The Young Master Storms the City
Chapter 1014: Simply a Genius

Chapter 1014: Chapter 1014: Simply a Genius

Despite his youth, to have such cultivation and be able to refine mid-grade elixirs!

This is simply genius!

"Yes, it’s just that particular Alchemy Master is somewhat fond of me, hence he gave me some guidance," Ning Fan said indifferently.

Upon hearing this, Xiong Lin and Wan Kun exchanged glances, their eyes brimming with amazement.

This statement might seem ordinary, but the implication behind it was utterly different.

Being favored by an Alchemy Master indicated that Ning Fan’s talent was absolutely beyond imagination.

Moreover, considering the strength behind the Alchemy Master, it confirmed their earlier speculation was true!

Indeed, the Five Great Sects wanted to support the Feiyu Sect!

Thinking of this possibility, Xiong Lin’s breathing grew heavier.

This was not only an opportunity for the Feiyu Sect but also for the Fuguang Sect!

If they could use this chance to forge a connection with the Feiyu Sect, the Fuguang Sect could at least rank among the top three of the medium sects.

One must know, countless sects would exhaust the efforts of several generations of their disciples to achieve this goal.

Ning Fan didn’t offer further explanations, merely maintaining an indifferent demeanor, which in the eyes of Xiong Lin and Wan Kun, appeared profound and unfathomable.

He said these words only to increase his significance in their eyes.

After all, he still had to find a way to uncover news about his father, and merely auctioning off the weapon his father once used was insufficient.

Before departure, Vice Sect Master Zhuang Peng explained this to him.

Using that kind of magical method to search for people came with significant limitations.

If too much time had passed since separation from the owner, even the most formidable cultivator couldn’t uncover many clues.

Therefore, the auction could only serve as a backup plan, and he needed more leads to find information about his father.

"Elder Xiong, I heard that there is a special weapon in this auction?" Ning Fan asked, feigning nonchalance.

Xiong Lin pondered for a moment before realization dawned, "It seems your Sect Master has told you about the past events, huh? To tell the truth, that person has been missing for so long, it’s nearly impossible to find him again."

"What do you mean?"

"Back then, Ning Potian was heavily injured and mysteriously vanished after being besieged by the Five Great Sects, and to this day, there’s still no trace of him," Xiong Lin’s eyes flickered with wariness, "and for some reason, the Five Great Sects are relentless in their pursuit of him."

With that, Xiong Lin paused then chuckled, "Actually, our Fuguang Sect decided to hold this auction precisely because we learned of this matter. After all, earning money from the Five Great Sects, why not, right?"

"Haha, your sect truly is filled with talent," Ning Fan laughed, his heart gradually sinking.

According to Xiong Lin, there would be many participants at the auction, which meant it was going to be highly competitive.

Before leaving, Vice Sect Master Zhuang Peng had entrusted all of Feiyu Sect’s financial resources to him in a storage ring.

But after all, the Feiyu Sect was but a small sect; how much wealth could they really have?

He had to find a way to earn more spirit stones within these three days.

Just as they were entering the Feiyu Sect, a figure stood in Xiong Lin’s way.

"Yo, isn’t that our Elder Xiong? Instead of maintaining order, why have you come back to the sect?"

The man blocking the way was a middle-aged man wearing a gray Taoist robe, with narrow eyes and an ominous look, his pupils flashing a fierce light.

Xiong Lin’s face darkened, and he coldly said, "Zhang Shili, what business is it of yours where I appear!"

Wan Kun whispered to Ning Fan, explaining, "This person is another one of our sect’s elders, and he has always been at odds with my master."

Zhang Shili sneered, "The Sect Master ordered us all to look for the Alchemy Master, yet to this moment, you haven’t found even a trace of one. Do you think that concerns you or not?"

"Oh, so you’ve found one?" Xiong Lin retorted.

"What do you mean?" Ning Fan asked in a low voice, "Is your sect searching for an Alchemy Master?"

Wan Kun hesitated, then said softly, "In fact, the Sect Master’s daughter has recently contracted a strange illness, for which no medicine or remedy has worked, so the Sect Master wishes to seek help from an Alchemy Master."

"Can a top-grade elixir cure it?"

"We aren’t sure, but it’s our last hope," Wan Kun shook his head, "If even a top-grade elixir has no effect, then we’ll have to look for other solutions."

Top-grade elixirs have a wide range of effects, including some miraculous ones like bringing the dead back to life and restoring bones to flesh.

This was why Wan Kun immediately reported to Xiong Lin upon learning that a high-level Alchemy Master had appeared in the Feiyu Sect.

If they could use the Feiyu Sect’s connection to get in touch with that high-level Alchemist, it would be a significant accomplishment for both him and Xiong Lin.

"Humph, it doesn’t matter if you haven’t found one, but that means the Cosmic Achievement is mine," Zhang Shili sneered. "When the time comes, I’m afraid even you, Elder Xiong, will have to respectfully call me Deputy Sect Master."

To cure his daughter, the Fuguang Sect Master had offered the highest reward he could give.

Whoever found a cure would become the Deputy Sect Master of the Fuguang Sect.

Although the Fuguang Sect was only a medium sect, because of the sect’s cultivation technique, its financial resources were far superior to those of other medium sects.
