Chapter 348: 350. Shen Junyu’s Counterattack 3 (20 updates)
Cao Shiyu moved out of her husband’s house on the same day and checked into a hotel. She hadn’t expected that just offering Chen Su a suggestion would cost her her family. Shen Junyu was indeed ruthless in his actions.
She called Chen Su, and Chen Su did answer, "Chen Su, because of you, my husband lost his job, and now I’ve divorced him. Are you satisfied?" Cao Shiyu said angrily as soon as the call connected.
Chen Su’s voice was indifferent, emotionless, "This is the retribution of dishonesty, Cao Shiyu. I was wrong to agree to help you in the first place. I’ve also resigned from the company now. Let’s not contact each other anymore."
"Chen Su, what do you mean? I became like this because of you. Shouldn’t you compensate me?"
"We both have ourselves to blame," Chen Su said once, then ended the call.
Cao Shiyu tried to call again but the phone was turned off.

In the Junlan Group president’s office, Shen Junyu listened to Yu Bin’s report, his expression mild.
After thinking for a moment, Yu Bin asked, "President Shen, should we leave this matter as it is, or..."
Shen Junyu smiled meaningfully, "She still has a lot of savings, enough to snag a golden son-in-law. What do you think?"
Yu Bin immediately understood, "Got it, President Shen. I’ll take care of it right away."
Shen Junyu hummed an acknowledgment, then continued, "Since she likes using those methods to get men, let her have a taste of her own medicine."
Yu Bin tightened inside, "Understood."
Unable to get through to Chen Su’s phone, Cao Shiyu went to her house to find her, but nobody was home. After knocking for a long time, a neighbor came out and said the person had moved. When Cao Shiyu asked where she went, the neighbor said they didn’t know.
Unable to find Chen Su and full of anger, Cao Shiyu found a decent-looking bar and went in. She sat alone at the bar, sipping her drink on a cold winter’s day, dressed only in a thin, tight, off-shoulder dress that revealed a deep cleavage, drawing the green-eyed gaze of nearby men.
Cao Shiyu ignored the surrounding gazes and continued drinking glass after glass. After several drinks, she put down the money and left. Seeing this, a few men exchanged glances and followed her.
As Cao Shiyu stepped out of the bar, the men crowded around her, getting touchy-feely. Cao Shiyu slapped away their hands, "Back off, I’m not in the mood to play with you."
The men were not inclined to let her leave and continued grabbing her, speaking indecently. Just as Cao Shiyu was getting impatient, a man came over and wrapped her in his arms, "Didn’t I tell you I’d be a bit late and asked you to wait a little longer? Why are you so disobedient, running out here alone? And not even wearing a coat; what if you got sick?" Though his words were reproachful, his tone was gentle.
Realizing she was accompanied, the other men left disgruntled.
The man let go of Cao Shiyu, his smile gentle, "I apologize for the rush earlier. I didn’t mean to offend."
Cao Shiyu sized up the man. He was quite refined-looking, dressed well though she couldn’t make out the brand. It certainly didn’t look cheap—the man was quality.
After Cao Shiyu had taken her measure, a smile slowly spread across her face, "I should be thanking you for helping me out just now."
The man grinned, "As long as you don’t mind me meddling. Are you here to drink too? How about we have a drink inside?"
"Sure," Cao Shiyu agreed readily, then turned cunning, "This bar isn’t good. Let’s go to another, how about Charming Color?"
The man chuckled, "Okay, I drove here, do you want to ride with me?"
Cao Shiyu nodded and followed the man to the car, whistling when she saw the limited edition sports car worth millions in front of her, "Big spender."
The man didn’t catch her remark, "What?"
"I said this is a nice car."
"I don’t have many hobbies; I just like cars and occasionally come to bars to unwind."
"Running to nightclubs, aren’t you afraid your wife at home will get angry?" Cao Shiyu raised her brows playfully.
The man laughed lightly, "I’m a single man without even a girlfriend. Where would I get a wife?"
Cao Shiyu feigned surprise, "Impossible, you don’t look like you would be single."
"Too busy with work usually, no time for a girlfriend."
"What do you do for work?"
"I co-own a company with a friend, just a small venture," the man responded.
Cao Shiyu quickly calculated in her mind. Hmm, owns a business, economically stable, still single, and also good-looking—a top-quality man indeed. She inwardly sighed at her good luck.
By the time they reached Charming Color, Cao Shiyu had learned the man’s contact details, address, and even his company’s address, which turned out to be a well-known local enterprise. She enjoyed chatting with the man even more.
Although they enjoyed each other’s company, Cao Shiyu had no intention of taking things further with the man. Some things still required time to develop; men who got what they wanted too easily often didn’t cherish it.
"Try this, I had the bartender make it especially for you." The man placed a cup of colorful liquid in front of Cao Shiyu. She lifted it and took a sip, "Hmm, it tastes good." Then she took a big gulp.
The man held her hand, "Drink slowly, this one is strong."
Cao Shiyu smiled, "It’s okay, I can hold my liquor."
Seeing Cao Shiyu down the drink in one gulp, the man gestured to the bartender, who nodded and mixed another drink, placing it in front of her, "The last one was too strong, try this one, it’s milder."
"You’re always so thoughtful," Cao Shiyu said gently.
After a few drinks, Cao Shiyu felt a warmth spreading through her body and fanned herself with her hand, "Is it hot in here, or is it just me?"
The man shook his head, "Is it the alcohol taking effect? I told you not to drink like that. You never listen, now look."
Cao Shiyu smiled slightly, "I’ll sober up in a bit. I’ll go outside for some fresh air." Saying this, she stood up to leave.
The man stood up as well, holding her hand, "Let me take you home, it’s getting late."
Cao Shiyu thought for a moment and nodded, "Okay."
As they left Charming Color and the cold breeze hit her, Cao Shiyu sobered up a bit, "Sorry to trouble you with taking me back."
The man smiled, "Isn’t it proper to escort a lady home at night? Where do you live?"
Cao Shiyu gave him the hotel address, explaining, "My house is being renovated, so I’m temporarily staying at a hotel."
The man nodded in understanding. He turned on the car heater, and soon, Cao Shiyu felt waves of heat washing over her—a feeling she recognized, but she didn’t attribute it to the evening’s drinks. She thought it was just because she had drunk too much, compounded by meeting a man who was a better catch than her husband—no, her ex-husband—and her hormones were just reacting.
The man dropped Cao Shiyu at the hotel. Seeing her wobble as she walked, he stepped forward to support her, saying uneasily, "Let me take you upstairs. I promise I’ll leave as soon as I get you to your room door."
Cao Shiyu was about to refuse, but the words got stuck in her throat. True to his word, once Cao Shiyu had unlocked her door and gone in, the man turned to leave—only to find Cao Shiyu hugging him from behind, her cheek rubbing against his back, "Stay with me tonight, will you?"
A glint of shrewdness flashed in the man’s eyes as he turned around and lifted her chin, "You’re the one asking me to stay, little fairy."
Cao Shiyu smiled seductively and offered her lips, igniting a fiery passion between them.
Soon, they were entangled with each other, from the doorway to the bedroom, leaving a trail of clothes along the way. Before long, sounds that could make anyone’s heart race filled the room; in a haze, the man leaned in close to Cao Shiyu’s ear and asked softly, "Baby, what’s your bank card PIN?"
"876451," Cao Shiyu slurred the six digits, her eyes glazed and mind unclear.
The man was satisfied and asked further, "And your phone’s password?"
"170908."
The man leaned in to kiss her deeply, "You are wonderful, baby!"
After making sure Cao Shiyu was asleep, he picked up her phone and pressed a few buttons, then smiled at the transaction notifications popping up on his phone. Bending down, he kissed her face once more, "Thanks, my little fairy, we shall never meet again."
Dressed neatly, the man left the hotel in high spirits.
When Cao Shiyu woke up the next morning, the man was nowhere to be seen. She didn’t mind, as she had taken his contact details, confident she could find him if needed.
She touched her sore waist and smiled tenderly; this man had pleased her more than her ex-husband did, making her almost scream the previous night.
Suddenly, she froze as she noticed the bank notifications on her phone. Stunned, she stared at the credit card transaction records, quickly calculating losses of five to six hundred thousand yuan—one card was maxed out.
Cao Shiyu bolted upright, oblivious to her nakedness, and checked her phone—only to find her photo gallery populated with her nude pictures and several shots of her making love with the man, his face never visible, hers clearly so.
A note was left on the nightstand: "Baby, did you enjoy my service last night? Since you were sleeping, I took my payment. I’ve left a little gift in your phone, hope you like it. If not, I have more."
It dawned on Cao Shiyu—this supposed golden son-in-law was nothing but a swindler. She had been deceived financially and emotionally.
Panic-stricken, she quickly dressed and rushed to the nearby bank, only to find that the divorce settlement she had just received from her former husband was completely gone, and she was now hundreds of thousands in debt.
She collapsed to the ground in despair.
Bank employees, noticing her, looked at her curiously and approached, "Miss, are you alright?"
