Chapter 1029: Chapter 525: 6 Sacred Wizards_2

Emperor Oyo III had no choice but to drop the subject. "Then, you may all return."

He looked toward Duke Gugel. "Tomorrow, join me along the Rhine River to pursue the troops of the Kingdom of Frank. We must obliterate them completely."

At this moment, Emperor Ayo III suddenly wore a strange expression and looked towards the six Sacred Wizards, who were turning to leave the palace. "He is here."

"Gentlemen, I command you in the capacity of the Emperor, halt your departure."

"Someone is about to attack the Emperor."

’Boom~’

A small black hole appeared on the roof of the Summer Palace’s main hall, sucking in all matter, and both Ivita and the Hearthstone Witch descended through the hole in the ceiling.

Emperor Oyo III raised an eyebrow at Ivita. "Lord Ivita, have you come to assassinate me?"

The six Sacred Wizards stopped in their tracks, looking toward Ivita and the Hearthstone Witch, who were shrouded in a mist of magic power.

Stepping out of the magic mist, Ivita said, "If I had wanted to assassinate you, I wouldn’t have made such a grand entrance. However, Emperor, the current issue is, among us, indeed who relishes in deploying spies and assassins."

On hearing Ivita mock him as a lowly person, Emperor Oyo III stood up abruptly, thoroughly enraged. He, who styled himself as the Knight Emperor, could not allow Ivita to insult his honor.

The Emperor valued honor above substantial benefit, reputation above his own authority.

Emperor Oyo III said to Ivita, "How dare you, Ivita, to call me a lowly person."

Ivita replied, "Is it not true? Have you not stuffed my court with all manner of riffraff?"

A guilty expression appeared on Oyo III’s face; he was really not good at lying, so even though he was willing to lie, he could not bring himself to do it.

He could only maintain his silence.

Ivita scanned the six Sacred Wizards. "I’ve heard that there were once thirteen wizards who arrogantly claimed to have mastered all the knowledge in the world. They thought they could control everything and were unsatisfied with their status as humans."

"The highest honors and praises could not satisfy their appetites."

"They were no longer content with their status as humans and sought to obtain divinity by challenging the God of All Things. They scorned the regular path to ascension and instead chose to challenge the God of All Things with forbidden knowledge."

The Sacred Wizards shuddered.

Ivita continued to expose their origins. "But, as expected, they failed. They didn’t even see the face of the God of All Things before they met their downfall."

"The price they paid for their failed attempt to transcend their human status was to become Guardians of the Empire, protecting the Empire for an endless span of time. But somehow, I feel that instead of protecting, you seem more intent on destroying the Empire."

"From what I’ve gathered, aside from your outright negligence, you hardly ever prevent any conspiracies against the Empire."

The Sacred Wizards looked toward Ivita.

"Be careful, Wizard King, we were once as vigorous as you, but do not be too credulous in your power and knowledge. The books you understand are nothing but nonsense from a group of people who are entirely ignorant about us; your understanding falls far from the truth."

The leader of the Sacred Wizards raised his right hand toward Ivita, making a warding-off gesture, and instantly an invisible wall materialized between him and Ivita, making it impossible for Ivita to take another step forward.

The leader of the Sacred Wizards looked at Ivita and said, "This is a necessary measure to prevent you from harming the Emperor."

Ivita assessed the opponent’s power, realizing that this wizard’s magical power was incredibly exaggerated. The opponent must have comprehended the Twilight Realm, plucked the Fruit of Magic, and reached the domain of the Queen.

But it seemed his Fruit of Magic was suppressed by an even more potent force.

Thus, in essence, he possessed only the realm of a Witch Marquis.

Yet behind him seemed to be the power of other realms; every time he used magic, Ivita’s Eye of the Demon could see a huge sacred gate appear behind him. The gate remained tightly shut, but just the sacred aura flowing from within formed a magical power surpassing that of more than a dozen Witch Marquis combined.

In other words, although he was not of the Witch Queen’s level as a wizard, he possessed a magical power not inferior to that of a Witch Queen.

However, it might be slightly weaker.

This was not their own power.

But the problem is, there are six of them.

Ivita sighed in her heart, worthy of the Empire, indeed holding the deepest heritage in the world, to a certain extent, the empires of the heretics could not compare with the Holy Empire in heritage and accumulation.

The leader of the Sacred Wizards continued to offer, "The Summer Palace enshrines the statues of the Honored Emperor Gods. The Emperor has the right to order them to attack you, even a slight intervention from them would cause you a lot of trouble, as they hold powerful Divine Power in the realm of the Way of Gods."

Emperor Oyo III, who had been a bit nervous, now relaxed and smiled, after all, he was still the Emperor of the Empire, even if he could not use these powers, he could still bluff with borrowed authority in the Summer Palace.

Oyo III said to Ivita, "This is what it means to be an Emperor. Now you know what imperial grace is like a prison. Tell me, what have you come to me for?"

The leader of the Sacred Wizards said, "But if you declare the Emperor illegitimate, then it would be a civil war. We and the Honored Emperor Gods will not assist either side."

Oyo III had just relaxed but immediately tensed up again, angrily saying to the leader of the Sacred Wizards, "Why are you telling him this!"

"This is an act of treason!"

The leader of the Sacred Wizards ignored the Emperor as if he were farting words.

Ivita looked at the Emperor with some sympathy.

The attitudes of various powerful forces within the Empire are quite consistent, lifting the Emperor high only to gently set him down.

The Emperor seems glorious, but he has many helplessnesses.

Ivita said to Oyo III, "Don’t you know why I came here?"

He keenly saw a moment of guilt fleeting in the Emperor’s eyes.

Oyo III said, "Hmm, I don’t know."

Duke Gugel said to Ivita, "Lord Ivita, we all have status. By coming here so rudely, do you intend to provoke a conflict between two nations!"

Ever since he was beaten up by Ivita the last time, Duke Gugel, though torn up like hemp, was not foolish enough to directly attack Ivita.

But with the Sacred Wizards there, he was not afraid of Ivita.

Ivita stared straight at Emperor Oyo III, who tried to look back at Ivita with feigned openness.

At the same time, the Hearthstone Witch suddenly spoke up to Oyo III, "A noble Emperor like yourself would certainly not lie. We have just experienced a heinous act, where a shameless person sent his despicable assassins to attack his allies, to attack his vassals’ ministers, and this shameless person does not even dare to admit his own actions."

Oyo III suddenly stood up, grabbed a golden cup beside him and hurled it at the Hearthstone Witch; an all-out blow from Duke Knight, the golden cup shot toward the Hearthstone Witch like a meteor. Even without Evil Qi, it was terrifying.

But three inches from the Hearthstone Witch, the Light Soul disintegrated it into atoms, after all, the golden cup did not contain any Evil Qi.

The Hearthstone Witch laughed out loud. "Your Highness, you seem too agitated. That despicable person is so vile, he can’t even admit to his own crime."

Duke Gugel quickly stepped forward, saying to the Hearthstone Witch, "Insolence, you lowly witch, how dare you speak to the Emperor of the Holy Empire in such a tone. Wizards, are you just going to watch your Emperor being slandered?"

The Sacred Wizards shrugged.

They really enjoyed the drama.

After all, doing the bare minimum and working hard are not the same.

Seeing no one taking his part, Duke Gugel buckled and changed his tone to the Hearthstone Witch, "If you continue to speak disrespectfully, I will tear you apart."

He thought he could at least beat the Hearthstone Witch and so had no qualms.

Duke Gugel said, "Let me speak for my brother, we don’t know anything!"

Oyo III suddenly spoke. "Yes, it was me."

He looked at Ivita very seriously and somewhat angrily. "I admit it."
