Chapter 276: Mother Lu?

The woman seemed to be trying to control her anger, but at some point one could see her fail because of the nails that were digging into her palms and fresh blood seeping out.

"The moment I get my revenge... this fool will equally see what I have in store for him..."

She couldn’t help but grudgingly side eye the man who was busy eyeing the hospital door as if waiting for someone to patiently come out.

"Everyone, I think I’ll be taking Jane back now. She seems so tired, and of course, with this heavy stomach, she’s bound to get so sleepy from time to time."

Liam told his family, who in turn nodded at him as they waved him goodbye, and the moment they did so, the man immediately took his woman as he intended to take her home to rest, but Jane could fill some emptiness inside her from time to time, not knowing why she was feeling bad.

"I just wanna sleep. No, I want to eat to my fill, then sleep like never before."

Jane jokingly said as she waddled towards the car, Liam by her side, supporting her as they climbed down the stairs.

The couple then proceeded to laugh, making more jokes, not knowing that maybe one of them was soon going to be having that sleep that she was talking about.

’They’re coming out. They are coming out!"

Someone in the crowd shouted immediately earning the attention of the rest but before they could say further, they felt guns on their temple, only to look back and find men dressed in black from head to toe, their faces covered with a black cloth only having their eyes visible, giving some ninja vibes.

"Who... who are you?"

The man shakingly said as he immediately detected the killing intent coming from this ninjas, one that intended to finish and do their job with just one slice.

The ninja did not say anything, but pointed towards Jane and Liam’s car immediately, making the men know that their actions were not, in fact, anywhere close to being a secret, rather, someone had been keeping an eye on them for the longest time possible.

"I thought you said she had no shadow guards! Such a useless woman!"

The man turned towards the woman as he intended to slap her and the ninjas did not stop him, but instead stood by their side watching the little show interestingly but alert enough to make sure that none of these guys were getting out of this place alive.

One of the head ninjas immediately took out his phone as he intended to call Liam.

The two had just sat into the car when Liam’s phone rang, and when he saw the number, he didn’t hesitate before picking up because he could tell that It had something to do with the uneasiness he had been feeling all this while.

"Good evening boss. We have found some people trying to snoop around. They have been doing it for the past couple of minutes and when you and Lady boss were about to come out, they seemed so excited and so alert and that is when we decided to ambush them."

"Take them all to the base, now!"

Jane could see Liam’s jaw ticking in anger and she couldn’t help but try to understand what was going on and only by being explained to by Liam did the girl finally blow out in anger. To her, it seemed like she could never have a peaceful day. There is always someone, somewhere trying to scheme against her.

She was equally interested to know who this person was, that really just couldn’t leave her alone.

The man and the woman were very much poorly handled as they were all held into one squishy car before being taken to Liam’s base as the man was hailing cusses at the woman further, while the woman was just quiet, as if she was contemplating something and if one was careful, they could see the half smile that she was emitting but of course the ninjas were careful enough with these two people and had therefore immediately noticed that.

The head Ninja once again sent a message to Liam, asking him to be careful of his other surroundings because it felt like there was more than one plan against them, and who knew how lethal it was?

Jane did not bother asking for much details about the situation because she felt like the more she knew, the more stressful she would feel and the more danger she would be exposing her children to.

As they came towards the traffic. Stop. Liam stopped his car as he took a bottle of water beside him, opening it up and immediately drinking the water, showing some signs of nervousness.

On the other hand, the ninjas were able to arrive at Liam’s base safely and as they offloaded their criminals and put them in one bar, they had to take out their masks and see what was hidden beneath them.

What surprised most, if not all the ninjas present was the fact that the woman’s face clearly resembled mother Lu and if one were was not familiar with mother Lu that much, they could immediately say that this is mother Lu, Jane’s mother and the matriarch of the lu family.

They studied the other man present and couldn’t help but link him with a very familiar face , one that immediately had them taking photos of the two people and immediately sending it to Liam.

By now all the ninjas had alerted the other ninjas that were beside Jean and Liam, and the shadow guards that were completely hidden to clearly keep an eye because this is the same man who was Philip’s best friend and the one who was arrested for the death of all the other members of Philip’s family but how he came out of the clutches of the law is one thing that surprised the ninjas, one thing that made them immediately become alert but not showing it on their faces.

A notification immediately attracted Liam’s attention and this time because he was driving, Jane chose to take the phone and see what had been sent because they could see the emergency based on the number of notifications that were quickly coming in through.

"What? Hold on. Reverse the car! We are going back to the hospital."

Jane was so shocked by whatever she was seeing that she couldn’t even be able to bring out her words carefully and make them understandable but because Liam got to detected the urgency, he immediately had to look for an exit out of that lane and go to the other side of the lane.

"What is wrong?"

When Jane shared with Liam the content, the man couldn’t help but almost swerve the car out of the road because for one, he recognized that man as the same man he had investigated and handed the evidence to Phillip and heck, that woman looked closely familiar to his mother-in-law, but he could tell her this was immediately a fake. Someone who had done plastic surgery and taken after they look of mother Lu with obviously a bad intention.

"Wow. So we’re never gonna arrest huh?"

Jane spoke, earning a slight dry giggle from Liam because at this point they didn’t even have the energy to get mad and to get all thinky, thinky, but just laugh because like, at some point in their life they will have peace and all of a sudden, a wave comes crashing down, as if peace never existed in the first place.

Mary,Chloe and Rose had been put in one big room that would be able to accommodate the whole family so as to prevent the family from maneuvering from one place to another, mostly due to the elders health and the moment the door opened wide and they saw Liam coming in looking dishelved and bothered, they couldn’t help but immediately get stunned as this were the same people that were clearly heading back home.

"What is wrong son?"

mother Lu looked at Liam weirdly as she could see the man trying to study her from head to toe, to compare her with the same woman he had just seen on the picture, and he couldn’t help but wonder if his mother-in-law had offended someone.

Jane did not wait for Liam to speak as she immediately gave herself a seat and started explaining everything that had happened.

The more she explained, the stiff the atmosphere in the room became, as one could detect the seriousness that came from each and every person and surprisingly, the babies included because this was a big matter and this was a big issue for someone to actually do plastic surgery to look like Mother Lu. They clearly did not have any good intention and of course, if they did not have good intentions, they intended to break down the lu family.

By this time, each and every person in the room could clearly notice that Jane had become so agitated that her hormones seemed to be imbalanced, and Ryan, being a doctor, could immediately tell that his sister might be going into labor any time because she had accidentally triggered herself.

"Sis, I think you might be going into labor. You looks so agitated and if I’m not wrong, you have triggered the babies to come out or you have triggered your labor."

Ryan tried explaining in a very calm manner, but nothing could be calm looking at the woman who looked so stressed as the woman was busy leaning down on her chair, trying to take in big deep breaths, not even a normal breath, but big deep breath because she needed them.
