Chapter 963: Chapter 963: The Deceptive Tour Guide

"Since you three have refused, we won’t pester you any further, but I hope you won’t regret your decision later."

With that, he exchanged a glance with the man in black and drifted away like a reed crossing the river, once again causing the tourists behind them to exclaim in amazement.

When they had gone far, the man in white huffed angrily, "Those three brats don’t appreciate our gesture, and they even lack respect in their words! Do they truly not understand what it means to be at the peak of the Transcendent Realm?"

"Come on, who hasn’t been a bit proud when they were young?" The man in green patted his shoulder, consoling, "Don’t fuss over young people, remember why we are here."

"After so many years, we’ve finally figured out the true entrance to Mount Kunlun. In the Secular World, we have reached the pinnacle of our strength," the man in black said solemnly. "The only way to break free from the shackles of the Secular World is to enter Mount Kunlun."

"Let’s go. According to the information we received, the real entrance to Mount Kunlun is right at its peak."

The man in green looked up at the lightning hidden among the clouds, his eyes filled with longing.

"Mount Kunlun... a place many martial artists long for but cannot reach. We’re finally going to find it!"

...

At the foot of the mountain, Ning Fan and his companions also began their climb along with the tourists.

Shuang’er was fuming all the way, "Master, those three were too arrogant, even wanting to take us as their disciples!"

"Their strength is indeed great, they are qualified to take you as disciples," Ning Fan said calmly.

Shuang’er huffed, "I already have a master, they are not worthy to compare with you!"

Ning Fan laughed and continued walking up the mountain without further comment.

He had previously scanned the area with his spiritual power, but could not find the so-called entrance to Mount Kunlun.

It seems that one must truly reach the summit of Mount Kunlun to discover where that entrance is.

The journey up the mountain was uneventful, and soon they reached the mid-mountain area.

"What? Since when do they increase the charge at this point?"

"Didn’t we already pay all the money at the foot of the mountain?"

An argument broke out, drawing the attention of the people around.

It was a tour group consisting of about a dozen tourists.

They were currently surrounding a man dressed as a guide, arguing indignantly.

With a flag in one hand and hands on his hips, the guide said arrogantly, "The money you paid earlier was just from the base to the mid-mountain. We’re at a shopping spot now, and you’ve got to finish buying before we can continue going up."

This statement enflamed everyone once more.

"For what reason?"

"Look at what you’re selling, it’s all junk."

"Charging us three thousand for a lousy rock, why should we buy it?"

Upon hearing this, the guide snickered and waved his hand, "If you don’t buy, then just stay put here at the mid-mountain."

Several tall and strong men emerged from the trees, grinning maliciously and encircling the tourists.

"What are you doing?"

"You’re forcing us to buy and sell!"

"Bastards! I’m calling the police!"

A tourist barely had his phone out when the guide snatched it away.

He didn’t get physical but merely sneered as he stared down the tourists, "This is Mount Kunlun, a famous scenic spot. Do you really think paying a few hundred will get you a full tour? Dream on!"

These tourists had been solicited at the base of the mountain, drawn by the low guide fees, only to find out they had to make forced purchases midway up the mountain.

Hearing the guide’s words, many tourists began to regret their decision, cursing themselves for being too greedy for a bargain.

"This is outrageous."

"This guide is just bullying us!"

"Stop talking, let’s just go. It’s better to mind our own business!"

While some tourists wanted to intervene, they were held back by their companions.

The guides were locals, usually with some background, and these outsiders really couldn’t afford to offend them.

Seeing that the bystanders adhered to the principle of avoiding trouble, the guide’s smile grew even more smug.

"Let me tell you, now you can either pay and buy stuff obediently, or just stay here until tomorrow," the guide announced.

"I have plenty of time, I can wait as long as it takes... who are you?"

As the guide was speaking, he suddenly noticed a petite girl appearing before him.

Shuang’er stood with hands on her hips, glaring at the guide with a frosty expression, "These tourists have already paid, and now you’re still asking for money. How is that different from outright robbery?"

The guide scoffed, "I never forced them to join my tour; they were just greedy for a cheap deal, so it’s their own fault for falling into the trap."

"This is clearly their own doing, how can you say I’m robbing them? If they weren’t greedy for this deal, wouldn’t they have avoided this situation?"

"Ultimately, it’s their own fault, what does it have to do with me? At most, I just didn’t explain the tour process clearly, but now I have clarified it."

Shuang’er found herself speechless and flushed with anger at his reasoning.

Even some tourists began to introspect, wondering if their own greed for a bargain had led to their predicament.

At that moment, Ning Fan spoke indifferently, "Shuang’er, there’s no need to waste time arguing with this guy. Just throw him down the mountain."
