Chapter 47: 47. Really the First Time? (First Update, PK for Collection)

Shen Xitong had drunk quite a lot of alcohol tonight. It was her first time being so carefree. She had a fire burning within her, and today, after being rejected by Fu Hengyi, it erupted completely.

In an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar men, and bodies wildly swaying, all these experiences were so novel and captivating to her.

The hands of the man holding her rested on her thigh, taking advantage of the situation. Shen Xitong wasn’t annoyed; instead, she leaned closer to him, exhaling softly by his ear, an enchanting smile on her heavily made-up face.

The man couldn’t resist such provocation. He tightened his grip on Shen Xitong, intending to take her out of the dance floor. But Shen Xitong twisted her body, slipped out of his embrace, and pulled another man nearby to dance with her.

Shen Qinglan watched with great interest from above. Although Shen Xitong’s makeup was heavy tonight, her clothing revealingly sexy, vastly different from her usual pure goddess image, strangers wouldn’t recognize her, but these were no issues for Shen Qinglan.

She was too familiar with Shen Xitong. Even if she dressed like this, she could still spot her at a glance in the crowd.

"What are you looking at?" Fu Hengyi’s voice sounded in her ear, pulling Shen Qinglan back to her senses.

"Why are you out here?" Wasn’t he in the private room?

"Just getting some fresh air," Fu Hengyi replied, not mentioning that he hadn’t seen her return for a while, was worried something had happened, and came out to find her.

"Want to go down?" Fu Hengyi followed Shen Qinglan’s gaze to look below. Seeing nothing special, he just assumed she wanted to go down to the bar.

Shen Qinglan retracted her gaze and shook her head. "No, I seemed to have seen someone familiar just now, but then realized I was mistaken. Let’s go."

Fu Hengyi didn’t suspect anything.

The two returned to the private room; the group had started another round of playing mahjong.

"Little sister-in-law, want to join a game?" Han Yi invited.

Shen Qinglan shook her head in refusal, "I don’t know how to play."

Han Yi’s eyes lit up, "Not knowing how to play is the best reason to learn! Little sister-in-law, it’s very simple. I’ll teach you. If you win tonight, the winnings are yours. If you lose, they’ll be on Hengyi."

Shen Qinglan said, "Isn’t the usual rule that if I lose, it’s on you, and if I win, it’s mine?"

"Alright, we’ll do as the little sister-in-law says. If you lose, it’s on me. If you win, it’s all yours." Han Yi agreed cheerfully. Being a novice, they hardly believed she could beat them. Even if she lost, it wouldn’t be by much.

Gu Kai stood up to give Shen Qinglan a seat.

Shen Qinglan sat down, and Fu Hengyi pulled over a chair to sit beside her.

Seeing this, Han Yi quickly said, "Let’s set things straight, Fu Hengyi, you can’t help her." That guy could count cards, and even if all of them teamed up, they wouldn’t be a match for him.

Fu Hengyi didn’t even glance at him but simply said to Shen Qinglan, "Don’t worry about losing. Even if you lose everything, it’s fine. Your husband has money."

Shen Qinglan gave him a glance and didn’t speak. The actual outcome of who wins or loses was still uncertain.

Shen Qinglan was indeed a beginner. She only recognized the tiles after Han Yi explained them. However, her memory was excellent; once Han Yi explained them, she remembered all the tiles.

Once they officially started, Han Yi’s initial nonchalance faded as cold sweat came out by the end. Except for the first three rounds that Shen Qinglan lost, she won every following round.

Many times, just as Han Yi was about to complete a winning hand, Shen Qinglan cut him off. Once or twice could be an accident, but three or four times, Han Yi refused to believe it wasn’t intentional, even if his life depended on it.

"Little sister-in-law, you’re cheating! You’re not a novice; you’re the one who’s truly the master at hiding your skills," Han Yi shouted after losing another round, unwillingly.

Fu Hengyi gave Han Yi a sidelong glance, "If you can’t handle losing, then don’t play."

"Am I the one who can’t handle losing? It’s clear that the little sister-in-law is pretending to be harmless while being a pro." Han Yi was exasperated, never having seen such betrayal for a woman from a brother.

"I really am playing this for the first time," Shen Qinglan thought calmly, with innocent eyes. Otherwise, you wouldn’t even have had the chance to win the first three rounds.

"I believe what little sister-in-law says," Jiang Chenxi spoke up.

Gu Yang nodded in agreement.

The two of them had lost quite a bit tonight as well, but compared to Han Yi, their losses were negligible.

Han Yi was skeptical, "Really?"

Shen Qinglan nodded confidently.

"This is so illogical; I can’t believe I lost to someone who just learned."

"Because little sister-in-law can count cards," Jiang Chenxi teased, revealing the mystery.

Han Yi was at a loss for words, looking at Shen Qinglan as if she were a monster.

"Remember to transfer my wife’s pocket money to my account tomorrow. You know the account," Fu Hengyi reminded, ensuring his wife received her due. "It’s getting late. We’ll head back now."

Having said that, he didn’t look at anyone present and, with his arm around Shen Qinglan, left. The two didn’t go anywhere else but went straight home.

At home, each of them washed up and, that night, Fu Hengyi didn’t do anything. He just held Shen Qinglan as they slept.

He had said that he wanted more than just Shen Qinglan’s body; her heart was even more important. He had the patience to wait for the day when she willingly gave it to him.
