The banquet had ended, and a Mossad representative escorted Gao Yuan and his companions out the door.

He knew the important conversations would never happen in the open.

"Mr. Gao, may we speak in private?"

The Mossad representative spoke, his Chinese fluent and authentic. It made sense, considering China’s influence, that Mossad, known as the best spy agency, would be remiss not to have agents skilled in Chinese.

"Hmm, sure."

Gao Yuan readily accepted the invitation from the Mossad representative.

Andrew would certainly be pulled aside to discuss bolstering Israel’s population, so Gao Yuan would also definitely be involved in a serious and important matter. The Israelis always had a clear separation of matters.

Travi was now a massive military camp and a large factory. If one had a private residence, they could live there with their family, but most young men and women, mainly from the national defense force or reserves, needed to be housed collectively in various barracks.

"Would you like a cigarette? Or perhaps a cup of coffee? It’s evening now, but I think maybe you’d like a cup of coffee."

Gao Yuan looked at Li Yang, who hesitated before nodding and saying, "Thank you."

The Mossad representative, slightly over thirty, wasn’t very tall, just over five feet seven inches. He had thinning brown hair and wore a kippah peculiar to Israel.

As for his face, it wasn’t without features, but he had that sort of face you could find anywhere in Israel.

"My name is Avi Berman, and I am a senior Mossad agent."

After placing two cups of coffee before Gao Yuan and Li Yang, Avi sat down opposite them, pushing the cigarettes forward. "Feel free to smoke, and could you please introduce yourselves?"

Gao Yuan pointed to himself and then took up the coffee, smiling and saying, "Gao Yuan. Haven’t I already introduced myself?"

Avi looked at Li Yang, who spoke in a deep voice, "Li Yang, I’m a soldier, currently his translator. Of course, you don’t need a translator."

Avi shook his head, pointing at Li Yang, "You’re not a soldier. You’re the same as me."

Li Yang smiled helplessly, shaking his head, "No, we really are different. I am not an agent."

Avi considered for a moment, then said, "No, you are, buddy. Your every move, the way you watch over him, your gestures and focus points when you’re by his side, you’re definitely not a soldier. Avi glanced at Gao Yuan and then he whispered, "I want to know your real purpose. To you people, Israel is just a temporary foothold, because you still want to fulfill your mission, while Colonel Marshall and his people just want to settle down as soon as possible. They have lost the will and ability to fight, so there are some things I will only discuss with you."

Li Yang smiled and asked, "Can you explain your specific position in Mossad?"

Avi shook his head and said, "Not at the moment, Mr. Li. Given the current circumstances, do you think we would have any intention of harming you?"

Li Yang chuckled lightly and said, "The world’s affairs are complicated. If you want to be open and honest, then at least you should show some sincerity."

Avi sat down in a chair and pondered for quite some time. After Gao Yuan slowly finished a cup of very hot coffee, Avi finally said, "The armed forces in Africa come from an organization called the Sanitation Worker."

Li Yang looked towards Gao Yuan, and Gao Yuan pursed his lips before he laughed and said, "We know."

Avi let out a sigh of relief, then he said in a low voice, "We don’t know the purpose of the Sanitation Worker, but they seem to have the technological products of an alien civilization, because they seem to be completely unaffected by the virus."

Gao Yuan said softly, "We know this too, but I want to know how you found out."

Avi laughed, fell silent for a moment, then pointed at Li Yang and said, "We share a lot of intelligence with America, especially after the aliens invaded. We have received a lot of information. For example, one of your spies infiltrated the Sanitation Worker and the Graycloaks and got hold of one thing, but he failed to obtain another."

Gao Yuan knew this but didn’t know the details, so he nodded and said, "Hmm, you’re finally getting to the point."

Avi placed his hands on the table and said solemnly, "Let’s be frank. Your spy Poseidon is a successful double agent. He did the unimaginable; he obtained a lot of intelligence. The other is with the Sanitation Worker, and you’re right, that item is key to saving the world; but what’s crucial is that the two items must be combined to take effect."

Avi looked as though a weight had been lifted off him and said, "Just as I thought. I knew it; the only reason you came from Shenzhou to Africa was for that Divine Artifact because Poseidon knew where it was, right?"

Li Yang said calmly, "Are you planning to help us, or are you going to stop us?"
