The Vampire King's Possession
Chapter 232. Sabrina’s Plot

Chapter 232: 232. Sabrina’s Plot

Lady Sabrina sighed, "You’re just like your cousin." She said and rose to her feet to leave.

"Wait," Erick suddenly called out. "How could you possibly help?"

Lady Sabrina stopped with her back to Erick and she smirked, her plan worked. She straightened her face and turned around to look at Erick. "As I said, I can’t help if you don’t tell me."

"What would you like to know?" Erick asked with a glare.

"You don’t have to look at me like I am the enemy." Lady Sabrina replied and took a seat. "We are on the same page. First off, did The King really chase her off?"

"Yes," Erick replied and sat down.

"I guess I was right."

"How did you know? I don’t see Jevera telling you and the other vampires aware aren’t the type to give such information away. I had to ask the King myself to confirm."

"A hunch."

"A hunch? What do you mean, a hunch?"

"Well, I don’t see Jevera leaving the castle at such a delicate point unless something is wrong with Lord Levaton and if that was the case, I would have heard about it."

"That’s not enough reason to think she is not coming back. She has left before and she returned."

"But that is not the case, is it?" Lady Sabrina said with a knowing look. "If it was, you wouldn’t have listened to a thing I said."

"Enough with your hunches, you said you could help, I don’t see how you can do that."

"If she had taken my words seriously, she could have at least seen this coming but she kept being adamant that The King couldn’t possibly pick a human as his mate."

"What do you propose? We can’t exactly get rid of her. Aside from the fact that she is a major aspect of the treaty and a princess, The King fancies her. I don’t propose we do that."

"I don’t propose we do that," Lady Sabrina said with a frown. She did not expect this but Erick thought the human was a threat enough to want to get rid of her.

"I did not say we should."

"Be nice to her," Lady Sabrina responded.

"What? How does that solve anything?"

"We can help her escape the castle but to do that, she needs to trust you. I can tell she doesn’t."

"Escape? That’s your plan?! Does anything about her say she wants to leave? Are you delusional?"

"She’s human, there is no way she would not want to leave. I’ve encountered enough to know that they will be more than happy to return home."

"Only because the ones you have seen were blood slaves who were kidnapped from their homes, this is not the same situation."

"You wouldn’t know, would you? Did she seem happy to leave? Does she seem happy here? She can’t even go out, I’m sure compared to what she is used to, this is completely different..."

"Shut up!" Erick said and banged his hand on the table.

Lady Sabrina jumped slightly at the unexpected reaction. She leaned back to get out of his reach.

"I should have known you didn’t have anything good to offer. Escape to where? Why? How? How does that solve the situation? Do you think we can do something like that without The King catching wind of this? What a waste of my time!"

He banged the table again and Sabrina jumped. He stood to his feet, turned away from her, and walked to the door, not caring that the seat had fallen to the ground.

Lady Sabrina didn’t even flinch at the loud sound of the door closing. Of course, the vagabond had reacted in that manner, she didn’t expect less.

Lady Sabrina flipped her hair and chuckled. She had no plan to help and she was surprised Erick had bought her offer to help for as long as he did.

It was long enough to confirm the two things she wanted to know. One was the king chasing off Jevera and the second was how much of a threat the human was and from the look of things even Erick feared she might become the King’s mate.

If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have listened to her offer to help. He wasn’t completely aware of their situation

Sabrina covered her face with her right palm as she fought the urge to laugh. Her lips broke into a creepy smile, revealing white teeth. She kept her palm over her face as her shoulder shook in laughter.

Jevera lost to a human, she couldn’t ask for a better situation. She didn’t care who the King ended up with as long as it wasn’t Jevera.

The bitch was always a step ahead of her. Moving into the Castle at The King and Queen’s death just so she’d have an advantage. Whoring herself out to him and she had the audacity to look down on her. Served her right.

Sabrina’s shoulder subsided and she slowly rose to her feet. She slowly walked to the door still smiling, it was hard to hide her excitement.

The King would have to choose a vampire as a mate but there was no explicit rule that said it couldn’t be a human, it has just never happened. He was King, he could do whatever he wanted even though it was bound to piss off a lot of Lords.

There was still the chance that he might not. However, she was sure it couldn’t be Jevera now, there was a higher chance he would pick a random female vampire and she was fine with that.

However, now that she was in the castle without the meddling Jevera. She could do as she liked and at this point, befriending the human was a good plan. She might become the King’s mate one day, she must make sure they were on good terms.

She would start slow, no need to startle the poor girl. She had time; if her father had his way he would stay here as long as possible in an attempt to get The King to notice her, after all, that was why she was here instead of her mother.

She didn’t regret it, she had asked to tag along for selfish reasons. Who would have known that things were already playing out in her favor?
