The other evil spirits observed the whole scene and all focused on the nearly broken part of the salt circle.

However, just as they were about to concentrate an attack on that spot, the Spirit of the Tides, in the form of a Fishman, raised his right hand, and the trident disappeared from the outer side of the salt circle into thin air. It then reappeared in his hand and, he readied it to throw like a spear before hurling the Lightning Sword forth.

Another evil spirit disappeared in a burst of thunderfire.

Faced with the completed ritual and the Spirit of Tides born from it, the shadowy evil spirits backed off one after another. They had simply run out of time because the ritual was complete.

They could no longer kill the participants of the ritual.

The Dark Queen’s curse ended herein.

These shadows disappeared one by one in the courtyard’s lawn, as if they had never been here.

Ivita turned to look at the still blazing orange fire in the clusters of bonfire. "Why hasn’t this flame extinguished?"

The Hearthstone Witch said to Ivita, "This is Ritual Fire, it might take several days to extinguish."
