Chapter 457: Chapter 275: Completing the Complete Transformation Spell_1

On the fifth day of their journey, Ivita encountered a two-masted pirate ship in the early morning. Their fleet, as always, went straight for it, attempting to get within the optimal range to fire their Seize-ship Iron Claws and capture the enemy ship.

But to their surprise, the pirate ship turned tail and fled the moment they saw Ivita’s fleet.

Ten minutes later, Captain Sam entered Ivita’s cabin to report: "Boss, I’m sorry, we were not able to catch up with those pirates. It seems that whenever they see us, they run away immediately. They must have some kind of speed-enhancing components on their ship, which left us far behind."

"It seems they have heard of us."

"But I believe there are still plenty of smaller pirates in this area who haven’t."

Ivita nodded, and said to Captain Sam, "Then we don’t need to chase them. How far are we from the Transit Sea?"

Captain Sam thought for a moment, then said, "We’ll need two more days."

He was secretly amazed. Last time they were in these waters, they had to hide and be extremely cautious to avoid pirates. But now, as they sailed with Ivita, they actively approached every pirate ship they saw, hunting them down instead.

Usually, Ivita would leave about ten obedient pirates on the hunted ships to keep them operational as his fleet’s auxiliary vessels.

The rest of the extra pirates would simply be tossed into the sea.

When the remaining pirates saw Ivita’s strict measures, naturally they dared not to act rashly, let alone betray him easily.

Ivita manipulated the Magic Book of the Complete Transformation Spell: Eagle, and then said to him, "I see. You may leave now."

"Be on guard against any ship that suddenly approaches us; it could be from the Valji Family."

Captain Sam bowed his head and answered, "Yes, boss."

With the sound of the door closing, Ivita closed his Magic Book.

"I spent a day memorising all the spells in this Magic Book, but for a wizard to use the Complete Transformation Spell, regardless their talent, it usually takes several months to a few years of study."

"Yet every time I study a spell now, there’s a clear stream in my mind that helps me easily understand these spells."

"This must be the power of Taiyi Supreme God."

"I’ve basically learned this spell now."

Ivita drew a small array on the table using the blood of a falcon. The pattern was complex, starting with drawing a decagon, then a twenty-sided polygon on the basis of the decagon, then a thirty-sided polygon on the twenty-sided one, and so on up to a one-hundred-ninety-sided polygon. Then he connected all the corners of each polygon, creating a very intricate pattern.

In the process of this final step, a tremendous amount of spiritual power and a strong concentration ability were required. If one’s mind wandered even slightly, it could affect the success of the spell, and might even result in a great backlash.

This was the difficulty of the Complete Transformation Spell.

This special polygon was referred to by the witches as the Transformation Skill Polygon.

It seemed that this pattern was going to appear in many higher-level transformation spells in the future. This pattern was a fundamental pattern in spells.

Now, Ivita, with his sky attribute magic power providing microscopic-like precision in tracing, along with his strong spiritual and magic power, has drawn this array.

Then, he placed a falcon feather in the center of the array.

In that instant, the gray-white falcon’s feather levitated automatically, slightly rotating in mid-air. Each blood line drawn with bird blood in the array emitted a faint glow.

The whole array radiated mystery and the unknown.

Ivita chanted the spell to the array, and then he felt as if something was trying to crawl out from his skin. He also felt a disconnect between his body and the external world.

It was as if his skin had become a boundary line, preventing some kind of invisible external substance from breaking through this boundary to enter his body.

Ivita quickly realized that this was his body isolating the physical laws.

In other words, at this moment, the physical laws that filled the entire world, that governed the operation of the world, had disappeared from his body.

Instead, his inner magic power had become the substitute for the physical laws. This power circulated throughout his every cell, every inch of his skin, and Ivita began to feel himself rapidly shrinking, with gray bird feathers appearing on his skin.

"Did it work?"

"Ever since my advancement to an official wizard, it feels like my comprehension and learning speed for spells, especially under the enhancement of my sky attribute magic power, has improved immensely. The spells, which are basic enough that even a formal wizard could master, are as simple as drinking water to me."

"It takes others months, but I can accomplish it in a day."

Ivita’s body shrunk into the size of a bird. Interestingly, his transformation included his clothes as well.

That is to say, when he changes back to human form, his clothes will automatically return as well.

’Did my clothes turn into a part of my bird’s feathers? If I wear an iron armor, my eagle feathers will probably become harder.’ Ivita turned into a flapping bird, and flew into the air. He flew out the cabin door and passed a sailor who happened to be crossing the door of his cabin, startling the sailor.

Before the sailor could get a good look, the falcon that Ivita had transformed into flew out directly.

Ivita flew to the top of the ship and soared, overlooking his six-vessel fleet. At that moment, his vision was unlimitedly vast, and he experienced the feeling of flying in the sky.

From now on, he would not easily die from falling. Even if the ship crashed, as long as he becomes a falcon, he could fly above the sea, rest on the sea surface when tired, until he found land.

Ivita looked down from the sky and watched the sea surface. Because of human instinct, looking at the sea, he still felt a fear of wanting to jump down.

This fear was an automatic prevention mechanism made by human bodies, who are land-based creatures. Through the impulse of possibly jumping down at any time, it helped humans to stay away from areas of potential falling hazards.

But Ivita quickly overcame this basic instinct that remained in ordinary humans.

Because he could now become a falcon at any time, he was able to fly. So, under normal circumstances, he would never be in danger of falling to his death.

In that case, this instinct was a useless one.

As Ivita looked down from high in the sky, he suddenly noticed a huge shadow beneath his six ships.

The shadow looked like a giant... octopus.

A sea monster?

Noticing a humanoid figure swimming beside the giant octopus in the sea, Ivita realized someone might be deliberately attacking his fleet.

It seemed that the attack from the Valji Family had come so quickly.
