Chapter 78: Leaving The Ocean Floor

One week later...
Ding!
[Congratulations on your recovery! Not only has your body fully healed, but you’ve also triggered a significant boost: your Strength and Agility stats have each increased by 40 points, enhancing your overall physical power.]
[STR: 1541 >> 1581]
[AGI: 1358 >> 1398]
Thanks to my Infinite Regeneration skill, now at Level 4, I no longer have to endure the long waits of weeks or even months to fully recover. The process has been drastically shortened, and now, in just about a week, I can fully restore my body to its peak condition.
With that said, the time has finally arrived. I’m ready to leave this place behind and attain my freedom. The thought of stepping out into the outside world again, feeling the warmth of the sun and breathing in fresh air, fills me with excitement. Ah, I can hardly wait.
Alright, let’s not waste time any longer and get the hell out of here!
PUNCH!!!
I didn’t waste a second—I slammed my fist straight into the wall of the colossal sea monster’s stomach from the inside.
ROAAARRR!!!
Ding!
[You have slain an SSS-Rank Colossal Sea Serpent!]
Wait, what the fuck?! One punch and it’s already over?!
Damn, I can’t believe it only took one hit to take down this massive sea monster... I mean, I knew I had grown stronger, but I didn’t expect my punch to pack this much power. Yeah, this is honestly kind of crazy. Somehow, a single punch was all it took to kill this Colossal Sea Serpent.
Furthermore, after defeating this gigantic sea monster, I finally learned its name: "Colossal Sea Serpent." Who would have thought that the system would reveal its name after I defeated it?
Hmm, I’m not sure how to feel about this yet, and I still need to get used to my new power. But still, I’ve got to admit, that was kinda fun. It felt amazing to take down an SSS-Rank sea monster with just a single punch. That said, I’m definitely looking forward to testing out my full power and seeing what else I can accomplish other than this.
After defeating the Colossal Sea Serpent, I received a notification saying that I leveled up right away:
[Leveled Up!]
[Leveled Up!]
[Leveled Up!]
...
...
[Current Level: 254]
What a massive jump in levels. I guess taking down an SSS-Rank sea monster really does grant a huge amount of EXP. Honestly, it looked like I’ve just gained about 30 to 40 levels in the blink of an eye. Alright, let’s not get too excited about leveling up just yet—right now I need to focus on getting out of here first.
I’m not sure where I am right now. It’s so dark that I can’t see anything here, but I can feel something beneath my feet—it seems like a ground made of sand, rough and shifting slightly as I move. The water around me is freezing cold, and the extremely high pressure is crushing, almost as if it’s squeezing the life out of me. However, with my SSS-Rank stats, I’m able to withstand it without issue, though I can’t deny that it’s incredibly uncomfortable here.
Based on what I felt around me, my first thought was that I might be at the bottom of the ocean floor, far beneath the water surface where no light can reach. It’s eerily silent here, the kind of silence that feels endless, broken only by the faint movement of water brushing past me.
I’m not certain how deep I am, but it feels like it could be anywhere from 10,000 to 75,000 feet below the surface, lost in the crushing depths of the sea. Well, it’s hard to say for sure, so I can only speculate.
Ugh, this is lowkey terrifying. I can’t see a thing here, let alone tell if any sea monsters are lurking around me. I might be much stronger than before, but fighting in the dark is still unsettling. My heart raced uncontrollably, gripped by the fear that a sea monster could attack me at any moment.
LEAP! SWIM!
Without wasting any time, I began swimming upward, determined to escape the depths. Along the way, I was attacked by countless colossal sea monsters, their jaws snapping and tentacles reaching out from the dark waters. However, with my SSS-Rank stats, the journey to reach the surface was tolerable.
ROAR!
Surprisingly, I had expected it to be a struggle, but I quickly realized I was simply too powerful, and none of the sea monsters here could challenge me. That’s not to say the journey was easy—there were times when the sea monsters gave me some trouble—but overall, it was still fairly manageable, and I was able to defeat most of them with ease.
PUNCH! KICK! SMACK!
A single punch, kick, or smack was all it took to kill any sea monsters that came at me. The only real challenge, I’d say, was having to fight them nonstop 24/7. All that fighting wasted a lot of my time and slowed me down from reaching the water surface quickly.
Seriously, these damn sea monsters are starting to really annoy me. I couldn’t help but feel a bit frustrated.
...
...
As I continued to swim upward, I began reflecting on how my stats had surpassed 1000 points. At first, it was confusing, but slowly, I started to piece it together. I knew I must’ve died countless times inside the Colossal Sea Serpent’s stomach. I figured that dying repeatedly and coming back to life countless times was likely the reason why my stats had increased so much. Yeah, that seemed like the most logical explanation for now. Otherwise, what else could it be?
...
...
Several hours later...
After swimming upward for what felt like an eternity, I had no idea how many feet I’d covered—maybe 75,000 feet or more—but finally, I caught sight of a faint glimmer of sunlight piercing through the dark waters. My heart skipped a beat, and it hit me—I must be almost there. I could feel the surface drawing closer, and with each stroke, the light grew brighter and brighter, giving me a sense of hope that I hadn’t felt in what seemed like forever.
Hahaha! Almost there! I couldn’t help but let out an inward laugh, a mix of relief and excitement flooding over me. My heart raced, and I could hardly contain myself.
Woohoo! Fuck yeah! Finally, some progress! It felt like I’d been stuck in that dark abyss for ages, but now—now, I’m finally breaking free!
SWIM! SWIM! SWIM!
With one final burst of energy, I swam as fast as I could, my muscles burning from the effort. The sunlight was so close now, it felt like I could reach out and grab it. And then—BAM!—I broke through the surface of the water with a massive splash, gasping for air.
"Raaargh!!! Freedom!!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, my voice echoing across the endless expanse of the ocean.
SPLASH!
