Chapter 486: Chapter 449: Organizing a Divine Battle
Amberser started out jokingly suggesting that Talos should marry the Koutao Mermaid Goddess; it was really just a joke at the time.
But now, he really couldn’t help himself. Right in front of Talos, he pointed at the lobster-headed monstrosity and said, "I’ll gift you this creature for a wife."
This mad Goddess had caused trouble time after time, and Amberser felt an aching dissatisfaction until she was dead.
"Talos, you wanted to enjoy the spectacle, didn’t you? Well, here’s a grand one for you—are you brave enough to take it?"
The madwoman and the pleasure-seeker—go lock yourselves up and have your fun!
Upon hearing Amberser’s proclamation,
Talos, who also loved a good show, took shape in the palm of Amberser’s hand, laughing maniacally, "Good, interesting! I like your kind of crazy, but do you know what you just did? You made a vow in front of me with your own mouth; if you can’t do it, the Storm’s vengeance will come upon you."
As expected, Talos, for the sake of entertainment, wouldn’t even refuse a mad Shrimp-head Goddess.
Brivodoup, however, let out a series of ear-piercing laughs: "Foolish and arrogant mortals, what do you think you can do to a Deity? In these Deep Seas, the numbers of Koutao Murlocs reach millions, so what does killing a few tens of thousands matter? Mortals, do you really think you can stand equal to the gods with your cunning deceptions?"
Amberser sneered coldly, then said, "A Deity? I haven’t seen one before. May I ask, Koutao Mermaid Goddess, as great as you are, could you make the Rose Spider Queen spit out half of her Deity Position? Can you make the Grand Duke of Hell, Zariel, and Goddess Tiamat back down on a contract? Or do you have the qualifications to urge the Elven God-King Corellon to ask for your help to save the Drow Elves?"
Brivodoup opened its lobster mouth but ultimately could not speak.
Faced with such an unreasonable madwoman, Amberser was now going all out, not giving Brivodoup any face and said loudly, "Brivodoup, do you really think you’re some kind of ancient Deity? I was polite to you before because I wanted to have a proper conversation, but you madwoman wouldn’t even give me a chance to speak. From beginning to end, you’ve been the one provoking trouble, launching attacks at me time and time again! I believe that harmony brings wealth, but that doesn’t mean I have no temper!"
"I will definitely bind you and send you to the Tower of Ruins, to the great Lord of the Storm! Just wait; if I don’t manage to do it, let me turn into a Koutao Murloc!"
Brivodoup roared angrily: "Blasphemous Lich, I will kill you! No one can save you!"
Amberser responded without any sign of weakness, "If you have the guts, do it now. I want to see how many Deity Positions Aeo will punish you to spit out! Even the Lord of the Dawn wouldn’t dare to strike me dead with a Holy Light; what can you do?! You really think as a mad Deity you can do anything, yet this mere mortal will show you what the wrath of mortals is!"
Talos, who had been watching the drama unfold, couldn’t help but clap and cheer!
"Exciting, too exciting! I’ve never seen such a reckless mortal like you. You’re even more interesting than Arthur Laine back in the day! Little guy, what’s your plan?"
Talos seemed completely indifferent to the issue of marriage, now only wanting to know how Amberser planned to package the Koutao Mermaid Goddess and deliver her to his Divine Realm.
Talos definitely wouldn’t help, he just wanted to see how Amberser planned to do it with his mortal self.
"Talos, you’re a Deity too, are you just going to watch this mortal blaspheme against us? Aeo will punish you!" Brivodoup cursed fiercely.
Raging torrents converged around Brivodoup as if intent on lashing out at Talos’s projection.
It’s Deity against Deity now and there are no rules of Aeo involved, Brivodoup was so eager to strike in a move that it hoped might also take out the Lich while it’s at it.
Talos turned to look at the Shrimp-head Goddess, saying disdainfully, "You think you are on the same level as me? In my eyes, you’re not even as important as this Lich."
After mocking the Koutao Mermaid Goddess, Talos spoke to Amberser, "I really like this script of a mortal defying a Deity, on the condition that you can actually do it. If you succeed, I will grant you a boon beyond your wildest dreams. Keep it up, arrogant mortal. I sure hope I won’t see you kneeling before me, begging in a sorry state."
The light on the bracelet gradually brightened; Talos had already withdrawn his gaze.
Amberser didn’t care about the Shrimp-head Goddess’s reaction. After he decided, it no longer mattered what Brivodoup wanted, and he hadn’t planned on using words to convince the goddess to package herself up and deliver to Talos’s domain.
Since Talos had no objections, Amberser could proceed with the next step.
But the still-rageful Shrimp-head Goddess mocked Amberser, saying, "Mortal, that coward Talos won’t dare to help you. What can you possibly do to threaten me on your own?"
Amberser met her with a cold laugh, then soared into the sky.
Brivodoup watched Amberser leaving. Initially wanting to intervene, in the end, they did not take direct action against Amberser, and a large portion of the Koutao Murlocs in this sea area were already dead.
The remaining Koutao Murlocs could hardly pose any threat to Amberser.
Brivodoup might be insane, but not that idiotic; in its eyes, Amberser was still just a mortal.
Just a mortal, what could he do?
Their Divine Realm wasn’t even on the Prime Material Plane; how could this Lich affect them?
Brivodoup thought Amberser might at most strike at the Koutao Murlocs, but dealing with an entire race could never be so easy. The vast sea, did this Lich really think he could be the king of it?
