"As I was saying, my daughter...we all have our shortcomings and I’m not defending what my husband and I did to you, but rather we are asking for your forgiveness. We took a whole trip from country B to country X to ask for forgiveness from your sister and if it takes our whole lifetime then we would dedicate it to ask for your forgiveness...We are so sorry, my dear daughter. Please forgive us."

At this moment, the Grandma Huang who was speaking while standing had already disappeared as the woman miraculously appeared by her bedside on her knees, crying, bawling her eyes out, one clearly being able to see the pain behind her eyes.

Emiliy’s walls that were clearly so high immediately collapsed the moment she spotted her mother kneeling down, because if there’s anything, she knows how proud her parents are. She knows how proud her mother is and under no circumstance will that woman ever kneel unless, of course, she’s praising God.

"Mom...Please don’t kneel, Mom. I..."

As if her mother was not enough, Grandpa Huang immediately joined his wife as he also kneeled down, looking at his daughter with remorse filled eyes, still asking for her forgiveness as Emily could spot the stubbornness behind the two people’s eyes, telling her that if they were not going to resolve the enemity that was between them, then they were not going to stand up.

Despite the fact that she despised her parents kneeling down, deep down in her heart, Emily felt some little warmth, seeing her long lost parents finally apologizing and finally accepting their mistakes because she knows how stubborn they can be.

"Mom. Dad. I forgive you. Please stand... I don’t want to see you in such a state. You are already so old. Who do you want to leave me with?"

Despite being weak, one could still hear the playfulness behind her voice, and the Big Six family immediately started smiling the moment they realized that the atmosphere was less tense.

They squeezed themselves in before finally closing the door as they watched the family of three reunite.

Daniel knew that Emily needed this moment with her family, and he therefore stood up as he stepped aside and let the mother, father, and daughter quietly hug as they bawled their out eyes out, each one of them releasing their pent up emotions.

Rebecca watched as her twin sister and her parents hugged emotionally and she couldn’t keep up her frustration as she immediately walked to the bedside and her small voice attracting Emily’s attention.

"Millie!.. I never thought I’d ever see you again! My dear sister, my love.. Look at you! Please, somebody tell me that I am not tweaking, that you are right beside me."

One could easily detect the emotions behind Rebecca’s voice, as her voice sounded so shaky her steps, looking so uncoordinated.

"Becca... sis. .My sister... Oh, my Becca!"

Despite feeling, weak, Emily immediately put in some effort as she made sure that she was able to perfectly hug Rebecca, her head burrowed in her chest as the two girls also cried, similarly releasing their pent up emotions.

During this whole period, both of them had the events that led to them being separated, running through their mind, coursing through their thoughts as they could equally remember how their parents treated them but then, but right now, none of that mattered because they had finally reunited, a reunion that They all never knew could happen.

Despite feeling some pain in her body, Emily did not stop her sister from tightly hugging her, but the people beside her immediately noticed and before Daniel could say a thing, Rick, who had been quiet all along, immediately stood up and gathered his courage as he walked towards Rebecca and quietly and courageously helped her up.

Rebecca did not have the time to register who was helping her up, but because she knew her whole family was here, then she did not mind whoever was helping her and immediately turned towards them as she burrowed her face on their chest, releasing each and every tear that she intended to release that day.

Rick’s expression was really awkward, but instead of speaking up, he quietly patted her shoulder and her back in a comforting manner, The tip of his ears looking bright pink as a blush found its way up his cheeks, and the rest of the family couldn’t help but look amused as they observed the situation. One look and they could already tell that Rick was in love with Rebecca and that whatever led him to help her up was still unknown to them, but they all in the room believed in the power of love.

After a whole 5 minutes of quietness in the ward, only the muffling of voices as the people finally relaxed from their tear session could be heard as Emily immediately started scanning the whole room as she looked at new faces some seemingly making sense to her others absolutely not making any sense but instead of voicing out her thoughts, she decided to wait until someone finally spoke because she felt like it was an awkward situation, finally reuniting with her parents after waking up from her coma.

As she was scanning the crowd, her eyes immediately stopped at Mary, and she couldn’t help but widely stare at her as she pointed her shaky finger at her.

"You...You...How?"

Her shakey your finger darted from Daniel back to Mary, back to her, and immediately before she stopped her thoughts, she spotted Nicole next to Mary, and before the woman knew it, she felt like she was about to lose consciousness.

She turned towards Daniel as she carefully looked at him, confusion clearly visible on her face.

"They are ours my love.."

Her voice was extremely soft that it struck a chord in each and every person’s heart present in the room, and they couldn’t help but view her as a sweetheart, despite her old age already.

Daniel immediately nodded continuously as his eyes threatened to release some tears, redness immediately visible on his eyes.

He just asked Mary and Nicole to step forward and the two girls immediately obeyed and that is when Emily was able to realize a bump on Mary’s stomach, her eyes widening in joy because she could already tell she is a grandmother.

"Emily, my love. A lot of things happened, but...I do not regret what happened between us because that is what enabled us to bring these two beautiful angels to this world. I genuinely want to say that they have not had a good start since childhood, but our children have suffered but because the heavens have favoured us, our whole family, we have finally reunited with our children. Look at them and they beautiful! One carrying my pure genes, the other one carrying your pure genes.."

Emily did not even let Daniel finish as her eyes lit up in happiness and surprise and shock, different emotions displaying on her face all at the same time as she beckoned Mary and Nicole in an impatient manner to get closer to her and the two girls who were actually nervous to meet their mother for the first time immediately obeyed full command.

She took their beautiful hands into hers as she observed them, their features and everything from head to toe, and the more she looked at them, the more her eyes became red as tears threatened to spill.

"My daughters... Please forgive your mother! I know that whatever you have gone through since childhood till now isn’t something pleasant and I blame myself for the biggest part, but please find it in your heart to forgive your mother. You have lacked motherly love for all these years... I don’t know how I am going to repay you people, but please give your mother a chance to love you. Give your mother a chance to fill that void in your..."

Emily did not even finish her statement with the two girls pounced on her, hugging her tight as they immediately started crying, no one intending to stop them because this is a beautiful moment for them.

What surprised them was that Nicole wasn’t the one who was even crying that hard or displaying too much of emotions, rather it was Mary, the Mary who they knew to be a strong headed girl, A girl who rarely displayed all her emotions at once, but before a mother who she really very much craved, she couldn’t even hold in her tears and to be honest, they felt so happy for them. Finally, they could test what love from a mother really, really meant.

"Mom! Mom? Lord! My mom is with me... I am getting hugged by my mother, the woman who gave birth to me. Oh Lord, I love you so much!!!"

Mary couldn’t keep her speech calm as she incoherently spoke quite a number of things, but the people were able to catch it as her being nervous, not knowing what to say before her mother, and the fact that she was super happy and overwhelmed with emotions.

Daniel couldn’t let this opportunity pass as he immediately went towards his woman and children and immediately as he widened his big arms and was able to cover them all in a beautiful hug, the four of them sharing their emotions, spilling out what they have felt for the longest time possible.

One was a father who never had a chance to experience the childhood of his daughters. The other was a mother who for years has never known about anything related to her daughters. And the other ones were two twin sisters who were able to experience the love of a true mother and father at the same time, thus putting them in a position that they have never been able to relate to in life and therefore at the moment they could just say their emotions were all over the place but one thing was for sure, they were extremely, extremely happy!
