Chapter 126: Chapter 120_3

Little brother, are you planning to break my hand?

He looked down and saw the clothes he had prepared for Rong Zhi last time. He blinked and smiled ambiguously, "Little brother really keeps me in his heart, already prepared clothes for me."

Rong Zhi stood with arms crossed by the closet door, watching him with an expressionless face, "If you don’t change, I’ll throw it away."

Bai Su definitely wasn’t going to throw it away.

After he dressed and turned around, Rong Zhi was already looking down, replying to messages. Late at night, her WeChat was still buzzing; it showed how many people had messaged throughout the day.

Bai Su stood for a long time before reaching out to poke her face.

"Hmm?" Rong Zhi sounded puzzled and then frowned.

The clothes fit him even better than on her, obviously these were his. Rong Zhi didn’t mind this. Her gaze moved down to the towel around his waist.

Oh right, there were no suitable pants for him.

"Wait a moment, I’ll go wash," Rong Zhi turned and walked away, after a few steps she looked back, "Does your head still hurt?"

Bai Su shook his head, then nodded the next second.

Rong Zhi: "..."

Bai Su’s eyes curved in a smile.

Actually, it didn’t hurt much, and his cold had improved too; he just secretly wanted to stay awhile longer.

But clearly, little brother wasn’t having it; he had to give up and sighed in a pretend way before helping Rong Zhi put the clothes in the dry cleaning machine.

During the wait for laundry, he measured his temperature again; it was still slightly high.

Rong Zhi found another lollipop of different flavor and effect for him to suck on.

Bai Su didn’t like taking medicine, but it didn’t matter, she had plenty of medicine turned into candy. Though not as effective as boiling, having it like this for three days could still cure him.

Suddenly, a storm raged outside, making the windows slap loudly. Rong Zhi went to check the windows in several rooms to ensure they were tightly closed, then turned to the bathroom to dry Bai Su’s clothes.

Doing mundane tasks over the past three years didn’t tire her; instead, watching the sick Bai Su beside her was unbearable, so she handed over the dryer to him.

"You have work tomorrow, go get ready for bed."

Bai Su pinched the soft cheek of the young woman.

Suddenly, Rong Zhi found her hands empty, glanced sideways at Bai Su’s gaze, and nodded lightly after pursing her lips.

-

Deep in the night, Rong Zhi tossed and turned on a foreign bed, her body exhausted but her mind wide awake.

Finally, as sleep gently approached, she sensed the door opening. She was pulled from her covers, eyes snapping open, only to have warm fingers cover her eyes.

A man’s deep, husky voice was murky in the stormy night.

"Don’t be scared, let’s go back to sleep."

Rong Zhi kicked to get down, consciousness resurfacing.

Bai Su held down her legs, turning her around to face him, and hoisted her like a child, placing her legs around his waist, supporting her bottom as he kicked the door open and walked toward another room.

Rong Zhi, who hadn’t been treated like this since she was five: "..."

Good heavens.

Any drowsiness vanished.

Pressed onto her own bed, Rong Zhi had given up struggling.

Along the way, she had kicked and hit, almost beating Bai Su to the ground. Despite the pain on his frowning face, he remained silent.

If it weren’t for his high temperature, Rong Zhi would have suspected he had recovered.

Such strength.

Bai Su chose that moment to teasingly say —

"Little brother, you’re quite wild."

Rong Zhi: "..."

I suggest you have some decorum.

The mattress beside her sank, and Rong Zhi’s fox eyes widened.

"Bai Su," she said, her tone restrained, "get out."

"No."

Bai Su, full of smiles, wrapped one arm around the young girl’s neck, pulling her into his embrace, with the other hand resting lightly on her slender waist.

The fabric of Rong Zhi’s nightgown was thin, yet Bai Su’s touch easily sensed the uneven skin beneath it at her lower back.

He rubbed lightly, intending to lift the garment for a look, but pain flared at his collarbone, making him tighten his fingers on her back as he looked down to find she had bitten him near the collarbone.

The force was fierce, sharp teeth piercing skin, and blood slowly oozed out.

Rong Zhi let go, her gaze dark and unreadable.

Bai Su chuckled lowly, biting his lip slightly with his tongue.

Indeed... she’s quite wild.

The more she resisted, the less he wanted to let go.

Long, strong legs entwined the young woman as Bai Su shamelessly tugged at his collar, raising an eyebrow at Rong Zhi with a casual, bold grin, "Come on, bite the right side too for symmetry."

Rong Zhi simply closed her eyes.

Bai Su tapped her eyelids, pulled the covers over both of them, and snuggled up next to the youth, falling into a contented sleep.

Lying on her familiar bed, Rong Zhi’s dissipated drowsiness soon gathered again. The man’s octopus-like hold didn’t bother her; at worst, she’d treat him as a human pillow, warm and comfortable.

With that thought, she drowsily drifted back to sleep.
