Chapter 592: Chapter 333: The Eastern Empire, the Eastern Witch Zinobia!_5
Ivita whispered, "The current Great Governor of Central Harbour—the theoretical leader of the pirate world—also bears this name."
Wind Bone Old Lady paused, muttering to herself, "Could it be such a coincidence? That sleazy mess of a boy has accomplished so much? No, should I say he’s as unsuccessful as this? He has actually become some sort of petty pirate."
Ivita rolled up the parchment and tucked it into his coat pocket.
"It might just be a coincidence. Let’s get going."
...
By the time Ivita returned to the Longhair Tribe, night had fallen. Seeing the tribe members exiting their treehouses with plates filled with colorful insect barbecue, Ivita suddenly felt as if he had entered the kingdom of bizarre cuisine!
The Dead Cow Wizard and Kamizuki, who had stayed behind, almost burst into tears when they saw Ivita.
They desperately wanted to escape this place.
The Dead Cow Wizard and Kamizuki mournfully watched Ivita, who had returned with Wind Bone Granny.
The Dead Cow Wizard was taken aback as he noticed Ivita’s already extravagant magic power had once again increased massively. His eyes nearly popped out of his head.
What was this man?
Was he even human anymore?
He must not be human.
No normal human wizard could nearly double their already terrifying magical power in such a short time.
Seeing Ivita settle down next to him, Kamizuki immediately said, "Master, I’m glad you’re back. Are we staying here for the night? Don’t we need to return the horses we borrowed at the edge of Viscount Joseph’s territory?"
"The innkeeper must be getting anxious."
Kamizuki looked at the three large bowls on the table filled with insect cuisine covered in unidentifiable sticky sauces, and almost vomited.
Yet the Barbaric Bone Tribe Leader nearby acted as though this was the best food they had, meant to honor their guests, leaving Kamizuki without an excuse not to eat.
Dead Cow Wizard secretly gave Kamizuki a thumbs-up.
He couldn’t stand it anymore either.
This must be the demon city of cuisine!
Ivita looked at both of them, smiling, "I’ve already discussed this with Wind Bone Granny. She will have someone from the Longhair Tribe return them. As the lord of both the swamp and Viscount Joseph’s territory, it’s only natural that we share resources from now on."
Kamizuki lit up. "What great news. Although the territories you command have been cobbled together, each one has its own strengths."
"Especially the swamp. Many pirates and viscounts consider it a major concern. They’ve gone to great lengths to prevent the Lizardmen and Longhair Tribe from raiding them. Little did they know that now you’re the lord."
Ivita nodded.
Indeed, these territories, in order to maintain their independence, surely have greater military might than viscounts and barons under the earls.
Therefore, under a similar level of civilization, newly unified regions would naturally have better military force than those long-unified.
Dead Cow Wizard held his head in despair and secretly glared at Kamizuki.
What is good about being here again?
We’re stuck here again.
The Barbaric Bone Tribe Leader perked up after hearing about Viscount Joseph’s territory. "You mean that grain-producing Viscount Joseph’s territory? Great, now that we’re one big family, the swamp people won’t starve to death every winter."
"We won’t have to steal food anymore."
Ivita gave him a side look.
He said nothing.
Indeed, this was the advantage of having unified territories.
Overjoyed, the Barbaric Bone Tribe Leader decided to treat his guests. "Come, eat. This sun-dried big green worm was prepared especially for you, roasted under the sun."
"Roasted alive..."
"The taste is excellent...it’s full of tender juices... Huh? Why do you two look like you’re about to vomit?"
Ivita chuckled at them, standing up to address the Barbaric Bone Tribe Leader, "Thank you for your hospitality. But now I must go to the Lizardmen. I am the Lord of the swamp, not one clan’s lord. If I only dine with one side tonight, it may upset the others."
The Barbaric Bone Clan Leader looked sour at the mention of the Lizardmen. "Those Lizardmen are not good people. You should take some servants with you, Lord Ivita."
"Ouch, who hit me?"
He turned around to find Wind Bone Old Lady swinging her pipe at his back, causing his ferocious face to immediately morph into fear.
The Barbaric Bone Tribe Leader protested, "Why did you hit me?"
Wind Bone Old Lady yelled at him, "Can anything you say distinguish you from an animal? Get lost!"
Barbaric Bone Tribe Leader was stunned.
Dead Cow Wizard and Kamizuki, hearing that they could leave, were ecstatic. However, their excitement didn’t last long. They suddenly wondered... what do lizards eat?
It seems like they eat bugs too...
What do Lizardmen eat?
Well...
