Chapter 299: Surprise

The wedding ceremony itself was very serene and solemn setting. Things went smoothly, and it shortly ended with a breathtaking kiss from the newlywed couple. As was traditionally expected of him, Nathan quickly carried his bride inside the mansion, leaving all of their guests behind to be attended by their Aunt Ester with the help of Davin, Lyne, Mia, and Levi.

Reaching the mansion proper, Nathan didn’t bother walking to their bedroom. Instead, he went inside the elevator and made their way to the rooftop.

Noticing their peculiar destination, Raine creased her forehead as she asked, "Where are we going?"

"To our honeymoon?" Nathan answered with a naughty smile.

If there was anything Raine didn’t expect to hear, it was those exact words that just came out of his mouth. She was about to inquire further, but the loud whittling of the chopper’s blades quickly filled her ears as Nathan walked towards the helipad and placed her on the seat inside, buckling her to safety.

Letting him care for her, she remained quiet as she simply observed what was happening in the helicopter. There were a few preparations that happened, but over all, it all looked to be standard fare for a helicopter ride.

Once everything was settled, Nathan sat beside her, his hand waving out as he signaled their pilot to move.

[Where exactly are we going?"] Raine telepathically inquired.

In response, Nathan gently squeezed her hand as he replied, [You’ll see...]

Taking his word for it, the anticipation of their destination was killing her. Still, Raine patiently waited as she rested her head on Nathan’s shoulder. If they were going somewhere great, then she’d just have to trust him.

Soon enough, their helicopter landed at a helipad of a luxury cruise ship. Raine was still in shock as she moved to disembark, but Nathan didn’t even let her walk as he carried her all the way from the helicopter to the inside of the ship.

"I didn’t expect this," Raine murmured with a pout as they followed a butler that guided them to their suite. As soon as they were situated, Nathan immediately dismissed the butler, gently putting Raine down as he gave her a loving smile.

Looking around, she excitedly skimmed through their spacious room. Just from a glance, it looked like it was made to act as a small home with complete amenities. They even had an infinity pool and jacuzzi inside, along with a view of the ocean from their own balcony. Turning around, she looked at Nathan, who simply lovingly stared and observed her every move.

"Surprise..." he murmured, showing his perfect white teeth with his roguish smile.

It was... It was too much. A while ago, she didn’t even expect a thing to happen between them beyond their usual bedroom activities... She was even thinking about how to coax Nathan into letting her go on her planned trip while they did the deed, using the occasion to soften him up to the prospect of letting her go where she wanted. Instead, she got... all of this...

"This is... I didn’t expect this," Raine honestly replied, her tears starting to return as unbridled happenings threatened to overwhelm her. "I was more than ready for us to just hole up in our bedroom and go at it like crazy."

"We can do that too if you want to, you know," Nathan smiled warmly at him. "Just because we’re currently on a luxury cruise doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy each other’s company."

All of a sudden, Raine felt as if a floodgate of lust and arousal was washing over her. Through the Mate Bond, she could feel Nathan’s raw love and want for her almost overpowering her own, her core already responding in kind as she found herself walking up to him.

"Well, if you put it that way, why don’t we consummate our marriage first?" Raine teasingly smiled. "I don’t know how many days we have on this cruise ship, but I’m more than ready to leave our mark on this suite."

The two stared at one another with love and longing twinkling in their eyes. A beat passed, and the silent tension between them bubbled and simmered before it finally burst, Nathan, taking the lead as their lips made contact with one another.

"Mhmm..." Raine hummed as she relished her husband’s lips. "I love you so much..."

"I love you too, my sweet vixen," Nathan responded in kind, his hands already moving to undress her from her gown. "I’ll make sure to make this night into something we won’t ever forget."

Nodding, Raine felt herself getting carried all the way to the suite’s queen-sized bed. All the while, their lips never parted from one another, their hands still busy feeling one another up as the heat building between them threatened to explode.

"Ugh... How attached are you to your gown right now?" Nathan growled out, his impatience clear as day as he pinned her down on the bed.

"Very much so," Raine giggled, her blush already spreading to other parts of her body as she moved her hands to help undress. "I’d appreciate it if you didn’t destroy it."

Grunting, Nathan partly let up his advance, focusing more on helping Raine get out of her wedding gown. Soon enough, she was naked in front of him in all of her glory, the only garments she still had was her wedding hose, which, quite honestly, only made her more appealing in his eyes. Besides, it wasn’t like the thing was preventing his access to her most sacred of places. No... He could work with this.

"Really, now? Not even going to take off my wedding hose?" Raine teased,

"It suits your current role as a newly-wedded wife," Nathan smiled. "Isn’t there a tradition where the groom uses their teeth to remove it from their wife’s legs?"

"That’s for the wedding garter," Raine chuckled, her hands running through her legs as she lingered on the white lacy garment. "But if you insist, then maybe we can do that as well."

Raine could only smile in anticipation as Nathan smirked at her suggestion. "Don’t mind if I do then."
