the "World Forget Me" scroll, Amberser hadn’t used it on Kalsass’s Deification Technique; instead, he made the world forget about the existence of the Connected Dream Realm.
This was the most lifelike and least detectable Illusion Technique in the world.
In Silver Coin Island, Amberser constructed a magic array similar to the Emerald Dream Forest Barrier. From the moment the Laine People settled in, they had fallen into the realm of dreams. Not only the Laine People but all guests from other Kingdoms were included.
The reason for appointing Elf Maids as receptionists was because the Elf Tribe was unaffected by the dream realm and could carry out subsequent operations after others had fallen asleep.
One by one, the guests were awakened by Amberser, who explained the plan to each individually, ensuring they confirmed the function of the Lie Detection Ring and asking them to act together in the charade.
Even so, the Laine People were stubborn, and among the entourage, only Old William and Allen were willing to cooperate within the dream realm.
The roles of others relied on the fabrication of the dream realm, making them appear foolish in battle and fail to display the true power of legends. Fortunately, the Magic Dragon did not notice the irregularity and eventually revealed his weaknesses within the dream, and his identity was ultimately uncovered.
By then, everyone had been transferred to another place, Talos’s Storm Coliseum. Amberser had also spent a significant amount to construct a large Magic Array there.
Kalsass’s Deification Technique · Divine Edition.
Ordinary people couldn’t use this technique, as the grand spell required not only vast human and material resources but also the approval of the Gods.
Forced deification—what kind of deity could one become?
Not afraid of being smitten by Aeo, or devoured by an Evil God?
The choice was Talos’s territory; without his consent, it would be suicide!
Luckily, Amberser’s network was far stronger than that of a mortal, which was why such a grand scene was possible today.
"What exactly are you trying to do?! Kalsass’s Deification Technique? With so much effort, what scheme do you have in mind?"
Atros had yet to figure it out; he always felt that Amberser was deceiving him. The pressure from the rainbow light was immense, forcing him to grit his teeth and tough it out.
"What scheme could there be, Your Majesty, the Magic Dragon Tyrant? I simply wish to send you back into the embrace of the Dragon Pantheon. As long as you stop resisting, you can ascend to divinity, and everything in the Mortal Realm will no longer concern you."
As Amberser said, only three were present.
Whomever the colorful light settled upon would ascend to divinity, and while the status would be of an exceedingly weak god, it would be enough for one to leave the mortal coil and depart the Mortal Realm forever. The Magic Dragon, with his massive size, was bound to be the first targeted by the Magic Array.
Ascend to the Divine Country, then all matters of the Mortal Realm will no longer involve you.
Of course, if one couldn’t withstand it and was directly blasted to death, then that would be even better.
