Chapter 67: Aliens Coming

After the Renekton T-Rex killed itself, the Beastmaster man smirked, crossed his arms, and said, "Well, that’s it I guess. We’re done here, so let’s get ready for the next stage."

Suddenly, cheers erupted.

"Woohoo! Hell yeah! We did it!" a young female mage yelled as she jumped up and down with excitement.

"Hahaha! I don’t even know what just happened, but I’ll take it!" a young berserker said, grinning as he rested his greatsword on his shoulder.

"Fuck yeah! We cleared the first stage without dying!" a necromancer chimed in, his dark robes swirling as he gestured dramatically. "Now, we just need to crush the final boss monster to complete this trial!"

Meanwhile, after the boss monster’s death, I received multiple level-up notifications:

[Leveled Up!]

[Leveled Up!]

[Leveled Up!]

...

...

...

Perfect, I’m feeling stronger than ever.

After the death of this boss monster, my level instantly shot up to Level 214. At this point, I’ve already become an S-Rank superhuman— a significant progress, I’d say, and I’m pretty proud of it.

However, despite the significant boost in my level, I still feel somewhat incomplete. The lack of powerful S-Rank weapons and gear holds me back compared to other S-Rank superhumans who have far superior equipment than I am. Without those core pieces of equipment, I can’t help but feel a bit inferior, despite my level and newfound strength.

I suppose I still have a long way to go before I can catch up with everyone else, but for now, I’ll focus on appreciating the progress I’ve made so far. After all, with enough time, I’m sure I’ll eventually close the gap.

At this moment, the hologram board in the center of this colosseum flickered once again, displaying a new message:

[Congratulations on completing the first stage! You may now take a moment to rest and wait for the next stage to be announced!]

A few seconds later, food and water suddenly began spawning high above, raining down from the sky and landing directly in the center of this massive colosseum. The sight was overwhelming—tables of fresh fruits, steaming loaves of bread, lobsters, all kinds of seafood, jugs of water, and rich, savory meals all descending with a gentle, yet unstoppable force.

Upon catching sight of the feast, the crowd fell into a frenzy, their mouths watering as they couldn’t resist the urge to reach out and claim what had appeared. Excitement buzzed through the air as hunger gave way to a mix of awe and exhilaration, each person unable to hide their anticipation for the buffet that had suddenly appeared before them.

"Oh my goodness! The food is finally here!" someone exclaimed excitedly.

"Bahaha! Hooray! Time to feast!" another chimed in with a laugh.

"Woohoo! Perfect timing! I’m starving, so let’s dig in now!" a third person added eagerly.

...

...

After hours of feasting, we were finally full and completely satisfied. We had devoured nearly a month’s worth of food—a feat only possible because, as S-Rank superhumans, our appetites far surpass those of regular humans. With our meal over, everyone relaxed out on the ground, either sitting or lying down, letting our bodies rest as the food settled in.

As I gazed at the other colosseums scattered across the sky, I couldn’t help but wonder how John was doing. A part of me wished that vampire freak would vanish—preferably for good—so that I wouldn’t have to see his face ever again. Yeah, please do me a favor and just die already. Thanks, John.

Haha, yeah right, as if that would ever happen...

...

...

After a few days of rest and relaxation, suddenly, a thunderous trumpet sound erupted in the background, echoing through the colosseum and shattering the tense silence like a crack of lightning:

TOO-TOO-TOO-TOO-TOOOOOOM!

It was at this moment that the hologram board flickered again, displaying a brand-new message:

[The next stage will begin in one minute!]

In an instant, everyone stood up, preparing for the final stage. We all knew this was the last trial, and if we survived this, we’d be rewarded handsomely.

Of course, I had no idea what the aliens might reward us with. The possibilities were endless, but I couldn’t help but speculate. Maybe, just maybe, they would grant us the freedom we desperately longed for and return us to our worlds. It was a wild thought, but then again, who knows what their intentions truly were? There was so much we still didn’t understand about them.

All we could do was wait and see. Either way, the answers would come eventually. Still, the uncertainty was gnawing at me. I really hoped the aliens would keep their word. If they didn’t... well, things could get really bad for all of us.

...

...

One minute later...

The hologram board flickered, displaying the start of the final stage:

[The final stage starts now!]

In an instant, the walls of the colosseum began to collapse. Before long, the entire colosseum began to transform, rising into the air and reshaping itself into a breathtaking floating island—an island adorned with lush trees, vibrant grass, and an array of colorful flowers, creating a fresh and stunning new environment for the final stage.

Not only had our colosseum changed, but to our surprise, the other colosseums also underwent the same transformation. It was as if the entire arena system had been reimagined, with each one now becoming its own unique floating island, completely different from how it was before.

[Welcome to Skyrion Island!]

"Whoa! What the heck is this place?!"

"A floating island this time? Seriously?!"

"Hey, look up at the sky! Are those other planets?!"

[Final Trial: Defeat the final boss monster, the legendary ’Sky Dragon.’]

We, now on Skyrion Island, gazed in awe at the breathtaking scenery surrounding us. The floating island was a lush paradise with vibrant flora and crystal-clear streams. Looking up at the bright sky, we could see not only other colosseums nearby but also distant planets in the expanse above.

We couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty of this new environment when suddenly, a massive roar echoed across the island, capturing our attention.

ROAAARRR!!!

"W-What the hell was that?!" Everyone tensed up, startled by the deafening roar.

Then, suddenly, the Sky Dragon appeared—a majestic creature with scales that shimmered like the sky itself, soared into view. Its eyes glowed with a mystical intensity, and its wings stretched wide as it circled the island. We couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation as the colossal beast descended, landing with a heavy thud that caused the island to vibrate slightly.

THUD!

It was then that the hologram in the center of this floating island flickered once again, crackling with static before displaying a loud warning message:

[Warning! Sky Dragon Boss Fight Initiated!]

Just as the Sky Dragon was about to charge at us, an enormous portal suddenly ripped open right beside it. The air vibrated violently with the energy emanating from the portal, signaling that the aliens were coming.

Dammit, what is it now?! What do the aliens want from us this time?!
