The ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE SYSTEM -
Chapter 65: MYSTERIOUS MAN
Chapter 65: MYSTERIOUS MAN
The man in the black robe stood arrogantly before me, completely still, as if the destruction all around him meant absolutely nothing. He didn’t even flinch. His aura was calm, yet every instinct in my body was screaming that this man was dangerous—extremely dangerous.
He stood there with the posture of someone who was absolutely certain—certain that I couldn’t do a single thing to stop him.
I narrowed my eyes. Too calm. Too confident.
Without wasting a second, I summoned my system screen.
Name: ????Rank: SRRClass: Light Brawler {Advanced} {HIDDEN}
My pupils shrank in disbelief.
What the hell is this?
A hidden class? And not just that—it’s marked as Advanced?
Even more surprising was the name of the class—Light Brawler? I had never heard of such a class before. Not in my past life. Not even in the legends I had studied.
The challenges only ended around a month ago... And yet someone like this already exists?
I clenched my fists tightly, trying to stay calm.
He wasn’t someone I remembered. He didn’t belong to any known faction, family, or organization. No records. No reputation. No name.
But the system doesn’t lie.
Even Hui’er—who’s bound to me through a Demon Contract and far stronger than most people—she wouldn’t be on his level. This man was something else entirely. Something terrifying.
A cold bead of sweat slid down my temple.
I had two uses left. Only two.
Should I use my exclusive ability now...?
My eyes hovered over the icon. With just one tap, I could rewrite something about the fight—his ability, his stats, even the battlefield itself. But I hesitated.
Just then, another line flashed across the system screen:
Behavior: Friendly
...Friendly?
My head snapped up in shock.
What the hell?
I’ve never seen him before. Not in this life. Not in the past.
Why would he be marked as friendly?
Before I could even try to understand it—he moved.
BOOM!
He disappeared in an instant.
No sound. No aura. No warning.
And then—CRACK!
A punch smashed straight into my face with power I hadn’t felt in years. The force was insane. The ground beneath me exploded, tiles shattering like glass. My entire body was thrown through the air like a ragdoll.
I crashed outside the mansion, tearing through the stone path and tumbling across the yard before finally skidding to a stop near the edge of the training courtyard.
I coughed once, wiping the blood from my lip.
My eyes stayed locked onto him as he slowly walked forward. His footsteps echoed—steady, calm, and terrifying.
I spat to the side and stood up. My voice was sharp, angry.
"Oi! What the hell was that?!"
He stopped walking.
"I don’t even know you! You break into my home, blast through the door, punch me in the face—and you’re marked as friendly?!" I snapped. "Are you out of your mind?! I was planning to talk, but now—"
He chuckled.
A low, amused laugh, muffled beneath his hood.
"You think you’re in any position to talk to me?" His voice echoed coldly. "I came here to test your strength. That was just the first hit."
He tilted his head slightly. "And you barely withstood it."
I clenched my jaw tightly.
And just then—bright flashes of light.
The door behind us burst open again. Hui’er shot out like a silver storm, her hair whipping behind her, fury in her golden eyes.
She saw me injured—and something snapped inside her.
"You!" she screamed, her aura exploding in fury. "Who dared to hurt my husband?! I’ll tear you to pieces!"
Flames of rage danced behind her as Meiyun and Ruxue rushed out next, both running straight to my side.
"Chen Yu!" Meiyun’s face was pale, filled with worry.
"Are you okay?!" Ruxue asked quickly, forming a defensive stance beside me.
But the man in black didn’t even glance at them. He stood perfectly still. His focus was locked only on me.
I raised my hand, still breathing hard.
"Hui’er," I said firmly. "Stand down."
She froze on the spot.
"Back off," I repeated, wiping the blood off my chin. "I’ll deal with him myself."
"But—!"
"You’re not his match," I said coldly. "None of you are."
Silence fell.
Even the wind seemed to stop moving.
Everyone watched as I stepped forward again, facing the monster in front of me. My body ached, my blood still burning from the earlier punch—but my determination burned even more.
He wanted to test me?
Fine. I’d show him exactly who I was.
But Hui’er didn’t back down. She stepped closer again, lightning crackling faintly through her silver hair. Her golden eyes locked onto mine.
"I think you’ve forgotten something," she said coolly. "Right now, I’m more powerful than you. How can you just cast me aside like this?"
Her voice was proud, strong—but I could hear the pain beneath it. The worry. The fear.
I exhaled and stepped closer, placing a hand gently on her shoulder.
"Hui’er..." I looked into her eyes. My voice was firm, but soft. "I know. But this fight—it’s mine."
She narrowed her eyes, fists trembling.
"I don’t want to see you hurt," I added. "I don’t want any injuries on you. Please... just trust me. Let me handle this."
She hesitated. Her lips quivered slightly. But after a long moment, she gave a faint nod and slowly stepped back. Meiyun and Ruxue followed, though they still looked tense and unwilling.
I turned back toward the man in the black robe. He hadn’t moved an inch.
I raised my hand.
"[Time Lock]."
A translucent dome of warped light expanded outward, covering him. Time inside the barrier slowed dramatically. Reality itself twisted as my Lawrenderer authority altered time within.
But—
CRACK!
It shattered. Instantly.
I blinked. Impossible. That barrier was built with Lawrenderer authority... Not even S-rank beasts should be able to break it that easily.
He laughed—not like a villain, but like someone genuinely amused.
"Haha... so you really are a Lawrenderer, kid."
I froze.
My heart skipped a beat.
What did he just say?
He... knows?
That can’t be possible. No one is supposed to know. I’m the first Lawrenderer to ever exist on Earth. In my past life, that class never even existed. I only got it because of the Ultimate Experience System—something from beyond this world.
So how the hell does he know?
I looked at him with more caution now. And fear. His face was still hidden in shadow, but his presence felt even more real. Solid. Unshakable.
Does he even belong to this world?
Is he from Earth...? Or one of the merged worlds? Could he be connected to the System somehow?
I clenched my teeth. I needed answers.
Raising both hands, I summoned another skill. This time, I layered my domain with intense gravitational force.
"[Gravity Manipulation: Compression Field—1000x]."
The ground beneath him cracked, cratered, and caved in. The air around him warped under the crushing pressure—enough to destroy mountains.
But him?
He didn’t move. Not even a step.
He calmly dusted off his shoulder.
"Even after increasing it a thousand times... nothing?!" I muttered in disbelief.
He chuckled again. "Kid... even though my rank is currently lowered, I can still fight small fries like you. You’re not impressive yet."
His words hit harder than any punch.
Calm. Mocking. Brutal.
"I thought you’d be more than this," he added, narrowing his eyes.
And then—his aura exploded.
"[Trait: Invincible]."
The world trembled. A dark-golden light wrapped around him like a divine shield.
Trait Activated: INVINCIBLE— Receives 0 Physical or Magical Damage for 5 Minutes— Immune to Class Suppression or Authority Interference
I gritted my teeth.
What kind of ridiculous trait is this?!
He stood there confidently, practically daring me to try something.
I glanced back at my system screen and whispered under my breath:
"[Copy Trait]."
A blink later—success.
[Trait: Invincible] has been copied successfully. Remaining Uses: 1
A second golden aura wrapped around me, mirroring his.
The man’s eyebrows rose in interest.
"Well, well..." he said with a smirk. Then he laughed. "Interesting! So you even have a trait-copying subclass. Didn’t expect that!"
I froze.
How the hell did he know that?!
Even if I copied his trait, it should have been invisible. The system doesn’t show those details to others. Not even S-ranks can track it.
But he noticed it instantly.
I stepped back slightly, feeling shaken.
What the hell is this guy...?
He grinned beneath the hood. "Surprised? You should be."
I narrowed my eyes. "You shouldn’t have been able to sense that. No one should. Not even S-ranks can track my system."
His smile didn’t fade.
"You think I follow the same rules as everyone else?"
A long pause followed.
Then he raised a single hand and beckoned with a smirk.
"Come. Let’s test your power for real now."
I clenched my fists. Energy surged through me.
I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you are.
But I’m going to break through—and find out.
