Chapter 192: We succeeded
Mr. Long quickly dialed his Boss’s number. With fear in his heart, he gulped down his fears while hearing the instructions from his Boss, Yun.
"Kill that bit*ch if she insists on taking Yera with her! I will rule the Moon Clan after this, so don’t hesitate in even killing her!" his Boss screamed, his voice almost cracking open his eardrums.
"I’m sorry, Princess, but Prince Yun said that you should back off or else..." Mr. Long trailed off as he pocketed his phone. He gave his armed men inside the room a knowing look, giving them a shoot-to-kill instruction for the intruder.
Hearing his words, Raine straightened her back before turning her head to Yera as she whispered, "Dear... do you think you can close your eyes for just a minute or two? Watching the next scene won’t be good for your baby. Your husband, the Dr. CEO, not to mention his best friend, will surely kill me if he ever finds out that I let you watch such a gruesome scene live..." She even winked at her as she added, "Still, I’ll try to make it less gruesome for you."
Before she could even reply, Yera’s lips parted in awe as she watched what happened next with wide open eyes.
As soon as Raine gave her another wink, a small knife was thrown towards one of the men standing on her left side, hitting him directly on the forehead. He died at that instant.
At the sound of the body hitting the ground, all the men began attacking Raine in unison, left and right, using their fists to hit her. However, none of them were skilled enough to even manage to land a hit on her down. They all were losing against her.
It was then that they were reminded that they were all armed.
Pointing their guns at Raine, they pulled the trigger and tried gunning her down. But as the devil that she was, she grabbed the nearest man she could find and used his body as a shield.
Raine pulled the gun away from the man’s hands and then used it to shoot at the others. Yera felt as if her head was spinning around, not to mention the sound of each shot ringing loudly inside the room...
*Bang * Bang * Bang.
Yera felt like she was watching a superhero movie.... No! It was more like she was inside a movie, being rescued by some superhero woman. She was as flexible as elastic rubber and moved as fast as lightning. She never thought that a woman could even do these types of movements as swiftly as Raine was doing it in real life.
Almost all of the men had been taken down by her all alone. And with the fear of getting killed by the princess to save himself, Yera saw the old fat man come running towards her and pointing a gun at her temple.
’Oh my God!’ Yera realized how serious the situation was when she felt the coldness of the metal sit on her temple. Hearing a click from the gun, she knew that one more inch of movement from Long would lead to her brain exploding into tiny pieces.
"Princess Raine! Stop where you are!" Long shouted at the woman, who finally threw her bullet-riddled meatshield on the floor.
Raine, who still had that lollipop rolling inside her mouth, had a naughty smile carved onto her beautiful face as she rolled her eyes. With her gun pointed at Long, she said, "You chose to follow orders from my uncle rather than me though. So tell me old fatty Long... Do I need to spare your life?"
"You want her, right? If you move any closer to me, then I’ll blow her brains out," Long threatened as his hand trembled. He was aware of how capable Princess Raine was. She was rightly termed as the Devil by their fellow clansmen.
It was right then and there that the door opened. Looking at the new arrival, Long let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Dalgon barging inside the room with a gun pointed at Raine.
"What took you so long?" Long hissed at Dalgon.
"Put down your gun, Princess," Dalgon instructed, making Raine raise both of her arms with a smirk.
Seeing that, Long relaxed, removing the gun that he was pointing at Yera.
"Wrong move, old fatty Long," Raine whispered.
With a swift motion, she shot Long straight at the center of his forehead. Yera’s eyes widened when she felt Long’s body fall on her back.
"Yikes... Quickly, move that bastard away from Yera!" Raine instructed Dalgon, who was clever enough to change sides with her some time during the last few weeks.
Dalgon moved quickly, releasing Yera from her bindings. Raine then grabbed her new lackey’s mobile and quickly dialed Chad’s number for a video call, giving it to Yera as he continued addressing her man. "How many of my uncle’s men are outside?"
"About thirty men, more or less," Dalgon reported.
"How about the military?" she questioned.
"They have already penetrated their defenses," Dalgon confirmed.
Raine looked at Yera and instructed the latter what she needed to do to make sure her husband would win the case. She then watched the woman talk on the mobile, making her let out another sigh of relief.
There was a smile on her face as she dialed Tyrone’s number. "Proceed as planned, Tyrone. It’s over... We succeeded," she whispered with a satisfied smile still lingering on her lips.
"Alright, I’ll take care of matters from here," Tyrone replied from the other line. "After this, I’ll just meet with someone and head straight back to you. I love you."
For some reason, tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks. She could barely control her sobs, her eyes welling up with emotion.
"What’s wrong? Are you crying?" Tyrone asked with a worried tone.
"Ah, these are just tears of joy, Tyrone. Thank you for everything and all the help that you’ve given," Raine sniveled. "You’ve done so much... Good work, I have to go now. I still have a lot of things to fix on my end."
Quickly ending the call, she could still hear the end call beeping tone with the phone in her ear. Listlessly, she whispered, "And I love you too, Tyrone. I’ll keep you safe no matter what."
She had already arranged everything for Tyrone. She left him a note... A text message that she scheduled to go off once they started attacking the Convel Society.
