Chapter 290. Taunting Me

Chapter 290: 290. Taunting Me

"In about forty-five minutes," Mill said.

Jael smirked, "That should be enough time. You may leave, Mill." He ordered.

"Thank you, Sire," she said with a bow. "I will be right back with more water and another bath.

"There is no need for that," Jael replied. "Just more water should be fine."

"Yes, Sire." Raising her head, she glanced at Mauve before turning away, she left the room with the servant at her heel.

"Enough time?" Mauve asked, turning her entire frame as she sat on the bed to look at Jael. "For what?" She asked innocently, her bright eyes looking down at him lying on the bed.

Jael smirked, "I am sure you can take a guess." He turned his gaze away from the door to look at her.

Mauve blushed and turned away from him, "No, I can’t," she whispered.

Jael pushed himself to a sitting position, and leaning closer he said, "It’s the least you can do considering you’ve been enabling every interruption."

"I haven’t been doing that," she cried out.

"I would say otherwise, Mauve." He replied and pulled her to him.

She fell onto his chest and scooted closer to be comfortable. He put his hand around her, wrapping her as he pressed her even closer to himself.

"How did it go with Yasmin?" Jael asked.

Mauve bit her lips, unsure of how to tell him she had lied. She doubted he would be pleased with that. "It was fine," she lied. The words felt tight as they went past her throat.

"Is that so?" His voice held disbelief.

She nodded, hiding her face away from him, one look on her face and he would know she was lying.

"Let me see what you have done then," he casually announced.

Mauve raised her head from his chest, pulling back sharply, a look of horror pasted on her face. "I-I can’t show you until it’s done."

He squinted his eyes as though he didn’t trust her words but just before he could say anything, a soft knock interrupted.

Jawl glanced away from her to the door, "Come in," he said.

The handle turned and the door flew open, Mill walked in with a huge bowl of water. Mauve blinked wondering how she could open the door while holding the huge bowl of water.

She walked briskly and placed it in the corner, she turned her front toward the direction of the bed, made a quick bow, and left the room in a hurry without saying a word to Mauve.

"Undress yourself," Jael suddenly said.

’What?" Mauve cried out, whipping her head around as she turned her gaze from the door to him.

"If you don’t hurry up, we will be late for the last meal. If you’d prefer to eat here, that can be arranged." Jael smirked as he looked into her eyes.

"I usually have Mill help me out of my clothes," she said and looked away from him, her gaze to the floor.

"I know, I will undo the ropes for you but you absolutely have to take the dress off yourself."

"Wouldn’t it be faster if you helped me?" She asked, still looking away from him.

"I’d say we are past the point where you’d be shy to undress in front of me." He leaned back on his hands as he stared at her, as if getting ready for the show.

"I’m not shy," she said stubbornly, jerking her head in his direction to glare at him.

"Well then, get to it." He gestured with his head. "The faster you can undress the faster we can take a bath."

"We?" She asked, feigning surprise.

"I thought that was obvious and stalling won’t get you out of this situation, Mauve. It will only prolong the inevitable."

He lifted his hand to her face and his fingers drew a line all the way to her neck. As his cold fingers teased her warm skin, Mauve found herself growing warmer.

His blue eyes glowed in the low-lit room and Mauve felt a tingle on her skin. Suddenly, she felt brave enough to take her clothes off. Maybe it was how he stared at her as if he could barely hold himself back.

She wondered if she could make him lose control even more. He wanted a show right, she would make sure she gave him one he didn’t forget in a hurry.

As the thought ran through her head, Mauve blushed and immediately looked to her feet, afraid he might read her thoughts from the expression on her face.

She pulled away from him and slowly stood to her feet. She walked closer to him as he sat on the bed with his legs apart. Standing between his legs, she pulled closer and then she slowly turned around, showing her back.

He undid the ropes quickly and Mauve felt the dress start to fall off her shoulders. "Done," he announced and pulled his hand away from her back.

She slowly turned around, taking her time as she pulled the dress further down her shoulders. She stopped when her dress sleeves were completely off her shoulders.

It didn’t fall and with the dress barely hanging onto her bosom, she bent forward, revealing a significant amount of cleavage.

Mauve felt all her blood pour to her face at the thought of what she was about to do. She reached past the end of her dress and lifted it slightly.

She then stretched her hand underneath her dress and without revealing too much she grabbed the waistline of her undergarments and pulled it down to her legs.

They fell to the floor, alongside her dress, and standing to her full height she stepped out of her undergarments.

"You’re taunting me, Mauve," Jael said, his eyes glowing.

"I have no idea what you’re talking about," she said with a sheepish smile.

Her cheeks were the color of a red rose in full bloom and she kept her gaze to the ground as she spoke, unable to meet his eyes.

"I was going to wait until the bath but there is no rule that says I can’t take you right now, right here."
