Chapter 77: ORCS
Chapter 77: ORCS
The final monster crumbled into dust as Void Energy silently devoured its existence, leaving only a faint shimmer of distortion in the air. Chen Yu exhaled slowly, his body relaxing for the first time in what felt like hours. The gravity field around him dissipated with a silent thoom, allowing the mist to creep back in.
Silence.
The graveyard returned to stillness.
No more monsters. No movement in the shadows. Just the echoes of his own breath, and the distant hum of otherworldly energy that saturated the zone.
Then—
Ding!
A soft chime echoed in his ears. A new system screen appeared before him, glowing faintly in the dim light.
[System Notification]
Congratulations. You have unlocked a new function: [STATS]
— You have defeated 20 SSS-Rank Anomaly Creatures: Variant Goblins
— Access to combat stat interface granted
"Goblins...?" Chen Yu blinked. "Those things were goblins?!"
He frowned deeply, recalling the twisted, nightmarish creatures that moved like assassins and hit like thunder.
"SSS-rank goblins... If I hadn’t used Void Energy, if I’d hesitated for even a second—"
He paused, his gaze hardening.
"I would’ve been torn apart."
He clenched his fist, feeling the faint ache in his muscles. Despite the victory, it hadn’t been easy. And it reminded him that this world—this new reality—was nothing like before.
"Maybe I got too cocky," he muttered. "Maybe I thought being SSS-rank and Chaos-class made me invincible..."
But the thought passed, swept away by another screen that blinked into view—this one drawing all his attention.
[STAT INTERFACE – UNLOCKED]

Chen stared at the panel, blinking once, then twice.
"Mana... three hundred? Energy... also three hundred? That’s... insane. But—"
His eyes scanned the rest of the values.
"Strength... only 50? Agility just 60? And stamina—okay, that’s decent, but still..."
He crossed his arms, frowning thoughtfully.
"I thought I was powerful... but looking at this? I’ve got mana and energy for days, but if one of those monsters had landed a clean hit, I would’ve been a corpse by now."
A dry chuckle escaped his lips.
"Tch... Looks like I’ve been living in my own delusion."
He exhaled deeply, but his eyes didn’t show regret—only clarity. Awareness. Understanding.
This was a different world.
One where being clever wasn’t enough. One where power wasn’t just about class or rank—it was about stats, synergy, and how far you could push your potential.
"No more assumptions. No more half-measures."
He pulled open the stat allocation window.
"Strength first. If I can’t kill them with spells, I’ll tear them apart with my fists."
His fingers tapped quickly.
+20 points allocated to Strength.
[Strength: 50 → 70]
Chen rolled his shoulder, feeling the difference immediately. His muscles felt denser, tighter, more explosive. Even the weight of his own body seemed lighter under his control.
"That’s more like it..."
He looked up at the corrupted sky above the Anomaly Zone. A faint wind rustled the broken branches above, and in the distance, he could hear the subtle shift of new monsters stirring.
"No rest for the wicked, huh?"
His eyes narrowed, the glow of determination shining within them.
"Good."
He stepped forward, his cloak flicking behind him like a banner of war.
"If this place is the fastest way to level up... then let it throw everything it has at me."
"The Chaos Class isn’t just some title—it’s a declaration."
He activated his short-range teleportation, vanishing from the graveyard and reappearing deeper into the zone, where the jungle thickened and the sky grew even darker.
"Let’s see what’s next."
And so, the hunt began again.
But this time, Chen Yu wasn’t just fighting to survive. He was fighting to evolve. To push the limits of a class that defied gods. To unlock the true potential of a force born from contradictions.
The Chaos had only just begun.
The deeper Chen Yu ventured into the Anomaly Zone, the denser the air became. Every step forward was like wading through invisible sludge—thick with killing intent, pulsing with corrupt energy. The trees grew twisted and warped, their bark blackened and gnarled like claws. The sky above churned violently, as if the zone itself was aware of his presence.
Chen crouched low behind a boulder, his sharp senses tingling.
"Something’s nearby..."
He wasn’t wrong.
Within moments, a thunderous growl echoed through the air, followed by the ground trembling beneath his feet.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
From the shadows of the dense jungle, hulking figures emerged—bigger, bulkier, and more intimidating than the goblins he had faced before.
"Orcs," Chen muttered. "And not just any... these are SSS-rank."
They were monsters in every sense of the word. Eight feet tall, skin like ironstone, jagged tusks jutting from their lower jaws, and blood-red eyes glowing with primal rage. Each of them wielded brutal weapons—massive war axes, bone clubs, and even enchanted spears dripping with corrosive energy.
There were at least a dozen of them, and they moved with grim discipline.
"So it’s not just raw strength... They’re organized."
He didn’t wait. The longer he stood idle, the more likely he’d be surrounded. With a flash, he teleported forward, landing in the middle of the group and unleashing a gravity burst.
BOOM!
A dome of 1000x gravity exploded around him, immediately forcing several orcs to their knees. The weaker ones couldn’t move, groaning under the crushing pressure.
Chen’s movements blurred as he launched himself at the nearest orc, delivering a devastating punch to its chest. The force cracked ribs and launched the beast backward into a jagged rock formation.
He weaved between axes and clubs, his enhanced strength and agility finally showing its worth. One orc tried to grab him—Chen ducked, twisted, and smashed his knee into its jaw, followed by a spinning elbow that shattered its skull.
"Six down..." he whispered, breathing steadily.
Then the ground trembled again.
But this time, it wasn’t from movement. It was from presence.
A massive shadow loomed from the far end of the clearing.
The other orcs suddenly stepped back, retreating and roaring in unison.
Chen’s eyes narrowed.
"Of course... there’s a leader."
Emerging from the mist came a monstrosity of an orc—nearly twelve feet tall, double the size of the rest. Its skin was obsidian black, with glowing crimson patterns carved into its flesh like runes. Two large axes, each as tall as a man, hung across its back.
Its aura was oppressive. Crushing.
"That’s no ordinary orc... that’s a Lord-class variant."
[System Alert]
— Orc Chieftain Detected
— SSS-Rank Elite
— Title: Warborn Executioner
— Special Traits: Spell Resistance, Frenzy Mode, Anti-Teleportation Field
Chen’s pupils shrank.
"Anti-teleportation?!"
Before he could react, the orc chieftain let out a deep, guttural roar. A wave of dark red energy exploded from its body, canceling all teleportation spells within the area.
Then it charged.
BOOM!
Its first step shattered the ground. Its second brought it right in front of Chen, swinging both axes with unnatural speed.
Chen raised his arm to block—but the blow sent him flying.
CRASH!
He hit a tree with such force that the bark exploded and the entire trunk snapped in half.
Coughing up blood, Chen rolled to his feet, panting heavily.
"Shit... that power. It’s nothing like the goblins..."
He tried to summon Void Energy, but the anti-magic field distorted his flow. The energy flickered and cracked erratically.
"Even Void is limited here..."
The Orc Chieftain advanced, dragging one of its axes across the ground, sparks flying as it moved with measured aggression.
"You’re smart, too," Chen muttered, wiping blood from his chin. "Great."
He charged forward again, launching a high-speed flurry of punches, trying to find a weak spot. But the chieftain’s body was like armor. Even his enhanced strength barely left dents.
Worse—every attack made it angrier.
It suddenly entered Frenzy Mode. Its eyes turned fully red. Muscles expanded. Speed doubled.
"Tch—!"
WHAM!
Chen was caught by a sweeping kick that sent him skidding across the jungle floor. His ribs screamed in protest.
"Okay... okay..." he groaned. "This is different. This guy’s above my current level."
He stood, legs shaking, and forced himself to breathe slowly.
"I can’t overpower him. Not yet. I need to be smarter."
Chen began baiting the chieftain, weaving between trees, forcing the monster to strike and miss. Every missed blow left craters in the ground. Chen used that to his advantage—dodging, redirecting, tiring the beast out.
But it was slow progress.
One wrong step, and he’d die.
Still, despite the odds, a grin tugged at Chen’s lips.
"If this is what SSS really means... I’ll climb it, step by step."
He touched his chest, where Chaos Energy remained locked, pulsing faintly like a caged storm.
"Just wait. Once I unlock this power..."
He pointed at the Orc Chieftain, blood still dripping from his lip.
"You’ll be the first to fall."
Another bone splintered as the Orc Chieftain slammed Chen Yu into the ground, creating a crater nearly five meters deep. The jungle trembled. Birds scattered. Even the wind dared not breathe.
Chen coughed violently, blood dripping from his lips onto the shattered earth. His body was screaming. His vision blurred.
But still... he stood.
He rose slowly, like a revenant, cracked bones shifting back into place unnaturally. His eyes—no longer shaken—were calm. Focused.
"So this is the limit of my stats..."
He wiped the blood away with the back of his hand and whispered:
"Then I’ll stop pretending."
He extended his hand forward, palm open. The air around him shifted—no, it collapsed.
The trees bent unnaturally. Space shimmered. The very laws of nature recoiled from his presence.
The air around Chen imploded silently, as if existence had been deleted pixel by pixel. Black tendrils of anti-light spiraled around him. His aura was no longer chaotic—it was something far worse.
It was Absolute Stillness.
Even the frenzied Orc Chieftain
A hush fell over the battlefield. The beasts didn’t move—they couldn’t. Before them stood Chen Yu, cloaked in an aura that devoured light itself. The energy of the End of All Beings wasn’t just power; it was erasure—finality.
His eyes glowed dimly, no longer human.
The jungle watched in silence, the system flickering as if struggling to keep up.
Somewhere, far beyond Earth, a sealed tomb pulsed once.
A voice, long forgotten, whispered:
"So... the end has chosen its host."
And in that moment, the world tilted quietly, unaware that destiny had already begun to unravel from its seams.
