The Vampire King's Possession -
Chapter 655. Over
Chapter 655: 655. Over
Jael watched Mauve as she snored softly next to him. She had finally slept. He hoped that was the last of it. He didn’t think he had ever had that much sex in such a short time in his life. His cock was sore, his muscles hurt, and he was sure he had bruises on his face.
He wasn’t complaining; he would do this another day in a heartbeat, he smirked to himself. He was, however, more concerned about Mauve. He was a vampire, which meant in a little less than an hour there would be hardly any trace of the day’s activities on him. Unfortunately, that couldn’t be said about Mauve. She would most likely have to spend the day in bed.
They hadn’t eaten anything the whole day. Breakfast was barely touched, and the only time she got a break was when she fell asleep. He never would have imagined it would be so intense.
He lightly touched the side of her face, brushing the hair off her face. Her skin was warm against his skin, and her cheeks still had color in them. She was lying on her side with her front facing him. The sheets were underneath her arm, which lay on her side, while the other was underneath her head.
Brushing the hair backwards revealed her neck, which was littered with marks. Jael swore he would have at least tried to control himself. By the marks on her body, he too was a little too excited, but it was hard to exercise restraint when she kept coming at him with such gusto.
Jael closed his eyes as flashes of the day ran through his memory. He never would have thought Mauve had any of that in her. He smirked as he recalled her several seduction attempts.
Jael’s eyes suddenly flew open as he remembered what he had done earlier. He touched his fangs, but they didn’t seem any different, and he found it weird that they had stopped itching as soon as he was done.
He looked at Mauve, peering at her neck where he had sunk his fangs in. They didn’t seem to be healing any differently. Mauve didn’t seem any different, and when he asked her about it, she had seemed unbothered.
Still, it was a little hard to process that she was pregnant with his child and now his mate, all in one day. He wondered how she would feel when she heard it. He wanted to tell her when she had asked what was wrong with her, but he wanted her to be in the right frame of mind. As soon as she woke up, he would inform her.
Jael kissed her forehead and moved closer to her. She groaned as his skin touched her but didn’t pull away. Jael doubted he would be able to get much sleep tonight, even though he was tired; he was excited, and that was enough to fill him up with energy.
Jael closed his eyes and tried to sleep, but he barely got a few hours of rest before the sunset, and his eyes flew open. Mauve was still fast asleep beside him. He lightly touched her face and kissed her gently before moving to an upright position and then throwing his legs out the side of the bed.
Jael got out of bed and got ready, and Mauve didn’t stir. After getting dressed, he walked to the bed and adjusted the covers around her before he pulled away, fighting the urge to give her another kiss. Jael made his way to the door, glanced back, and then slipped out of it.
Just as he stepped out, Mill could be seen rushing up the stairs. He had called for her. She got to the top of the stairs and bowed when she caught sight of him. "Sire," she called and rushed forward. "You called for me?" She stopped in front of him and kept her gaze locked to the floor.
"Mill," he started to speak. "Keep an eye out for Mauve. She is currently and would mostly remain so until midnight. Don’t bother her, and when she wakes up, let me know."
Mill nodded. "At once, Sire. How is she?" Mill asked with a worried expression on her face.
"She should be fine," he replied.
"Okay, I will be sure to let you know as soon as something is up."
Jael turned away from her without another word and headed for his study. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to join Mauve during the first meal or if he would have to eat before she woke up. Jael frowned as he stopped in front of his study. Someone was in there, someone he didn’t want to deal with.
He contemplated turning around and leaving, but the door was thrown open as if Louis realized he was about to leave. "Sire," Louis said with a stern gaze as he held the door open. "A word, please." His expression changed as he looked at Jael.
"I suppose it wouldn’t hurt. This better be important," he mumbled and walked into the study.
His feelings towards Louis hadn’t exactly changed. He still wanted him out of the castle. However, he knew he wouldn’t be standing here if it wasn’t for him. As much as the current situation annoyed him, he could bear it. Another thing was that Mauve seemed to like Louis a lot. It irked him, but he knew he wouldn’t have to worry about Mauve if Louis was with her.
Jael walked to his desk and dropped into his seat, folding his hands and leaning back. He looked up at Louis, who was standing right in front of his desk. "Now that you have my attention, you better spill what this is about. I don’t have all day."
"What is going on?" Louis asked.
"Nothing," Jael said without missing a beat.
"Don’t give me that; you were practically locked up and unreachable. I doubt that happened because of nothing."
