Liam felt so content the more he smelled her vanilla cologne and the man couldn’t help but feel giddy because this time round he was not sleeping next to her just to accompany her in the coma so as to prevent her from getting bored, because he knew she could hear him, but he was sleeping next to her because she was awake and they were both tired. what an upgrade, what an achievement!

The two were about to just drift to sleep when Jane’s stomach suddenly rumbled loudly, making the girl blush at the same time almost punching herself because she forgot that she had not had food for the first time in a long period and therefore a stomach had to alert her.

If Jane thought that action was regretful, then she was shocked by Liam’s reaction because the man wanted to punch himself so hard. How could he forget about her not eating?

All the sleep that he had accumulated immediately disappeared as he got on his toes, got out of the room and rushed to the kitchen.

Jane had intended to stop him, but the man was equally so fast that she just had to shake her head as she waited for her food to be brought in.

It was a good thing that Liam would regularly stock his fridge and therefore there was enough food in there. He looked at the foods one after another and finally settled on making her some fish, some soup, and some light snacks. In short, everything was meant to be light.

The man folded his shirt sleeves as he immediately started working on the food, checking out the bones, checking and making sure that everything was up to her liking and to her taste.

Liam felt so alive cooking for the first time in nine months, of course he was cooking for his wife, not for his kids, not for himself, but for his wife. He couldn’t help but imagine the situation that was going to be there between his wife and kids, the moment they were going to first meet eye to eye with each other. The man giggled at his thoughts as he finished wrapping up the food that was meant for his wife and immediately started rushing upstairs, taking the food to her.

The moment Jane heard the rushing off footsteps, she could roughly guess that the man was done with his cooking, and she immediately tried stabilizing herself because she wanted to sit up.

After a short struggle, she was finally able to sit upright and she couldn’t help but smile because this is a position that she had missed for a very long time.

She looked at the wires that were connected to her, and she carefully plucked out the one that was meant to pass nutrients into her body, since she no longer needed it.

Apart from that, she equally studied if there is any other wire that would not be of any use to her for now and when she finally found a couple, she removed them carefully and waited to see if there were any consequences in her body, and when she saw that they were none, she plucked out the rest.

"The food is here, love."

Liam softly and excitedly whispered at her as he served her, putting the food on her bed and the moment she saw the scene the happier she became because her stomach was really grumbling and she had greatly missed her husband’s food so much and looking at the food that was light, meant to be bland, but at the same time looking so beautiful and so sweet, she couldn’t help but lick her lips in anticipation.

Liam chuckled at her reaction as he immediately sat by her side and started feeding her one meal after another and in under 30 minutes all the bawls were wiped clean and he couldn’t help but tap his chest in happiness because his wife had finished the food, his food, his cooking.

"That was delicious, honey."

" Of course, baby. You know, when it comes to wifey, it has to be delicious...just like she is."

"Oh please, you’re..wait..what did...LIAM!!"

The two joked for a couple of minutes, only to be interrupted by Liam’s phone.

The moment he looked at it and saw his grandmother calling, the man did not waste even a single minute before picking up, only to be greeted on the other side by a couple of painful cries from his sons.

"Oh, son. They woke up with a lot of cries kept on whispering the name Mama, Mama, Mama and we are here wondering what is happening. They won’t calm down no matter what we do! I think you should come for them. Maybe they want to see their mother."

Jane had equally heard the conversation and she nodded in an anticipated manner, strongly agreeing with her grandmother’s statement, even though the woman could not see her and even though no one knew she was awake.

Liam thought for a minute if he should tell his grandparents that she had woken up, but Jane shook her head, telling him, not telling him not to tell them yet because she wanted to see them when she was a little bit fit. For now, she wanted to see her children first.

Liam nodded in response to her reply as he told his grandmother that he was on his way to pick them up.

He looked at his watch and realized that it was already sunrise and the two had actually spent the night together, none of them sleeping as they caught up on quite a number of things.

"Okay baby, I’m heading to pick our..."

"Shoo! What are you telling me for instead of leaving? Go! Run fast. I want to see my babies. I’m giving you a maximum of, I don’t know, quite a few minutes. I want you to be back with my babies. Run and and don’t tell anyone of walking up. Even Ryan. Don’t tell him yet. I want to see my babies first."

Before he could finish his statement, Liam was ruthlessly shooed away by Jane, who told him not to come back unless he came back with their children.

Liam laughed in a happy manner because he knew that behavior very well. He was very much familiar with that behavior and he honestly couldn’t blame her because if he were in the position, he would equally do that because those were his children.

He rushed to their master bedroom where he immediately took a shower as he wore a clean pair of sweatpants and a hoodie as he took his car keys and rushed to the garage, intending to go pick up his kids.

On the way to his grandparents house, the man was busy spotting a very big smile on his face because he felt like his life was complete again. In fact, not feeling like but his life was complete.

He hummed a few tunes and a few songs as he pulled up to the Lu mansion and the moment the house helps realize that Mister Yang was here, they immediately rushed and informed the grandmothers who were at this point about to lose their eardrums because the kids cries were very high and nothing could pacify them which surprised them because they were normally so obedient.

"Papa! Papa!"

They started crying the moment they spotted their father in a louder manner, as in between they could mutter the words Papa as they forwarded their hands towards him, declaring that they wanted to be carried by their father.

"Oh, my little champs! Don’t worry, don’t worry. Papa is here. You wanna see Mama?"

Liam lightly cooed them and as if they could understand what their father was saying, they nodded their heads while still giving him the doubtful looks because they felt like this man was playing games with them.

Liam burst out in laughter because his kids were somehow so brave and they seemed to understand quite a number of things.

He felt like they were reprimanding him, or he felt like they were asking him how many times he was going to lie to them.

The elders looked at the sweet interaction between the father and children and couldn’t say a word as they stood on the sidelines, packing up the items that they belonged to the twins.

"Okay, okay, say goodbye to Great grandma. Say goodbye to Great Grandpa!"

Liam instructed the twins, who impatiently nodded to their great grandparents, as they urged their father to leave their place immediately, making the elders feel like they were handling grown-ups instead of children, because those children seemed to know quite a number of things and they felt like they were being reprimanded and tossed aside after being used.

"OK, champs, you’re going to see Mama today. Mama is awake. Do you want to see her? Do you want to see Mama?"

Liam had adjusted his voice as he set up the baby car seat, putting the twins in order before going to the driver’s seat and speeding out of the mansion.

The elders, who are busy watching the situation from the window, couldn’t help but look at each other with some doubts and amusement on their faces.

" I think she’s awake."

Grandma Lu spoke to the rest of the three elders, who nodded their heads as if they were done assessing the situation.

According to them, Liam looked extremely happy, something that they didn’t happen often so the only guess was that Jane had actually woken up, but they chose to keep it a secret for now until the two were ready to tell the rest of the family because afterall, the family of four had to catch up with each other first.
