Chapter 707: Chapter 377: Become One with God!_1

Ivita really didn’t know whether she should blame the Church for intentionally allowing the revival of the pagan Sea God. After all, the Church had obviously prioritized its own interest above the welfare of everyone on Cross Island.

Maybe to the Church, Cross Island was a lost cause.

The Church had long been unhappy about pirates taking over this crucial node in the trade route.

Ivita nodded at the man. "I see. May I ask who are you?"

"How should I address you, Father?"

The man in the white robe shook his head, "You can call me Mr. 333, because I’ve long since forgotten my own name. I have no religious rank within the Church because our existence originated from an ancient civilization’s mandate to the Church. We are meant to confront an enemy that has always been lurking throughout history."

"In fact, the resurfacing of the female sea... witch is also its handiwork. We were completely fooled; your forceful investigation into the missing territories caught all our attention. We failed to foresee that it had been aiding the Sea Goddess in her rapid revival."

Ivita arched an eyebrow. "Who is this enemy?"

Mr. 333 continued shaking his head, "You don’t need to know that. His Majesty, Innocent II, has a plan."

Ivita was somewhat displeased, but seeing Mr. 333 nonchalantly mingle with her troops she said nothing.

An enemy lurking throughout history, huh?

She wondered whether this enemy was connected with the Black Death or the universal adversary Shaw the Conqueror had spoken about.

The Sea Goddess was rampantly slaughtering pirates in the centre of the arena, while Earl Hilker and Earl Rozlof angrily denounce the pirates and nobles who were ready to stand aside and watch, accusing them of encouraging the arrival and approach of death.

Many pirate earls gradually joined in the battle against the Sea Goddess.

Earl Dorn, Earl Denton, and Earl Menol also directed their troops to join the fray. Troops of soldiers and knights charged at the Sea Goddess, but despite such a massive and unorganized crowd, the Sea Giant paid them no attention and made no move to prepare in advance.

It wasn’t until the army approached that it abruptly disintegrated. Countless amounts of seawater and sea creatures surged out, destroying the ancient buildings of Blacktins Town that stood for over two hundred years and sweeping numerous soldiers into the current, causing many knights to fall off their horses.

Still, over a dozen Great Knights and even High Knights reached the Sea Spirit Witch and swung their knight swords at her.

But the Sea Spirit Witch created a water shield with her magic, blocking the strong aura, Evil Qi, and Sword Power of the high-ranking knights.

Within moments, the entire town was filled with various skills being utilized, knights charging, and the Witch’s magical power.

On the other side of Blacktins Town, the shattered Water Giant reformed, albeit slightly smaller. It stretched out its massive hand, reaching for a residence. It peeled off the roof, then sucked in the screaming witch hiding inside.

The Water Giant coldly looked at the desolate house. "That’s the second one."

"My divine power is gradually recovering."

"Also, Blacktins Town is by the sea, here, I can use the seawater to recover my strength at any time. As long as I’m near the sea, I possess infinite power."

"In this battle between me and the pirates, the moment Hilker and Rozlof agreed to hold their competition here at my command, I already won."

Meanwhile, in another part of town, the Sea Spirit Witch was suppressing a crowd of soldiers, high-ranking knights, and Great Knights with the power of the Witch Marquis. The streets were a disaster, everything seemed to have been submerged under the ocean – even the sky was filled with dense rainclouds, as if the world above was also drowned in water.

The Sea Spirit Witch looked down at humans with disgust. On the edge of the battlefield, the people of Blacktins Town were holding their children and pleading for the Sea God’s mercy. This only angered the Sea Spirit Witch even more, "Stop praying, because I will never forgive."

"Don’t feel wronged, because too often were the victims and the aggressors reversed here by you sea-folk."

Earl Hilker limped towards Rozlof, an ominous look in his eyes," You bastard, I’d rather die than team up with you. But looking at the situation now, we have to get rid of that damned Sea God first."

"My spells are useless against her! Do you have a plan?"

Rozlof was coping with the discomfort of his Nightmare Magic being countered. He said, "What can I do? The Sea Spirit Witch has choked my most formidable magical creature."

Hilker smirked mockingly, "Just half an hour ago, that Sea Spirit Witch was groveling before you, following your every command. The irony, Rozlof."

Earl Rozlof snorted and pointed to the Sea Giant on the other side of town, "You’re not one to talk. Wasn’t that thing obedient to you just an hour ago? Sorry to break it to you, but in this world, you can only count on yourself. We have both ended up like this because somebody betrayed us."

"The lord of Cross Island can only emerge from us two. Let’s get rid of that troublesome Sea God first." Hilker said, "If we can knock the Sea Goddess unconscious, your Nightmare Magic can certainly penetrate deep into her dream state. There, your Nightmare Magic would be ten times stronger."
