Chapter 415: Chapter 254: The Grafted Law! The mixed things on the boat!_2

After Vampire Wilson had finished reading the two pages of the sea log, Ivita watched Beard and his crew with a cold laugh. "Gentlemen, you seem to be in a great deal of trouble, aren’t you?"

"Could you tell me if you were infected by Gastrot and the child he brought, or was it due to the object you brought from Volcano Island?"

Beard was close to tears, "If I knew, I wouldn’t be in this predicament."

"Perhaps these two things are unrelated. There might be something I don’t know about on my ship, but this plague was definitely brought to us by Gastrot, the bringer of plague!"

He shifted his cunning eyes. "But you must help us, save us."

"If you save us, we’ll have many opportunities to repay you in the future. But if you don’t, we’ll jump onto your ship and infect you with our plague, making you like us."

Beard threatened, his small greedy eyes shone as they swiveled around, perhaps he had planned from the beginning to use this trick to drag Ivita and his crew down with them.

Beard rushed towards Ivita, "Get your two vampires to sail for us, back to Cross Island, or we’ll jump over and embrace you all, infecting everyone. We carry the virus..."

Before he could finish, Ivita threw a glass bottle at him, inside which was a parchment scroll.

Beard looked confused. "What is this?"

Ivita told him, "Oh, that? It’s your bill. I’m returning it to you."

This way, he was not involved with the Donation Order anymore.

Beard unrolled the scroll and as he and his pirates read it, they were instantly filled with rage.

How could it be that they were close to death due to illness, and yet someone dared to give them a money extorting order?

It was too much!

Wilson and Davina jumped back onto Ivita’s ship, while Ivita used The Fire of Law to burn their entire bodies.

Even so, Ivita had them temporarily move to the storeroom at the stern of the ship.

Meanwhile, seeing that Ivita intended to leave, Beard became enraged. "Don’t leave, I want you to stay and keep me company."

He wanted to jump over too, but a bolt of lightning from the sky forced him back to where he stood.

Ivita pulled out his compass from his pocket, noticing that the pointer had changed direction for the fourth time. He immediately ordered Captain Sam to change course.

Ivita said to Captain Beard, "This is what they call reaping what you sow, divine retribution. I won’t interfere. Good luck."

"Goodbye."

Captain Beard and the other pirates were left seething on their own ship’s deck, but because of the plague, they didn’t even have the strength to take Ivita down with them.

From the beginning, Ivita had never docked with them, maintaining a distance of more than ten meters.

Now it seemed, it was a wise decision.

So, for the moment, the pirates could only watch as the first people they had seen in weeks sailed away from them.

Looking at his blackened left palm and the Seven Seas Codex in his right hand, Captain Beard let out a furious yell.

"Damn it! Damn it! What kind of plague is this!"

...

After changing course, the female ranger Seville stood on the ship’s mast and said to Ivita, "Sir, there are muddy footprints on our deck."

Ivita and the Hearthstone Witch went up to the deck and indeed saw a muddy footprint slightly smaller than that of an average adult male.

The female ranger closed her eyes, trying to use her elf bloodline’s special sensing ability to find the owner of the footprint.

The female ranger said, "I can’t find any traces, but... but... our ship feels evil now. Something snuck onto our ship while we weren’t paying attention."

The Persopolis Knight said, "We must have stayed too long next to Beard’s ship just now. It might have jumped into the water and then climbed onto our deck."

"But where could it have gone?"

Ivita looked around but found nothing.

The Hearthstone Witch stared at the footprint for a long time, "From the power’s properties, it’s somewhat like the power of a demon."

Ivita’s eyes lit up, a demon?

He was not afraid of that.

There were already two demons entangled with him now, so what if there was another one!

Not to mention adding another one, even two more wouldn’t be a problem. They could play mahjong together.

The Hearthstone Witch said in a low voice, "The power of the demons is very strange, they can be invincible at the same level."

"I just don’t know if this demon at the same level can compare with..."

"But this is not the power of a demon."

The Hearthstone Witch concluded, telling Ivita, "Whatever sneaked onto our ship is likely the same thing that got onto Beard’s ship. From my years of experience with plagues, this thing is unrelated to this disease."

"But whatever it is that snuck onto our ship likely has something to do with the so-called island that was swallowed by the evil spirit during the Ancient Civilization Period."

"Your Opportunity Compass pointing at Beard’s pirate ship might be indicating that we are to bring the thing from their ship onto ours."
