Chapter 593: Chapter 334: Frog Princess and Dragon Palace Magic Suppressing the Dragon-Veined Lizardmen Troops (Revised) _1

Contrary to what Kamizuki and the Dead Cow Wizard thought, the Lizardmen’s food turned out not to be insects, but rather roast beef and lamb legs, as well as whole roast chickens on grills.

These chickens were unique to the swamp and their whole bodies were covered in colored feathers. They used these dense and very long feathers to increase their ability to float, thus gaining the freedom to move around in the swamp.

Interestingly, unlike the Longhair Tribe who built huts on floating bridges and trees, the Lizardmen preferred to live in open areas.

They hardly had any buildings.

The scales on the Lizardmen’s bodies provided insulation, they used sheepskin and hides to make numerous rafts, which they could use to move quickly in the swamp.

The banquet was held in the swamp, with grills and food all set up on the sheepskin rafts.

Looking at these sheepskin rafts, Ivita understood – these were akin to hovercraft.

In her previous life, hovercrafts could travel in swamps without any speed restrictions.

No wonder the pirates were often more adaptable to the swamp environment than the Duke’s army; by using sheepskin rafts, they basically still fought naval battles in the swamp.

The Flame Giant Lizard-man leader was pleased to see Kamizuki and the Dead Cow Wizard indulging in the food. "Eat up, eat up! You must have starved at the Longhair Tribe. I knew that humans have a similar dietary structure to us — who would like to eat bitter caterpillars?"

Kamizuki, tearing a large chunk of lamb leg, looked up at the Flame Giant Lizard-man leader and asked, "Why does your tribe, on the other hand, enjoy roast meat so much?"

The Flame Giant Lizard-man leader chuckled and said, "The reason is rather simple, if we didn’t consume meat, we’d lack strength. I know you were wondering, but only small lizards eat bugs, big reptiles eat meat. On the other hand, the Longhair Tribe, they developed the weird habit of cooking bug dishes."

Ivita nodded in understanding.

Halfway through the Swamp Tribes’ Council feast, a tall and robust Lizardman warrior, wielding a wooden hammer studded with iron nails, stood up and said, "We are all glad to have the Great Lord visiting us today."

"Great Lord, I am the strongest warrior of our tribe, the Strong Lizard, and a nobleman of a Lizardmen swamp village. I think something is missing from our festive celebration today - a brawl. Great Lord, it’s a cultural tradition of ours to watch our warriors brawl over this feast. But our tribe leader said we cannot do this in front of you. Yet, I don’t feel comfortable with that."

The Strong Lizard stared at Ivita, "I mean no disrespect. But as our swamp-dwelling Great Lord, shouldn’t you respect our cultural tradition, instead of allowing our tribe leader to make excuses for you? I challenge you..."

The Flame Giant Lizard-man leader quickly glanced to gauge Ivita’s reaction. Upon seeing Ivita merely nodding and eating lamb without immediately getting angry, he breathed a sigh of relief.

He spoke unhappily to the Strong Lizard, "What nonsense are you spouting? This is a civilised feast, do not bring me embarrassment. Sit down... and furthermore, you are no match for the Great Lord..."

Ivita suddenly spoke, "Hmm, alright then. I accept your challenge."

The Flame Giant Lizard-man leader looked at Ivita in surprise.

While Ivita understood, she was indeed now the master of the Lizardmen race.

Otherwise, there would be no reason for their provocations against her.

However, while becoming the monarch of their race was easy, earning the respect of almost all the noble Lizardmen here was another matter. There were countless monarchs in this world that were not respected by their subjects.

Now it was time for her to show her strength to completely deter these land-owning Lizardmen nobles.

Fortunately, the swampy area was limited in size, and these Lizardmen only had low-ranking nobility. The feudal system was not well-established, so she didn’t have to make much effort.

Ivita raised a lotus leaf-lined water cup in her hand, dabbed some of the water inside, and flicked her finger. The droplet flew out and landed on the ground, slowly turning into a mutated Water Elemental.

Summoning a creature from Dragon Palace magic would normally drain a considerable amount of mana, especially since the source of the Dragon Palace magic was still located within Baron Moro’s territory.

But with her rising mana and level, such acts became faster and faster, with the only cost being a relatively larger amount of magical energy.

The move that Ivita had just displayed earned the respect of the Lizardmen nobles present.

They whispered and murmured among themselves.

"Just flicking a finger summons such a large monster, this Great Lord is truly impressive."

"I wonder about this water-like monster’s combat capabilities, though?"

"I saw one of those things before. Although the size and details were different, when I led thirty Lizardmen warriors to raid a village in Viscount Joseph’s territory, we came across a wizard. The wizard used a stream behind the village to summon two water elementals. Of course, it wasn’t as easy for him as it was for our Great Lord, he needed sacrifices."

"To be honest, the creatures don’t seem that powerful. At that time, I just poked it with a spear and it fell apart. It’s just intimidating to look at."

Hearing this, some of the Lizardmen who hadn’t seen a Water Elemental before couldn’t help but look disappointed.
