Chapter 447: Volume 9: Phantom of the Ancient Castle Chapter 7: Entering the Cocoon_2
Grasping the scepter firmly, Komer couldn’t help but give thanks for all the legacies left to him by Kennifer III. He was certain that Damarlinsk Castle was a secret legacy remaining from the remnants of the Dark Empire. The noble who suddenly became wealthy and chose this desolated Caucasus to build the castle must have done so after obtaining The treasures of the Dark Empire. The reason for their eventual decline, however, remained unknown.
Taking a deep breath, Komer tightened his grip on the scepter and gave it a gentle shake, causing the numerous tiny bells on the scepter to chime in a strange but pleasant clinking sound as he infused his magic power into it. The girl who had been sitting before Komer suddenly brightened her eyes and slowly lifted her head to meet Komer’s gaze.
"Merciful Lord, You will protect your faithful servant. Please appease the wounded heart of Your faithful servant!" Komer struggled to control his emotions, chanting the spell in a miraculous tone, trying to avoid stimulating the other’s thoughts. He needed to calm her mind, for only then would it be easier for him to cast his spells.
His gaze, steady as a torch, locked onto the girl who was trying to avoid his eyes. At this moment the girl wore nothing but a pitiful brassiere and shorts, her delicate collarbones exposed to the air, appearing so frail. Yet, the fullness beneath her brassiere proved that her body was not as weak as it seemed on the surface, giving off a somewhat enchanting allure.
At this time, Komer had no interest in admiring this tempting scene; all his energy was focused behind his eyes. Sweat slowly seeped from his forehead, but his gaze remained firmly locked on the girl. From her expression, it was clear she was still struggling. A few times her gaze almost broke free from Komer’s control but was suppressed under the strengthened chant of the spell and the peculiar sound emitted by the vibration of the black crystal staff.
Beads of sweat also began to cover the girl’s body, revealing her curves; her wet body under the halo of light seemed especially slippery and seductive. Her rapidly heaving chest was enough to captivate any onlooker, while her tender cheeks now showed an unusual pallor, as if she had endured an extremely difficult struggle. Her gaze began to relax, and eventually, she closed her eyes.
This process lasted close to an hour. When the girl eventually closed her eyes, Komer had reached the point of exhaustion, no longer able to maintain his seated meditation posture. As the girl closed her eyes, Komer could no longer control his body and slowly slumped to the ground, leaning over.
But this was not the time to herald the completion of the task. Although he had taken control of her mind, the hold was very weak. If there were any external influences, she could wake up at any moment. At such a time, if she were to awaken, everything Komer had done so far would be in vain, and this test subject could very likely go mad, becoming uncontrollable and even harming himself.
Suppressing the desire to sleep from sheer exhaustion, Komer took a deep breath and took out a stimulant he had prepared earlier from his pouch and consumed it. A cool and refreshing sensation quickly spread throughout his body, momentarily invigorating his spirits. Komer regained his seated meditation posture and shook the black crystal staff once more, causing the tinkling of the tiny bells to echo throughout the dark room. The girl, already in a slumber, twitched her eyelids but did not open her eyes.
Komer’s heart skipped a beat with hers. If she were to suddenly open her eyes, it would mean his experiment had failed and he would have to face the attack of an incapacitated master. Fortunately, she did as he hoped and only twitched her eyelids, remaining unopened, with everything proceeding along his predetermined course.
Chanting grew from soft to loud in the dark room, as Komer strengthened his mental control over the girl, who clearly had very powerful mental power and a strong will. In the upcoming questioning, it was inevitable that many taboo topics would touch on her inner limits, potentially causing a mental backlash. Without proper preparation, all might be lost, so Komer proceeded with caution.
Continuously shaking the black crystal staff in his hand to enhance his control, Komer also closely observed the changes in the girl’s expression as she sat with her eyes closed. The color of struggle on her face began to fade with the continuous interference of the crystal bell’s sound.
It was clear that the Light Mage was attempting a final resistance. However, bound by multiple dark elements, she possessed incredibly powerful light magic but was unable to unleash it. The Three dark shackles from Rebry were far from simple magic restraints. They bound the soul and constrained the mana, reducing both mental power and magic power to the lowest point. With Komer’s Magic power and mental power greatly enhanced by the black crystal staff, she had no chance of escape, inexorably sliding towards the Dark Abyss.
"Take off your brassiere," Komer ordered, to ensure complete control over her. It was a command that many would find unacceptable.
As expected, a flicker of panic mixed with embarrassment appeared on the girl’s face. Her hands reached for the straps of her brassiere but hesitated. Seeing this, Komer continued to shake the staff while strengthening his tone and reiterated his command. Eventually, the girl no longer hesitated; she undid the straps and removed her brassiere, revealing skin smooth as jade along with a face of closed-eyed contemplation, unspeakably eerie and enigmatic.
