Chapter 276: Chapter 184: Street Fight and the Rebirth of Boots Cat_1
Under the spiteful gaze of the chairman and the malicious looks from Kristin, Boots Cat arrived in front of Jenny and the Black Bear Man, Maximilian. Boots Cat said to Maximilian, "I certainly could steal some treasures for you, but they don’t belong to you."
"So, this method is not appropriate."
"But don’t worry, I will obtain a castle and gold coins for you legally, meow."
Black Bear Man Maximilian looked at him in confusion. "Kitty, how is this possible? If it were, you’d already be a cat adorned in gold and silver. You would probably have replaced your cloak with a golden one."
Jenny laughed softly in his arms.
Boots Cat coughed slightly. "Meow, simplicity is a virtue of elves."
"My master could be anyone, from princes and nobles, to fishmongers or woodcutter. If I were too well-dressed, I wouldn’t appear friendly, meow."
Boots Cat said, "In order to fulfill all the unrealistic demands your father-in-law is asking of you, I have to ask someone present for their assistance on your behalf."
"But it does not mean you will owe them. This is my request, I will be the one indebted."
Black Bear Man Maximilian turned serious and said to Boots Cat, "But if he helps me, I will also be grateful to him."
Boots Cat said, "That’s your business, meow."
"Cherish your lover, Maximilian."
With that, he handed his rapier to Maximilian.
The Black Bear Man held the rapier, looked at it, and then clenched the sword tight.
Green flames appeared in Boots Cat’s eyes, then extended out and crawled up Maximilian’s rapier. The handle of the rapier immediately turned to gold, the blade shone brightly, and within the green flames, the thin blade transformed into a broadsword.
Boots Cat said, "Maximilian, I told you the day would come one way or another. This is my last gift to you."
"Hold it, and you can protect those you love forever."
"You can call it—the Sword of Guardians."
Black Bear Man Maximilian held the sword, deep in thought, "Thank you."
The guests were all shocked at the sight.
Boots Cat’s power had started to transcend earthly rules.
Ivita was thinking more about how her Elf Cat had told her that only the Lamp God, King of Elf, could create something out of nothing.
What Boots Cat seemed to do was not creating something out of nothing but remaking ordinary things; this was already very close to creation.
What had Marco Anson, the King of the Seven Seas, and the fourth son of the Elliot Family, encountered with Boots Cat at sea that had granted Boots Cat such powerful magical power?
Was Boots Cat’s power approaching the power of the King of Elf?
Ivita looked at Boots Cat and contemplated. No wonder even Pan God’s face changed upon hearing the cemetery wanted to find Boots Cat.
Looking up, Ivita saw Boots Cat walking towards her to her surprise.
Ivita raised an eyebrow confusedly.
Boots Cat extended his right paw to Ivita, bowed, and said in a low voice, "Your Highness, I wish to borrow something of yours."
"May I?"
Ivita’s expression was odd, and realization dawned on her. Boots Cat knew her identity; his eyes seemed to uncover many hidden secrets.
Ivita said, "What is it? If it’s a reasonable request, I can lend it to you."
Boots Cat hesitated for a while, an apology flashing across his face. "I would like to, um, borrow your prince’s identity for half an hour."
"Just half an hour."
"I’d like to spend this half-hour standing in for you. But I promise on behalf of elves, I will absolutely not harm your interests. In fact, there may even be some benefits."
Ivita’s expression turned peculiar.
Borrow my identity as the crown prince of Alsace for half an hour?
Not harm my interests?
And even bring me some benefits?
What does he want to do in this half-hour?
Nonetheless, Ivita felt that being generous at this time was no big deal.
One must be broad-minded.
Not to mention, the identity of Crown Prince Alsace was currently of no use to her, but it might indeed provoke enemies.
Ivita nodded. "Okay, I agree to lend my identity to you."
Boots Cat’s expression brightened up immediately. His two ears, one black and one white, twitched. "You willingly lent me your identity without asking for any rewards. You are the most magnanimous noble I’ve ever seen."
"Alright, to show my gratitude for your generosity, after I become masterless, I can help you out with one small problem of my choosing—I will pick one crisis from amongst those you are currently facing, and solve it for you."
Ivita was pleasantly surprised.
She did not expect that her move to prevent the cemetery from contacting Boots Cat would actually gain her a favor from Boots Cat.
From the current situation, help from Boots Cat would undoubtedly be beneficially beneficial.
Next, Boots Cat said to Black Bear Man Maximilian, "I have to leave here for half an hour."
"Take care of your lovely Jenny."
Maximilian was a bit flustered seeing Boots Cat intending to leave, but still nodded his head in agreement.
Under the gaze of everyone, Boots Cat’s eyes turned green, and his whole body suddenly became a ball of green flames, which then contracted mid-air and vanished into thin air.
