Chapter 512: Chapter 470 Unbound and Free_2
The Necromancy Codex required one’s own magic power to write text on it to be sent out, and both Amberser and Aige did not dare to use magic power casually now, as it could easily cause problems. They had no choice but to ask someone else for assistance.
Hake Stone, the vampire, was now like Amberser’s shadow, following him everywhere safe, and now his presence came in handy.
Hake Stone slowly put away his notebook, which had just written "...having just said goodbye to the unsuspecting Princess Raging Tide, he took another lady’s hand; yet Master Ultraman showed not even the slightest sign of embarrassment. It seems he’s done this countless times before."
Hake Stone stopped writing, took out the Necromancy Codex, and then spoke up in the messaging group.
[Doesn’t Like Humans: Friends, we’ve encountered a problem and need assistance. See the picture for details.]
Hake Stone, with a magic touch, sketched out the scene of Amberser and Aige holding hands in just a few simple strokes and sent it to the chat group.
Amberser and Aige each held one side of Amberser’s Necromancy Codex, looking at the messages in the chat group.
Seeing the lifelike portrait, Amberser exclaimed in shock, "You have this kind of skill?"
Hake Stone said proudly, "I am a vampire, the most elegant of the undead. I’m not only knowledgeable but also an artist. I can paint, and there’s no musical instrument I can’t play."
Amberser commented calmly, "Elegance is all about the face and figure first, isn’t it?"
Hake Stone glared at Amberser viciously, then drew another quick sketch from a different angle and uploaded it.
It was still done in just a few strokes, but with a few additional touches, capturing the look in their eyes.
Except there was something off about that look.
The next second, the group chat burst into activity.
[The Crown of the Headless Knight: What’s going on? What’s going on?! Brother Diga, speak up, what is this about?!]
[Withered Rose: ???]
[The Pale Skeleton: Humph, men are all the same!]
Amberser saw that things weren’t going right—this vampire was spreading sensational rumors!
Wasn’t this seeking death?
Amberser didn’t need to lift a finger; Aige just turned to look at Hake Stone, and her indifferent, emotionless eyes made the Love Vampire shiver.
"Do you think it’s appropriate to joke around at a time like this?"
Aige’s tone was very calm, but Hake Stone quivered.
He had been reckless, too focused on getting one over on the Lich, forgetting that Aige was much more terrifying than the Lich.
Amberser watched the Dwarf scratch his head and ears in agitated confusion, chuckling to himself—didn’t this Dwarf know what timing was? Was now really the time for jokes?
"It’s a complete misunderstanding," Hake Stone said and immediately explained in the group chat: [The Koutao Mermaid Goddess attacked Ms. Aige with the Power of Faith. Right now, my good brother Diga Ultraman is helping her filter that insane faith and maintaining Ms. Aige’s sanity. They are both unable to use magic power. Friends, don’t get the wrong idea, this is normal treatment!]
[Withered Rose: Is that so?]
[The Crown of the Headless Knight: Then why did you draw it so suggestively? Their eyes are practically melting!]
[The Pale Skeleton: Is painting a side job for you, Dwarf? What kind of stuff are you drawing?]
[The Crown of the Headless Knight: Right, that style of drawing is just not serious! You’re defaming my brother’s reputation, he’ll definitely demand compensation!]
Amberser reminded, "Hake Stone, tell them that the Koutao’s faith is too vast; I’m afraid I can’t fully divert it on my own, let them think of a solution quickly."
Hake Stone didn’t dare to make any more jokes, and he quickly relayed Amberser’s words as instructed.
Unfortunately, these few active group members didn’t have any good solutions to the problem of the Power of Faith either.
After they discussed for quite a while, a weighty reply finally appeared in the group chat.
[The Mourner: Aige, have you already felt the intent of the God above Gods?]
It was the Guild Leader, the Elegy Poetry Society leader who typically paid no attention to the group chat, and finally, he showed up!
Amberser was startled, never expecting the most mysterious leader to appear. If the Guild Leader were to take personal action, this matter should be stable now, right?
Hake Stone also understood how critical the situation was and immediately helped Aige send the reply to the group: [Guild Leader, Ms. Aige says she has felt the intent of the God above Gods, and this is the trial she needs to endure.]
[The Mourner: Good, I understand.]
Huh?
Is that all?
Amberser was puzzled; what did the Guild Leader’s "I understand" imply? The next second, a skinny old man who looked almost like a skeleton appeared before him.
Amberser’s senses hadn’t detected his approach at all; it was as if he had always been there.
This was the first time Amberser had seen this legendary figure in person; he really wanted to ask why he had placed the Necromancy Codex next to his own coffin in the first place.
Aige, on the other hand, spoke excitedly, "Guild Leader, long time no see."
The skeletal old man nodded at her and said kindly, "You have also finally reached this point, much faster than I had imagined."
The Guild Leader turned to look at Amberser and said, "You’ve surprised me; these past few days, you’ve caused quite the stir."
Amberser replied a bit sheepishly, "Can’t help it, making money isn’t easy these days."
The Guild Leader just smiled faintly at Amberser without any comment, as if he wasn’t too concerned about anything, much like before.
Turning to Aige again, the Guild Leader told her, "Since you’ve already sensed the intent of the God above Gods, you must understand that this is your trial. The help of others can only give you more time to think, but if you can’t overcome this challenge on your own, you will ultimately not earn Aeo’s recognition."
