Chapter 306: A Good Show
The next day, Raine and Nathan continued to enjoy the rest of the things still available for them to do on the cruise ship. They enjoyed eating breakfast outside, trying out all the available amenities the ship had to offer for as long as they could. They also did some scuba diving together.
It wasn’t her first time diving deep into the ocean, but that kind of diving was quite different especially when she was on a mission to hunt for dangerous supernatural creatures. She didn’t have the time to enjoy the beauty of the deep ocean back then. As such, this was technically Raine’s first time watching and seeing sea creatures up close in deep waters like this.
They were just so beautiful, and she felt like she was a mermaid while doing so, intermingling with all of the beautiful creatures found in the ocean. They also had plenty of time to take pictures together.
Soon, however, their scuba diving session ended, and the couple promptly had their dinner in the finest restaurant on the cruise ship with live serenade music.
"I’m glad your appetite’s better now," Nathan commented with a smile as he cut through her steak.
"Hmm, I guess I’m just past the critical stage of it," she commented. "I’m no longer nauseous as well, and with it, the vomiting spells disappeared. The only thing that remains is that I’m often more sleepy than usual, I suppose."
Nathan nodded as they continued to eat well. Soon, some of the guests inside the restaurant stood up and started dancing to the sweet melody of the song being played. The lights on the center stage of the restaurant dimmed as well, giving out the mood perfect for a slow and romantic dance.
Seeing the opportunity, Nathan stood up and offered his hand to her. "Would you like to have a dance with me, milady?"
Raine giggled as she accepted his hand. "Of course," she smiled. "This is one opportunity I shouldn’t miss for the world."
Hand in hand, they went to the dance floor. Nathan pulled her in closer, while Raine possessively wrapped her arms up and around his neck.
"Do you still remember the first time we met?" Raine whispered as she rested her head on his chest. "I stripped before your eyes and danced on you back then..."
"Technically, that’s not the first time I met you though..." Nathan confessed, making Raine tilt her head up to stare at him, her brows furrowed in confusion.
"Ah, you mean back during the eradication when I was seven?" Raine recalled.
"Yup. Then for the second time back when you’re fourteen. The third when you were twenty-one before meeting you again at the strip club," Nathan playfully informed her, making the lines on her forehead deepen with each factoid.
"You’ve been stalking me all this time?" Raine questioned.
Nathan nodded with a chuckle. "Ever since that day you saved me, you’ve never left my mind, Raine. I’ve set myself for revenge against Marcus, but that didn’t stop me from dreaming about you whenever I could," Nathan confessed.
"Although, I only recognized you as my mate by the third time that I saw you. You were twenty-one at the time and were running after a witch. Do you remember the collision that happened on the street that day? I was the one driving that motorcycle."
"You’re the motorcycle guy?" Raine mumbled out with wide eyes. That collision had made it easier for her to catch that witch at the time. "How come you’re only telling me this now?"
"It only came up now, I suppose," he sheepishly chuckled.
A teasing smile curved into her beautiful lips as she mumbled, "You’re such a stalker, Darling."
From the lights, she could see Nathan’s face reddening with each passing second. It was no wonder then that he didn’t mention it to her before. She would’ve definitely teased him for it nonstop if she knew about it earlier.
"I guess you wouldn’t mind me teasing you nonstop then, seeing as you’ve already confessed how much you’ve been stalking me..." Raine chortled.
Nathan chuckled as he leaned closer till their noses touched. Giving her a kiss, he murmured, "I wouldn’t mind confessing how head over heels I am with my wife at all."
Drifting across the dance floor, they were the only ones hugging each other tightly while swaying in the slow music, not minding their surroundings one bit as the others gave them a wide berth.
"I’ve been missing it," Nathan suddenly whispered into her ear.
"What?" she asked.
"You strip teasing for me," he explained. "It would be nice for my wife to give me a full show again later when we’re alone. What do you say?"
"Let me think about it," Raine chuckled. "It’ll depend on whether or not you win against me later though."
"What do you mean?"
"I want to play a game with you," Raine challenged. "Table tennis will do. Do you know how to play it?"
"Are you looking down on me, my sweet vixen?" Nathan scoffed. "That’s way too easy as a game, but wouldn’t it be a bit exhausting? It’s already enough that I’ve been exhausting you in bed. How about we play something that won’t use our bodies?" he suggested instead. "Chess, perhaps?"
Raine chuckled, seeing her husband’s point. Nodding, she simply agreed with him and said, "If you lose, you do the strip teasing later, alright?"
"Hmm, alright," he chuckled. "Don’t blame me if you end up not enjoying the show though."
And with those words, Raine only became even more eager to win against Nathan. Already, she was wondering how her husband would do a strip tease, and she was so impatient that started pulling him out of the dance floor and back to their seats.
"Let me just finish one course of dessert," she excitedly said. "After this, let’s start playing on our balcony."
"What about our broadway watching then?" Nathan reminded.
"Nah, that can wait," Raine scoffed. "Right now, seeing you strip dancing is more important."
Nathan laughed, "Are you even sure you can win against me?"
"Hah, just wait and see," Raine confidently smirked. "You’ll end up giving me a good show anyway, and I’ll ditch the broadway show willingly if I could see it..."
Raine had a wide grin as she winked at her husband, who simply shook his head at her as he chuckled. "Go and finish your dessert now."
"I’m almost done," Raine beamed. "Let’s do first to three rounds, okay?"
"Alright, my sweet vixen," Nathan nodded at the deal. "Don’t rush through and enjoy your dessert first though. It’s not like we’re running out of time. We still have plenty more to enjoy ourselves."
Raine had a pout as she mumbled, "But I’m too excited to start right now and see you do it. So hurry up and let’s go."
