Chapter 1449: Chapter 1449: Afraid of Being Snatched Away by Other Beauties

"Yang Qingye, you’ve said the same thing at least three times already. Do you really think it needs repeating over and over?" Luo Ziling said, handing the plate of sauerkraut fish that Yang Qingyin had just tasted to Yang Qingye. "Take the dish out."

Yang Qingye took the sauerkraut fish, but instead of walking out immediately, he earnestly added, "What I said is absolutely true. My sister has never liked any other man before. You’re the first one she likes, so you must never let her down."

Hearing Yang Qingye say this, Yang Qingyin immediately became a little flustered and indignant. "Yang Qingye, what nonsense are you spouting?"

"Hehe, Sis, I’m just looking out for you. Too many women have their eyes on your man. I just hope you’re taking this seriously." After saying this, Yang Qingye finally carried the dish out of the kitchen.

"Hmph." Once Yang Qingye left the kitchen, Yang Qingyin gave Luo Ziling a side-eye. "Remember what Qingye said today."

"What happened? Did something go on in America?" Luo Ziling asked, feeling a bit guilty.

"Hmph, I’m not telling you." Yang Qingyin gave him a huffy glance before looking away.

Seeing her like this, Luo Ziling couldn’t resist walking over. He wrapped her in his arms, and without caring that the kitchen door was slightly ajar, kissed her directly.

Yang Qingyin struggled hard, but she didn’t dare make too much noise. In the end, she succumbed to Luo Ziling’s bold move.

After a passionate and lingering kiss, Yang Qingyin’s cheeks turned bright red, and her hair came slightly undone.

She angrily pinched Luo Ziling, then decisively let her ponytail down completely.

"Are you going home tonight?" Luo Ziling asked while stir-frying a dish. "Or are you staying here?"

"Of course I’m going home," Yang Qingyin glared at him. "School hasn’t started yet. I’ll be sleeping at home for the next few days."

"Alright then," Luo Ziling replied somewhat awkwardly. "When should we visit your grandfather together?"

"Wait for my call. I’ll see which day works best, and then we’ll go." Yang Qingyin lowered her voice to warn him, "But you’d better be prepared to be scolded. Even though my father has issues with Yang Yunzhong, he was furious when Yang Yunzhong got hurt. I imagine Grandpa will be even angrier."

"And what about you?"

"Me?" Yang Qingyin rolled her eyes at Luo Ziling. "What do you think I’ll say?"

"Then let’s not talk about it." Luo Ziling chuckled. "How about having a drink later?"

"No, my body can’t handle it right now!" Yang Qingyin blushed and replied softly, "I need to go to bed early and adjust to the time difference. I wasn’t used to it during the trip, and now that I’ve just started to adjust, we’re back again."

"Sounds like you didn’t really want to come back yet!"

"Spring is almost here. You promised to take me to the South—don’t go back on your word."

"Alright, once school starts, I’ll make some plans. I want to visit Yuezhou again, and we can take a stroll along West Lake."

During dinner, Luo Ziling invited Wang Zhenjun and Ye Xiaoli to join them, so the four of them had their meal together.

Originally, Wang Zhenjun wanted to take Ye Xiaoli nearby to grab some noodles, thinking it would be better not to disturb Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin.

But when Luo Ziling asked them to join for dinner, they didn’t decline.

Luo Ziling and Yang Qingye each had a little alcohol, while Yang Qingyin refrained due to her condition, and Wang Zhenjun and Ye Xiaoli both had to drive. Hence, only the two of them drank.

With Ye Xiaoli and Wang Zhenjun present, Yang Qingye didn’t speak as impudently as before.

At the dinner table, the siblings recounted some amusing anecdotes from their trip to America, even showing Luo Ziling some photos on their phone.

"How about writing a travel blog? Add some pictures to it—what do you think?" Luo Ziling suggested to Yang Qingyin. "Upload all the nice pictures so I can really enjoy them."

Yang Qingyin, however, did not respond to his suggestion. "I’ll upload the pictures to my QQ Space tonight. You can take your time looking at them there. As for a travel blog, I’m not too interested."

After saying this, she leaned toward Luo Ziling and whispered in his ear, "When you take me to the South next time, I’ll write a blog."

"Oh, I see—you need me around for inspiration!"

"Hmph!"

Their intimate behavior annoyed Yang Qingye, who complained, "Sis, Brother-in-law, can you not act all lovey-dovey in front of us? You’re hurting single people like me, you know."

"Just eat your food," Luo Ziling replied impatiently, tapping the table. "Haven’t you ever heard of ’don’t talk while eating or sleeping’?"

Yang Qingye chuckled. "Looks like the three of us better finish our meal quickly and leave you two some alone time. Is that what they mean by ’absence makes the heart grow fonder’?"

"No way. You can’t just finish eating and leave. The dishwashing duty is yours. Qingyin and I did the cooking, so we need clear responsibilities," Luo Ziling declared, promptly adding another suggestion, "You three can divide the tasks among yourselves."

True to his word, after dinner, Luo Ziling dragged Yang Qingyin upstairs, leaving Yang Qingye, Wang Zhenjun, and Ye Xiaoli to clean up.

During dinner, Wang Zhenjun and Ye Xiaoli hardly said a word, but afterward, they quietly tidied up the mess.

Yang Qingye, the pampered young master who wouldn’t even touch dishwater, obviously didn’t help.

"Sis, Brother-in-law, I’m heading out to buy some fruit. Take your time being lovey-dovey." With that, he cheerfully walked out to buy fruit.

Upstairs, Luo Ziling pulled Yang Qingyin into his arms, making her feel a little shy at first. But as his embrace grew more intense, she let herself get lost in the moment, indulging in passionate affection.

However, Yang Qingyin soon broke free, worried about being teased by the others.

"It feels like so much happened in Yanjing while I was away. Care to fill me in?" she asked softly after pulling away. "I heard you and Fang Dongxun are planning to collaborate and enter the entertainment industry?"

"Wow, your intel is sharp," Luo Ziling said with a grin, brushing her nose lightly. "Fang Dongxun dragged me into this. He even recruited a few big stars, planning to use a ’honey trap.’ Good thing my resolve is firm—I didn’t fall for it."

"Ha! You? Firm resolve?" Yang Qingyin scoffed, looking at him disdainfully. "If anyone used a honey trap on you, you’d fall for it in a heartbeat."

"Why don’t you try and see?"

"Stop joking around and explain it properly!" Yang Qingyin said, pulling him to sit down. "Is Ouyang Feifei involved in this?"

Luo Ziling hesitated for a moment but eventually admitted, "Ouyang Feifei does want to invest. It looks like we’ll each hold about a third of the shares."

"Seems like more and more women are eyeing you," Yang Qingyin muttered, letting out another "hmph" before saying seriously, "I want in on this too."

"Why?"

"Because I’m worried another woman is going to steal you away!"
