Chapter 679: Volume Nineteen: Lost Horizon Chapter Eight: Broken Net_2

This damned guy actually dares to use the Ritual of Blood Sacrifice to release his innate Magic Power Origin to strengthen this Demon-devouring soul attack, and just one glance was enough to tell that it wasn’t ordinary spiral-shaped black smoke, but rather a pagoda-like black cloud. Noyola knew that this time, the opponent really pulled out all the stops, ready for a desperate struggle.

The black clouds flashed over, dense sparks of electricity swirling around Noyola’s head covering the sky. Noyola didn’t dare underestimate these seemingly fine sparks; they were the lethal moves inside the Demon-devouring soul, materialized spots of Dark Magic Power meant to destroy the target’s Spiritual Power. If struck by these spots, one’s Spiritual Power would be severely damaged, and now, this Dark Force, catalyzed by the opponent’s Dark Origin, could almost be said to be unstoppable.

A series of gestures raised the Shield of Light in an attempt to block the assaulting sparks, but Noyola immediately realized it was futile. This power, originating from the Dark Origin, was something regular Light Power simply couldn’t withstand, unless the origin itself was broken, and otherwise, it would be endless.

"God of Light, your faithful believer hopes you grant Power, to forever confine the darkness and light to the corners of the heavenly realm!"

The brief yet clear words once reached Komer’s ears, Komer felt as if the boiling Magic Power throughout his body had suddenly been shackled, becoming tighter and tighter. The magic ropes that seemed to pierce straight into his core also suddenly restrained the Power he could once release at will, leaving him unable to initiate any attack.

Far to the side, Rebry knew this was the God-restricting Technique, a high-level Light Magic spell cast by Noyola. It was a radical solution that sealed the source of Komer’s Magic Power. Naturally, without this source, the Demon-devouring soul became like a tree without roots. Otherwise, relying solely on Light Magic to combat the Dark Magic Force spurred by the blood sacrifice would be quite difficult.

Without the support of powerful Magic Power, the Demon-devouring soul immediately began to weaken. The cluster of sparks dimmed instantly, allowing Noyola to breathe a sigh of relief. Three Shields of Light rose in succession, and although they couldn’t completely ward off the invasion of the Dark Origin Power, the greatly weakened Demon-devouring soul allowed Noyola to contend with it using his own strong Spiritual Power. Even if it meant depleting some of his own reserve Mana, he had to endure it.

No matter the Magic, it ultimately came down to a contest of ultimate strength. The dazzling array of spells was merely a form of expression after all, an unassailable truth—a truth that Noyola had comprehended completely twenty years earlier.

Desperate, Komer spewed out another mouthful of blood mist to strengthen his power, nearly exhausting all his energy. It was his final gamble, a do-or-die situation!

Komer certainly didn’t want to be taken down without a fight, but his opponent’s Power was just too overwhelming. With a formidable power like the Demon-devouring soul, which was on the verge of forbidden Magic, still being suppressed by such means, and the weakened Demon-devouring soul being counteracted with raw Spiritual Power, this was something Komer could not have imagined.

The enslaving ropes of Holy Light Power, tightened more and more around Komer, were burst open by this sudden eruption. The strong Dark Origin Magic Power that was unleashed, even the restricting Light Power, couldn’t fully endure. This was the ultimate move of a Magic Practitioner, and no one would willingly expend their Magic Power Origin for such a last-ditch burst unless absolutely necessary.

A surge of profound azure aura rose vehemently, blossoming in all directions. Noyola, somewhat puzzled, watched his opponent making this all-or-nothing move. The opponent suddenly abandoned the Dark Magic Power to undergo a conversion, and the level of danger of switching Power in such a situation was, needless to say, extremely high. The encompassing azure Magic breath immediately enveloped everything around; this was Star Magic? What was he trying to do?!

It was only when Noyola suddenly came to his senses at that moment, that he realized he and his opponent had reached the edge of the Magic Array. Damn it, did this guy want to perish together with him?!

"Lord Noyola, be careful!" The voice of Caru echoed from afar, but it seemed that it was already somewhat too late. The release of Star Magic by Komer instantly triggered the operation of the Magic Array. The sky turned silvery white in an instant, and then, in a flash, it became that clear, pure azure blue. A strong wave of a Magic Attack enveloped the entire surrounding area of the Magic Array without any warning.

"Retreat, Noyola! This is the Starry Sky Magic Matrix!" At this moment, Lorenzo had no time to worry about capturing the desperate Rebry. With Caru and Boritz there, Rebry couldn’t escape. The formidable Star Magic had already begun to turn, and within three zhang around the entire Magic Array, it was a hazy and confusing space. Anything trapped within had already lost the power to control itself, whether it be Komer or Noyola. The power of the Starry Sky Magic Matrix was enough to make all individual powers pale in comparison.

The massive pillars within the Magic Array were presenting a strange, blurry illusion as if the entire Magic Array itself was shaking. Noyola knew this was the enormous power of Star Magic causing space to display the phantom of a pre-rift mutation. A Spatial Rift was about to appear that would suck in everything nearby. He was now powerless to control his own body, as the formidable force held him tightly, pulling him continuously toward the center of the Magic Array.

"Lord Noyola, I’m really sorry, I didn’t expect to drag a big shot like you down with me before I met my end. Heh, I’m truly fortunate to have lived such a life, to be accompanied by the Great Chieftain of the Religious Court, I imagine our journey to the Different World Space will be quite lively, won’t it, Lord Noyola?"

A streak of bleakness swept across his calm face. At this point, Komer had given up all futile struggles. The irreversible attraction of the Magic Array was dragging his body deeper without any suspense. When Komer had desperately converted Magic Power to release Star Magic, he had already anticipated this outcome. Since there was no escape, it would be a life for a life, to see who was more ruthless!

One after another, ring-shaped voids continued to form in the center of the Magic Array, the deep and dark holes acting like gigantic magnets, constantly exerting a pulling force that was getting stronger and encompassed the entire Magic Array.

"Hahahaha, Lord Noyola, what are you waiting for? Come on, the Different World Space is beckoning us, let’s go!" A fierce laugh, filled with indescribable helplessness and despair. The eerie smile on Komer’s face brought to mind the bloody streaks behind a skeleton’s skin.

Noyola helplessly slid step by step towards the distance, his entire body’s strength utterly unable to resist the force of the void. It was a battle between human strength and heavenly power; clearly, he could not change this harsh reality.

After a millisecond of hesitation, Lorenzo was forced to make a painful decision. His Holy Angel Staff seemed to suddenly drain all the power from his body, leaving him exceedingly weak and frail, with wrinkles on his cheeks deepening all at once, as if he had aged several years suddenly. A halo began to rise slowly around the Holy Angel Staff, which was blooming with the dazzling multicolor light at its tip.

Like a massive rainbow bridge, it sprang from the tip of the Holy Angel Staff and spread directly towards the now silent center of the Magic Array, as if a bridge had been built over this distance.

A rare expression of gratitude flashed across Noyola’s face, and he surely knew what it was, Light Holy Passage!

This was entirely about using a Magic Practitioner’s lifeforce, the Saint Yuan Power, to build a Light Rainbow Bridge, utilizing the powerful Light Mana to break through all barriers, and crafting a bridge of escape, a lifeline from this world!

In the final moment, the Light Rainbow Bridge wrapped around Noyola, who almost tumbled out of the pull of the void, using several instantaneous drifting techniques to avoid the increasingly strong gravitational pull, his whole body drenched in cold sweat. It was a miraculous escape from the jaws of death, a narrow escape indeed. In Noyola’s entire life, facing such a calamity was rare, and in the past ten years, there had been none that made him reveal such a disgrace!

Rage and unwillingness nearly made Komer clench his teeth to pieces as he watched Noyola escape at the last moment. The resentment in Komer’s heart twisted his expressions grotesquely. But it was all in vain now, as the force of the void finally turned his body into a fleeting phantom, and in the midst of Lorenzo’s and Noyola’s regret, helplessness, and a trace of relief, Komer finally vanished into the endless void.
