Chapter 551: Volume 13: Sea Rain and Heavenly Wind Chapter 21: Picking Up
For the first time, Komer truly beheld the most bewitching characteristic of a female. It wasn’t that Tracy and Lome lacked such brilliance before, but compared to the naked woman before him, Tracy and Lome could only be described as petite and delicate.
His temples throbbed. Komer quietly circled the sleeping naked woman without making a sound, needing to confirm her identity. He had to risk moving her jade lotus root-like arms to carefully check below the woman’s ribs. Yes, it was indeed the Ice Dragon; although the wound below her ribs had healed on its own, the fresh tender red line proved that this area had suffered a recent severe injury, inflicted by Stari’s Sword Qi.
Her arms were not as cold as Komer had imagined but provided a comfortable sensation that was warm with a hint of coolness. It seemed the Dragon Saliva Fragrance indeed caused harm to the Ice Dragon, who had run all the way here before hiding and entering a state of dormancy. Komer could even distinctly smell the Dragon Saliva Fragrance in the mist emanating from her body, indicating she was using dormancy to neutralize the effect of the Dragon Saliva Fragrance.
Quietly crouching down, Komer was only three feet away from the body. Though the transformed Ice Dragon retained female characteristics, her stature was abnormally tall and alluring; Komer estimated she was at least a bit taller than himself, and he couldn’t help but sigh internally.
It was a pity she was a dragon, and although a true female dragon, she was still a dragon. He did not wish to experience the might of Dragon Power. A careless move and being drained to a husk were not outcomes he’d like to face with no help from heaven or earth.
Struggling to compose his roiling emotions, Komer tried to regard the body lying at his feet as an Ice Dragon rather than a naked woman. This not fully matured Ice Dragon must have transformed into this state after suffering injury from Stari’s Sword Qi and subsequent immersion in Dragon Saliva Fragrance. Komer didn’t know how long the Dragon Saliva Fragrance could keep the Ice Dragon asleep, but by the looks of it, she wouldn’t wake up anytime soon. What should he do with this Ice Dragon then?
Kill her, and take the treasures from her body? That would be too boring; to exert such violent methods on a dragon at one’s mercy would only prove one’s incompetence and cowardice. Then, subdue her? Easier said than done. A dragon is not human, and Psychic Magic wouldn’t stand a chance of erasing her memory, while the dragon’s unyielding nature was even harder to match by human standards. Subduing her would be extremely difficult, let alone having her submit to him. Komer couldn’t recall any precedent for such a feat.
Komer frantically searched through Kennifer III’s memories for a viable strategy. The term Soul Spell Talisman slowly emerged from the treasure trove of Kennifer III’s memories—a hybrid and mutated magic of curse magic and Psychic Magic, or rather, an imperfect research. The memories seemed to contain only fragments of incomplete accounts, with much speculation and guesswork, making Komer feel as if it were more of an unsuccessful experiment.
It appeared that Kennifer III had experimented on a foreign Demon Ape, but there were no records of the results in the memories. Komer didn’t dare to take it at face value; dragons were not Magical Beasts, and in case of a backlash, he might not even have a chance to resist.
Dark Imprisonment might temporarily restrict her Power, but the wisdom of the Dragon Clan should not be underestimated. Such Dark Magic might work for a while, but dragons could easily use their wisdom to find a way out. Once she broke free from the imprisonment, who then could control her?
Komer couldn’t help but sigh. To slay a dragon was something he was somewhat reluctant to do, and also seemed a great pity. If this Ice Dragon, who had taken human form, could be made to serve him, it would undoubtedly be an unimaginable asset. But how could he accomplish this? Komer pondered hard but could not come up with a method.
The sound of Rebry’s Magic summoning was already reaching them from a distance, and Solonberg’s sky-piercing Fighting Qi was faintly visible. Hayreddin’s pace wasn’t slow; the two arrived so quickly because they likely thought he was in great danger, not realizing he was facing such a thorny issue.
After some thought, Komer decided to first take care of the awkward treasure before him. Raising the Cosmic Bag, this interdimensional bag floated up and slowly sucked in the sleeping naked woman. Inside this interdimensional bag, she wouldn’t pose an immediate danger to Komer, but once the Ice Dragon woke up, he couldn’t be sure what would happen inside.
Upon approaching the area, Rebry smelled a familiar dragon breath, but Lord Komer acted as if nothing was amiss, claiming his senses were misfiring. A series of apologetic words failed to alleviate Rebry and Solonberg’s suspicions. With Komer unwilling to divulge more, they had no choice but to swallow their pride and head back. Solonberg might let it go, but Rebry wasn’t so easily deceived. The dragon breath didn’t dissipate with distance but followed them back to the Marta. This deepened Rebry’s suspicions even further.
