The Tycoon’s Enchanted Mermaid
Chapter 191: Fishing

Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Fishing

Ah Da, wearing swimming goggles, found the seawater so clear that it reached the bottom, even more stunning than sitting on the boat, she felt completely relaxed and delighted soaking in the water.

Suddenly, she was lifted by the shoulders, and Ah Da blinked her bright eyes as she looked at Qin Yu in front of her. He reached out to adjust the oxygen tank on her back and followed by tying a rope between their wrists, securing a knot in the middle.

"To prevent you from running off and having an accident,"

Qin Yu said so.

Ah Da pouted, "If an accident really happens, who knows who will save whom. Technically, this is my home ground in the water."

Qin Yu snickered, water droplets sliding down his handsome face, his voice deep and magnetic. Ah Da felt her ears burn, clearly mistrusted, so she could only glare fiercely at him.

Damn you, Qin Yu!

After diving, Ah Da was gradually captivated by the underwater scenery and soon forgot about her spat with Qin Yu. Holding his arm, she pointed out strange and colorful fish to share with him, the accompanying diving staff handed over a speargun, and Qin Yu took it and aimed straight at a fleeing fish.

The metal arrow pierced through the fish’s belly, bigger than two hands put together, the blue fish slowly flipped belly up.

Ah Da’s eyes lit up, her legs fluttering slightly, her body gliding through the water like a fish, reaching out to grab the blue fish, only to find it slipped out of her grasp with a flick of its tail.

Several attempts failed to secure it.

Finally, a diving staff swam over, grabbed it, and showed it to her before putting the fish in a mesh bag.

Qin Yu pointed towards a group of coral below, signaling for Ah Da to continue in that direction.

The coral was bizarrely shaped and colorful, with various small fish swimming in groups. As Ah Da approached, countless small fish swarmed around her, touching her hands, body, and diving goggles.

She reached out slowly to touch the school of fish, it seemed they were nibbling at her fingers. With faint sensory feedback immersed in seawater, the feeling was quite miraculous, as if she was communicating with them, both releasing goodwill.

It was really beautiful.

Qin Yu pulled up a round creature from among the corals, dark and covered in long spines bursting out fiercely. Ah Da swam over to him, eager to play with it.

Just as she was about to take it, he twisted his wrist, and Ah Da anxiously grabbed his arm.

"...Let me see..."

Even though she was wearing diving equipment, Ah Da could actually speak and breathe in the water, but she dared not make it too obvious since there were more than just her and Qin Yu in the ocean.

Qin Yu handed the sea urchin to her, and Ah Da was surprised to find that the black long spines were moving—how magical. Yet she didn’t find it strange but rather felt she had seen it somewhere before.

Even the little fish and corals seemed eerily familiar, perhaps when she was a Merfolk, this vast blue sea was her homeland.

Thinking so, a slow smile of joy surfaced on Ah Da’s lips, immersed comfortably and securely in the seawater.

Qin Yu tugged the rope, signaling her to come up.

Ah Da turned around, handed the sea urchin to the accompanying diver, and expelled a cluster of bubbles from her breathing tube.

Following Qin Yu, diving deep into the sea, Ah Da immediately spotted a conch resting in the sand, its snowy head poking out while foraging, the whole shape conical, the shell longer than her arm, a very large one.

The moment she touched the conch, it retracted; the thick shell was impossible to lift with one hand, requiring both hands to barely manage, heavier than she anticipated.

Ah Da’s eyes darted about, touching the hard shell, excitedly shaking it towards Qin Yu. Though his face was not clear, she could definitely feel he was smiling.

Collecting the conch, add one.

Next, Qin Yu led Ah Da through the coral thickets, scooping up conches, crabs, and various colored fish.

Ah Da tried spearfishing, but her aim was off, letting a big red fish slip away before giving up entirely—for professional tasks, it was better to leave them to the professionals.

Qin Yu, however, was quite adept. His arrows never missed, striking through the heart of a fish from a great distance, even piercing two fish with a single shot once.

By the time they got back to the yacht, with two full net bags of their catch, the sky had already darkened, and the moon, hanging in the sky like a silver plate, was much bigger than what one would see in Capital City.

Wrapped in a towel, Ah Da wrung the water from her hair, while Qin Yu, who had just removed his diving goggles at the bow, had his short hair wetly clinging to his forehead. He flicked his head slightly, exuding an indescribable coolness.

Seeing him approach, Ah Da felt a bit embarrassed by her earlier ogling and, on impulse, handed over the towel she was holding, "Do you want to wipe off a bit?"

She realized too late that there were more than one towel prepared on the yacht, plenty actually, and the one she was holding was already used by her. It didn’t seem quite appropriate to offer it to Qin Yu.

Her hand, paler and more transparent after being soaked in the sea, retracted slightly, tempted to pull back.

Qin Yu didn’t mind at all, naturally taking it and using it to wipe his head, and even his neck and face.

Ah Da’s face grew warm. She hastily stood up, ran to the box to get a clean towel, and darted back to his side to wipe his arms. She didn’t know what she was doing—her brain seemed off, probably water had gotten in while diving.

Blundering foolishly.

Qin Yu was mildly surprised; the young girl was taking the initiative to help him dry off, which was quite flattering.

"How come you’ve suddenly become so good?"

Qin Yu grabbed her hand and pulled her closer, lowering his head to gaze intensely at her face as if trying to see through her.

Ah Da’s heart raced, annoyed at herself for being easily influenced by him, and tossed the towel at him irritably, "Good my foot—here, use this."

Qin Yu caught the towel with a laugh, spreading it over her head and gently helping her dry her hair, then her face. Her skin was tender and a soft rosy white, and though the towel was already soft, he was careful not to rub too hard.

"How did you find diving?"

Ah Da didn’t even think, "It was fun, mainly because the seabed was so beautiful."

"Uh-huh." Qin Yu responded softly, his hands gentler, his fingers wrapped in the towel as they rubbed her ear. "If you like it, we can do it more in the coming days."

Ah Da hadn’t expected him to turn around and dry her hair. Her irritation was immediately extinguished.

A warm flutter spread in her heart; her bright eyes, sparkling with affection, could not leave him.

"Don’t look at me like that." Qin Yu pinched her chin, his eyes darkening as he spoke in a low voice.

His gaze was all too familiar to Ah Da—it was always the prelude to teasing her mercilessly.

Ah Da hastily closed her eyes, shaking her head with her hand over her mouth to plead for mercy, "No more looking, no more."

Qin Yu chuckled lowly, calling her a coward. Ah Da thought to herself, coward or not, a wise person knows their own abilities, and there would be plenty of opportunities to strike back later—she didn’t believe she would always be at a disadvantage.

Back at the villa.

Ah Da went upstairs to shower and change, only going downstairs when her hair was half-dried. Light music played in the sunny garden.

Qin Yu, already dressed in a dark blue pajama set, lay on a lounge chair, his long legs sprawled and a same-colored belt tied loosely around his waist, leaving his fair, robust chest partially exposed.

Next to him, a stove grilled the seafood they had brought from the sea, including some large clams and conchs.

An enticing aroma wafted through the air.
